    Thank you my friend. I’m on the road currently and have a dumb question….where do you fill the hub oil at? Got a leaky seal and need to add oil

      @@Digginok so it goes in from the side? Like I need to take clear plastic hub nut off and feed it? I was hoping there would be a plug on top of axle tube or something

    Pretty awesome 👏 video by any chance were did you bought that socket and what sizes is it?

      I do not know, I bought a cheap Chinese set of sockets 25 years ago. If I get time I’ll try to get it for you. Side note I have since switched to grease instead of oil, it has been the best so far. No more hub seal leaks. Dexter has a builtin on it.

      Digginok Yesterday I was working on my 10k dual dexter axle and I couldn’t find the socket to remove the axle retainer nut, tomorrow I will check on Nationwide Trailers and see if I can find the right socket 2 5/16. I highly appreciated the fees back.

    How do I go from Hub oil to a grease system

    • @Digginok
      @Digginok  3 роки тому

      Mike's Bobcat Services, LLC - Michael Lambrecht I basically cleaned the bearings and hand packed them with grease, replaced the seal and used the same procedures for setting them. The grease should be changed out yearly would be best, but I occasionally jack up the trailer and check for excess slack. That would indicate failure.

      Is that a Dexter 9-32 hub stamp? I have a 1994 Fleetwood Southwind with a Ford F53 chassis. I am looking for information about my hub and the seals needed for servicing it.
