For those of you who follow the commands on the article and get the error in WINSCP that you do not have permissions to copy files, you can login as root and issue the following commands: chown -R grid:oinstall /u01/app/grid chmod -R 775 /u01 (not chown again - as presented in the article) In the article it's chown twice, but issuing the second chown will overwrite the first, and the grid user will not have permissions to write files on the filesystem

dear amazing tutor. this two things I have doubt please explain me 1. while installing oracle database why you are not changing the user(su - oracle) you are using the user ASM.2 if you want to resize the size or add of CRS or DATA how we do that

Hi Arun Excellent Video !! I have installed the same in Oracle Linux 7.8 with 12.2.0 . Grid infra restart is fine . Oracle binary sw is installed perfectly. But while creating the database with DBCA i am getting an error ORA-12547 TNS lost contact. Even while trying to get into sqlplus ...with /as sysdba the same error comes. What would be the reason

Directory structure is fine but Oracle recommends to create directory structure like /u01/app/12.2.0/grid for grid home. 😊
