Halcyon days of the bus scene in London, seeing the classics such as the; Titan, Olympian, Metrobus & RM. To complete it would have been nice to see a Volvo Alisa or Fleetline but they went far too early. Also nice to see the early days of the ALX 400, one of my favourite "modern day" buses. Thank you once again for a trip down memory lane!
@@jamesfrench7299 that was a Leyland Olympian you saw in the background. Only 3 MK3 Alisa's came to London but had all gone by the time this video was filmed.
@@SoiBuakhaoRoutemasterbus like that first scene I noticed him with you outside the Marks & Spencer terminus. You unleashed a good videographer. I always look forward to his distinctive work.
Just caught a glimpse of a Scania on the 24 do you have any footage to post as I was driving the 24s around the winter spring and summer of 1999 before I moved rota's
Because in 1999, the terminus was The Swan Public House at Tottenham, shortened to seven sisters when Ken’s Bendy’s came in. Quite often 73s would often do shorter runs to even up the timetable.
@@benwesley1899 not quite true, the buses used to go back to AR, one for end of duty or meal relief , generally, they would terminate at Stoke newington … also, some would only run to Euston in morning to ensure peak times Victoria was covered… reason I know I used to work at AR… example of a duty, leave AR, run to Victoria stn .. then to Euston .. back to victoria then AR, second half of duty run to Vic and back, other duties would be AR to VS, back to SN, then VS, then AR. Etc. this was prior to Cowie taking over in 1994=.. at this video .. I could of been working at kings cross that day, as I joined lol in Jan 99 and worked at the kings cross group.
In the old days, there would be scheduled short workings on the timetable, or proper controllers planning ahead and turning a bus, now I Bus want you to turn at the very last second, seriously inconveniencing passengers, especially the mobility and visually impaired, complete shambles.
Lots of lovely routemasters and some titans lovely jubbly also the metro buses

Good stuff 👍👍👍
Thank you.....
Your late mate did great work.
Makes me emotional seeing this.
Yes, he was keen after seeing my vids. Some days we went out together, other times he'd nip out on his own.....

Great footage! I always enjoy these videos. Thank you.
My pleasure.... plenty more to come.....
Soi! You mate was a diamond for recording this, it’s something what’s clearly forgot about too much these days. Only us purists remember all this!
I'm pleased people find it interesting.... still seems quite 'new' to me!.....
Just noticed RML903, was on that last year
It’s crazy how the 63 uses completely different buses now lol
London roads when they used to move. Then TfL appeared.
Yes, i know what you mean....... anything they touch turns to sh*te!

@@fwof3347 thanks for saying! Glad to hear a first hand account!
73 used to be my local route and it still ran to seven sisters on the bendy buses@@benwesley1899
The days when bus drivers were more of a union. Now stab each other in back and giving management that division which they enjoy
