- It's been a while! But having seen a ride advertised, which included revisiting the Starcross Ferry again, I couldn't resist! So I packed up the van and headed to the coast, to ride my MTB around the Exmouth Estuary, and catch the Notorious Ferry back from Starcross. The last time the forecast was also dodgy, but turned out beautiful, but the Ferry was still closed for inclement weather. I'd take a bit of rain, if it meant I was finally able to tick the ferry off of my bucket list. So, just one thing to do, ride 70km off road and pray to the Ferry Gods, that this time, it wouldn't be cancelled!

Yay that was so uplifting and so needed, a good laugh watch you guys play in the mud.

Thanks Steve, a little damp was an under statement, I didn’t film all the massive puddles we went through, and the Shrek swamp was something else!! 😂 but we did have a laugh and it made the riding more fun.

Thanks Randel, yes, if it had been this weekend, the weather was glorious, but I think the mud made it even more fun! You just get to the point where you are wet and muddy and you don’t care and it just is funny! 🤣

Thanks Carlo, He was apparently just using Eco, and when we left Haldon, he said he had 68% battery left. I think it was around 30-40% when we finished.

I’m still here Spike, just not been wanting to ride my bike. My hours at work have changed, meaning I finish later, so I’ve not got enough time to do the things I want. Just about enough time to do the things I have to. If only I could retire!! Which obviously means, if I’ve not got any free time, I can’t ride, if I’m not riding, I can’t film, and even this was a struggle to find time to edit it!
With the longer days of summer and daylight, hopefully I will still have enough energy to do some more exciting stuff.

Thanks Wayne! I find whenever I’m somewhere new, all I can think about is exploring the area on my bike. But whenever I’m home, I just struggle going and riding on the same old roads. So I’m probably more a bike adventurer than a cyclist. I used to be a cyclist and just loved riding my bike. Not sure what changed, other than getting older! I am a Champion eater! 😂
