Yo this was perfect for what I've been wanting to get figured out. I much prefer "here's some techniques for you to fuck around with" over "how to do exactly what im doing" type videos. Usually if it's the latter, I've deviated away from it once the little bit of info I was looking for gets touched on and I go down a rabbit hole of experimenting on my own.
I think the most important thing in this video for me is probably remembering that randomness is something that might be good to tone down a bit. Plus, it's also a good idea to experiment with different styles. For instance, using lines to add a bit of detail to your larger "panels". EDIT: Also, it's interesting that voronoi is so useful for sci-fi textures, since it's what one would use for more natural textures (because it's something we always see in nature).
I started creating shaders after watching Grant abit's videos suggested by Ducky and now I'm able to create many shaders by myself. One more thing for those who don't have a powerful pc (Mine is a dual core with 4gb ram) must use upbge 3 for creating shaders and animation, and I'm telling you it's quite fast than other blender versions. Keep creating and keep learning.👍👍👍
Love your content! Had a question, i'm currently struggling with shading an object in the shading window. I created these cool tentacles for a stranger things concept that I'm working on, however when I try to add nodes in the shader window to adjust the color/texture etc... Nothing happens. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
hello Ducky can you plzz help me with the voronoi texture like how do i get a thin lines of emission between voronoi i want a emission between voronoi not on voronoi somewhat like wave texture a thin like of wave texture by adjusting color ramp By the way your tutorials inspired me learned blender thank you so much for these amazing tutorials It's like i am very much waiting for your tutorials
@@TheDucky3D OP is just being weird. Honestly though, I think it'd be better if you placed it on the top right; in context it just let's us see the attributes section in full & you still get to be on screen. But that's just me. Great video regardless! 🤘🏼

Thank you for awesome content
It will be helpful if you add some toon shade material in your addon
