- Set eyelets in leather with a hammer and leather punch set. Tutorial for beginners to leather craft.
Eyelets are useful for reinforcing holes in leather and preventing wear and tear. They are helpful when you need to use lace in your leather project, especially if you are using thinner leather.
Eyelets in leather jewellery also make a great decoration.

I love that you show mistakes and talk about they they happened! You feel so much more personable and less showy than other leather working channels. I feel like I can actually teach myself using your videos!
Thanks so much for your nice words and hope you have a lot of fun with leather crafting.
Best explanation/ teaching so far. Thank you very much.
Thanks so much and glad it helped you.
Thank you for confirming the logic of using a smaller punch hole on thinner leather. I was suspecting that but haven't tried it yet.
Hope it helps you.
I learned so. Thank You.
Thanks for the really detailed explanations!
You're welcome!
It is soooooo awesome that you do not edit out your mistakes! Knowing what went wrong or can go wrong is half of the learning :-)
Thank you Nancy.
You're welcome!
thanks for the share. the music is so funny
Glad you like it!
Thank you . Now we know how to fix our kite.
I'm so glad!
where do you get the washers? Grommets come with them but not the eyelets I see at Hobby Lobby,
Hi, you can get them from online stores and specialist leather shops.
eyelets are 1 piece; grommets are 2 pieces. technically what this presenter is doing is setting a grommet.
What size did you use in the corset ?
Hi, I can't quite remember. About 15mm or so perhaps, but best you go with what works with the size of the cord you're using.
I'm adhering two pieces of leather back to back, but can't find a thick enough eyelet, one with a long barrel. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
The solution is to use a Skiver to thin the leather.... so that the eyelets you have, can fit through. If you don't have a skiver, carefully use a craft knife to slice some of the leather away. Hope that helps.
Woman with a hammer 👀
It will be great to just get to the point
Yes I totally agree she bloody rambled on,
I thought she was hammering in 6 inch nails
Then watch someone else?
@@millymills5747 Lol Exactly.
@@tsbda she didn't ramble on in my opinion. She is offering free information. Some people are so ungrateful and just troll other people's work just to be nasty because that I their character.
