You’ll never understand unless you’ve been it, no matter how many book you read or videos and movies you watch. The smell of burning flesh, the smell of rotting flesh, smell of burning hair etc. Living in it is much different than watching or reading about it.
so, as someone like you who has seen so much, I wonder what you think of my idea that the implementation of this drone warfare is changing war in such a fundamental way that investing in soldiers and machines like tanks, helicopters, and planes will become obsolete simply as a measure of cost effectiveness. Reminds me of Ender's Game and how the general trend in warfare is to move the damage that can be wielded by a single human operator ever further away from the front lines...until we reach a point where no humans die and only the machines do. Watching stuff like this and knowing quite a bit of world history makes me think that this is the direction we're headed in. but you've seen some shit, so curious as to what you think.

It's not so obvious that the soldier in the video ( 5:50 ) wasn't hit by the initial explosion. You can be injured by an explosion with little or no visible signs. It's overpressure from the shockwave: damage to lungs, eardrums, etc.
So even a relatively small explosion from 20' away can have that big of a shockwave? I can see being startled, knocked down, and having eardrum damage but could it be enough to cause permanent damage or even kill a person?

Well, the estimates are around 800k-1mil-ish. BUT people mistake casualty as DEAD. But that's not the case. It's not 1 million dead. It's 1 million "took out of the fight".. Casualty includes; POWs, WIA(Wounded in action) to the point they cannot fight, MIA(Missing in action; which includes deserters). . . Now, this does not included just normal wounded. Only wounded to the extent that they are 100% out of the fight. And for Russia, that means you're pretty fucked up. Don't get me wrong, a large portion is dead. And it's a crazy/staggering number. During Vietnam America had around 41k KIA in ~19 YEARS of warfare. And most of America considers Vietnam a loss and a tragic loss of life for nothing. . . 3 Year almost a million -vs- 41k in 19 years. Just puts the insanity of this war in prospective.
Why would the soldier do that? This war sickens me. I blame Russia for invading, obviously, but when will the killing end? Christ died on the Cross for us. Killing each other does not honor Christ. Can we please stop this war? 🙏

I don't feel sorry for the Russians. Many of them are ready to kill Ukrainians for money. Believe me, many of them are still zombies who want NATO countries to become nuclear ashes. Those Russians in the videos of Ukrainian drones are not patriots and nationalists, they are poor, uneducated strata of the population who signed a contract with the army and who knew that they would kill Ukrainians for 300 thousand rubles or more. There are not that many real soldiers in this war on the Russian side, so in Russia they either forcibly recruit people of a new age for conscription or they sign a contract in pursuit of easy money.
Falling back doesn't have to be a last resort. There are plenty of situations where it makes much more sense to abandon a compromised position and regroup, than it does to try to fight in a spot that will get you killed. You're no good to your military if you're dead.

It's not so much the armor that gets damaged but any moving part around or behind it. Like the tracks, tires, hydraulics, etc or many times the hatch is open and it gets dropped directly into it. But also the drones are sometimes carrying pretty large explosives or an rpg round
@@herehere3139 but i think RPG cannot destroy tank like t92, Abraham, leopard. And those drone explosive is small (twice as grenade explosive) but grenade cannot destroy not only modern tank but even soviet era old tank.

No they won't typically destroy the armor itself but the linkage or mechanical parts behind or around the armor. Or if dropped in the hatch that multiplies the damage from the extra compression inside, or exploding the ordanace inside
They drop the charges on the tops because they are not as armoured as the rest of the vehicle that's why sometimes you'll see them with those weird DIY covers over the tops that's always been a problem with Russian tanks that and how they store the ammo the ammo is the reason the tops go flying

at 6:00 he's not checking himself... he knows he's hit and he knows he will die, because he is aware of the drone.
what you actually see him doing is pulling the pin from a grenade and holding it to his neck... you can see that his grenade went off before the projectile hit the ground. it is a much bigger explosion. the explosive from the drone would not have caused him to explode. it would hit him with shrapnel. it was not a direct hit.

at 16:00 it is obviously a drone... also, check the ground in first view, and identify it in the second view. the soldier only walked 10 meters before collapsing in a ditch... he doesn't lie down in a trench... he was obviously wounded himself, and in shock. if he was unhurt and trying to survive, don't you think he would run away or try to hide? he was neither cold-blooded or weak - he was dying.

Can small explosive launched by drone really destroy tank's strong armour?
It's not so much the armor that gets damaged but any moving part around or behind it. Like the tracks, tires, hydraulics, etc or many times the hatch is open and it gets dropped directly into it. But also the drones are sometimes carrying pretty large explosives or an rpg round

And those drone explosive is small (twice as grenade explosive) but grenade cannot destroy not only modern tank but even soviet era old tank.

No they won't typically destroy the armor itself but the linkage or mechanical parts behind or around the armor. Or if dropped in the hatch that multiplies the damage from the extra compression inside, or exploding the ordanace inside
They drop the charges on the tops because they are not as armoured as the rest of the vehicle that's why sometimes you'll see them with those weird DIY covers over the tops that's always been a problem with Russian tanks that and how they store the ammo the ammo is the reason the tops go flying
