I really enjoy the Zen tradition but one thing is clear to me when I listen to these teachings And that is that these teachings do not indicate recognition of the essential point of mind. This of course doesn't mean that A Zen master doesn't realise the nature of mind but perhaps that they just don't speak about it; at least not in public anyway.

What do you mean with the esential point of mind? Awakening, Samadhi or what else? Of course, Zen masters don't talk publicy about PERSONAL experiencies of awakening, that's private practice in Sanzen with him/her.

Its what we call "superior insight" in Tibetan and must be synonymous with "Kensho" in the Zen tradition. But this is debatable.
