❤❤❤❤ I have a special needs son, he is 36 married, 2 children, works, but mama sees him struggling, a teacher laughed at him in the second grade, the entire room laughed, I was watching from the hall, I walked into the room, had him get his things, we homeschooled shortly after that!!!
I would have done the same thing as a mom. How horrible of the teacher to laugh at your son! As a child with severe bilateral hearing loss, it was quite hard in the classroom of hearing students from first grade to high school graduation. I did miss having other students with same hearing and language obstacles that I had. I had adapted pretty well from special ed to mainstream classes in the sixties and seventies.
My late husband passed awsy from a heart attack in March of 2017. I was devastated. It took me years to recover. I finally broke and accepted the Lord into mu heart, my life. Im not looking back. Im looking to the One who saved me. I wouldn't have made it without Him!!! God bless everyone. Have true faith.
I have 2 Autistic sons (21 & 23) I have raised all alone, that still live with me and probably always will. We struggle, but we get by and are happy little family!
I’m a mom of a 27 year old special needs child. He is a blessing to me! His never ending love and acceptance of others and pure heart is a blessing to everyone he meets. He is a believer in Jesus and tells everyone that Jesus loves them and is coming back soon. I homeschooled as well after the public school system told me “they didn’t have time to teach my child.” It was the best decision I ever made!
I got told the exact same thing! Our school here has 25 kids (K-12) and a million dollars a year in funding but they said they didn't have time to teach my kid. Getting him out of there was the best decision for us, too!
I’m so proud of you for homeschooling your boys. I’m a retired teachers aide whom worked with special needs middle schoolers and you did the right thing. My kids are all adults now, but in todays “lovely” world I would be homeschooling every child. If people did that then the schools would need to close down.
I am a recent retired teacher para for high school students and I agree with you 100%. And if any of my children decide to homeschool the grandkids, I’m all in.
I was too. I loved working with them. Nothing against regular ed- Special Ed were my absolute favorites. There's a brilliance they have that is just different from everyone else. It's an intelligence on another level and I can't explain it. I loved those kids. I had one student teachers used to comment "I know he's a handful- I know he can be a lot" I'm like what are you talking about he's my absolute favorite he's not a handful at all. Because he wasn't. He was awesome.
I homeschool my special needs child for the same reason, public school let us down. Best decision I ever made! I love being home with him and learning alongside of him.
Just reading the Word and thought to share this- I had it written in my Word-so here goes: Spiritual warfare is like Jesus coming off His 40 day fast and the devil trying to sign Him up on his food program. The enemy will ALWAYS get in your face at your moment of need. Love ya, Patara- Danielle
He knows EXACTLY where, when, and how to attack us where we're weakest...stay in The Word, and use it against him. Jesus conquers him by quoting scriptures. A lesson for us all. God Bless you and all those fighting the good fight, every day🙏
Nodules aren't necessarily the Big C word! Don't let your mind go there ok? My husband has had them often and they've always worked themselves out. Some quickly, some take time. God's got you any way about it! 🙏
Lifting up your NANA…Lord, I know how much you love this NANA, and I speak a complete healing over her, total restoration and a new found strength and energy for Nana. You above all know her needs and you are supplying all her needs according to your riches in Christ Jesus, Amen🙏🏼✝️♥️ Lord Bless sweet Patara for helping to meet Nana’s needs!💓
Their is nothing wrong with a special needs child, they are still worth loving, they can be a handful.Good for you guys. Much love to you and your family.
Oh I miss my Granny! She lived with us and taught me so much. She waited to see my first child born three days after her 89th birthday. She died on Mother's Day that year. No one could ever replace the love and care she dedicated years to of my progress. Hang on to Nana as long as you have her. Elderly are TREASURES!
Hats off to you. I take care of my special needs sister daily. I credit my Mom ( God rest her soul) for teaching her when the school system failed in the 50s-60s. She is permanently like a 10 year old. I made a promise to keep her out of a home, so far I have been able. I am prepping for my family and sister. She also has physical limitations, but I still garden, mow, can, keep chickens. People never know what goes on in someone else's home or life.
My only child is special needs. He did manage to get his college degree and works as a software engineer now. ❤️ He has his own apartment in another city about an hour from here. Proud mama! I admit it lol!
Love all the new babies! The only problem is that they don't stay babies long enough Please continue praying for my daughter, who got hit head-on while riding her motorcycle on Mother’sDay. She is God's miracle and has a plan for her.
We have a 35yo daughter with a similar disgnosis. She is the sweetest person. She has a beautiful sense of humor. I raised her by myself until she was 28. Best years of our life learning and experiencing the world together. Since then we adopted 3 Girls and I have a spouse. Life is wonderful here on our little acres.
I have 3 sons, and my middle son, who is now 15, has had multiple special needs since birth. We tried using the school system's services for speech therapy in preschool, but they did not give him the help that he needed and deserved. I was told by the director that all kids, whether they have down syndrome or a speech disorder, receive the same services. I knew in that moment that I needed to find private therapy for him, and to homeschool. I've homeschooled all 3 of my kids, and just graduated my oldest. The school did not care about my child, or any of the others. They wanted to slap a label on him that wasn't accurate, put him in a classroom where he wouldn't receive the help he needed, and be done with it.
Every child, every person deserves to be treated with true respect and affection, to be seen for the unique gift they are. No school can do that, even if they wanted to.
I took in foster children and wound up adopting one a son,now i have 4 sons and three that are special needs . Bless you for taking such care of your Patara
My daughter is developmentally disabled due to a severe seizure disorder which presented at age 5. I am thankful every day for the blessing she is to us ❤ God bless you and your family
Where around live Milwaukee county. My grandson close to Superior. I would like to get my own small farm. I also would like to buy directly from farmers not from store getting Bill Hates food
Patara, our new kitten is named, "Boo." She's our little gymnast. Applause on your successfully educating ALL of your children. You're an admirable human mom and critter mom. Thanks for sharing. I'm wishing and praying for the well-being of all your people. God bless us.
My son is 50 now I fought with my son school for years I had one counselor tell me my son wouldn’t be able to do much. I put him in karate and worked with him he’s no lawyer or doctor . But has a great job makes good money and has a good life. Praying for all.🙏🏻🙏🏻
My 64 year old brother had learning disabilities, kind of non-specific, but he struggled with some things, especially Algebra. And he was a little behind socially. Honestly, I find him to still be socially awkward. BUT he has been very successful, is highly valued by his employer, they won’t let him retire, and several years ago developed an Algebra course for a Plumbing and Pipefitting trade school. The approach to schooling in this country is utterly broken, and was never, ever about true learning and bringing out the best in people. It was developed and foisted on the Citizenry to produce factory drones. Since the advent of Compulsory Attendance in public schools the literacy rate went down steadily. Most public schools are little more than very dangerous child care.
I homeschool my son who has a neuromuscular disease ( sma type 2) and we made many financial sacrifices to do that. We live on one income (although currently my husband is actively searching for employment now). I have never felt more rich than the time I spend helping my son with his education, physical and emotional needs. I am blessed daily by him. Stay strong Patara! You are in the right and a blessing to many! 🤗💜
Patara you’re a throw back, back when people were plain spoken and to the point honest. It really is rare these days. The truth hurts but should be welcomed. People are so afraid of upsetting people they have become very restrictive in their language and thinking. I like that you hit people with a dose of reality, its great. It’s who you are and I for one love it.
Love the hustle and grind. My calling is nursing so I live vicariously through Patea. I'm a widow and started over with nothing in 2020. I became debt free yesterday. I worked hard for everything I own. Home, car, investments. Jesus and I did that! My 38 year old daughter is disabled due to a virus she had just before her third birthday. She gets a small disability check and works her tail off at a part-time job helping mentally challenged adults. We all have our challenges.
All three of your sons are amazing. I remember you sitting on your front porch saying, don't send anything, we don't do that and we are fine, when James was sick. It could be any channel, I see it all of the time on YT. If you watch five channels, it's so bad you'll see it in four.
Patara I think you're a awesome woman. And mother. I admire you. I love watching your videos I try not to miss a one. I appreciate you for telling us the truth! Thank you!!!
I worked with kids and adults with different needs for 33 years, very privileged that they allowed me to share in their lives, when I retired a very huge part of my heart is always staying with all of them, they are all so amazing, if the world could be as great as they are what a wonderful world it could be.❤️
I have a special needs son who is now 30. That's why I started my homeschooling journey.Struggling as a single Mom with him gave me the heart to care for others. My husband now, and I have taken in 18 vulnerable and special needs children and 4 adults. We live a blessed life, homesteading with our large family.
Yep. I had one of those grandma's. I have been jerked up off the church bench when I was small and had my drawers pulled down outside on the church porch and a good whacking on my tail for laughing and playing during church with my cousin. We were six and four by the way, but once you see that 'look' and slight head shake by grandma, you knew to straighten up and behave or get your arse tanned maybe with some 'apple tea' (an apple limb) on the walk home! Lord, you make me miss my grandma. Bless your nana and know that you are SO lucky to still have her. Sending love and light from Hancock County your way down south!
I remember this time of the year as a child it was always busy. Then when we could go to sleep it was too hot and the attic fan made them thump, thump, noise with the mosquitoes flying around. Then another day. I miss those days. Prayers for you and your family.
@Mssunshinesue8719. I grew up with the sound of an attic fan at night too. I would be hot but I have such fond memories of my childhood too. I am blessed …
I have my favorite channels to watch but I work so hard in garden and trying to downsize these days it seems the day is over before I get to them. I have 50 years of stuff to go through. I am taking my time. Every box has memories. My children don’t want most of it, old fashioned lol. ❤️
I just adore you. I am not a farmer or have animals like you but I sure do love watching your videos and listening to your education on the life of a multifunctional farm. You are absolutely amazing. God Bless you, your family and YT family.
My grandmother always used to say the best form of revenge was silence. Don’t let the other person know that they actually got to you, which I think it’s at this point has somewhat aggravated you so let it go roll off your shoulder. Enjoy your new little babies and like I’ve said silence is the best revenge cause they could talk all the shit they want about you, but your silence shows you don’t give a shit about them or what they have to say means nothing because they are nothing you are a blessed person. Enjoy your blessings and your homestead content because that’s what we enjoy watching you your babies, your family and even talking about how many cans a week we need to put away. Love you.😊
Special needs mama here too! My daughter is also grown. There were hard, hard years, but she is thriving and we are blessed! Praying for your family, Patara! 🥰
My grandson is a special needs child and he is awesome! His parents take very special care of him so he’s well taken care of. Thank you for sharing! Have a blessed day!
I have a special needs grandson, and he is prayed for constantly, and I believe the Lord is answering prayer!! It is almost a full-time job in itself. God bless the families who go the extra mile to care for our children!!!❤
Special needs moms ROCK! I am the mom of a beautiful 29 year old lady with autism. We struggled with the school district but firmly believe that God guided us and she received services that no one else did. Patara, you are such a blessing to your family and your viewers. I learned long ago that people are going to be people. Just be your own beautiful self ( with a great voice) and let God take care of the rest. ❤
Patara, I have a special needs child and they said this child would never get past the cognitive understanding of a 7 th grader. Well we proved them All wrong, this child is an adult late 20’s and super high functioning and assists in running a business. God bless our special needs people .. gifts straight from heaven ❤ God is good 🙌♥️💯🌹✝️
God bless you patara. My Sarah was also special needs. Trisomy 13. Lost her October 2, 2022 and I still miss her so much. Looking forward to when I can join her. Thank you for sharing about your child. Our children are so precious and they deserve much more than this world can ever give.
Love your channel Patara and love how you keep things REAL! Just got my child’s homeschool books ordered (first time homeschooling 🙏🏻) and got my 5 cans this week! Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us❤
YES PATERA! A good moral compas is why I listen yo YOUR channel daily. You have informative and common sense videos, grounded in our Lord. You've become like family to me even though weve not yet met. Keep serving Him and keep doing you. Blessings ❤
That's outrageous. How cruel.
Praise the Lord for great Momas
Special needs or not home schooling is the way
Cruel people. That teacher set a great example 😢😡
I would have done the same thing as a mom. How horrible of the teacher to laugh at your son! Praise the Lord sister in Christ.
Lord has a special heart for wishes and days we are to, also. Glad you found Him, and bless your days. 🙏🕊️
Big Hugs to you my Sister in Jesus!
Thank you all. I'm grateful.

I taught school in LA county. I would never put a child in public school there now.
Indeed!

You will never regrets time spent with your child and teaching him your morals and what you value !!
Correct.👏👏👏👏👏👏
Our special needs son is one of the main reasons we started homeschooling. And the improvements have been absolutely life changing.

I love this!!! Thank you for sharing.
That's another reason I love you Patara, your honesty. I know it's not in you to lie because Jesus lives in you.
Love seeing the new babies.
Asking for prayers . Im having a lung scan tomorrow for a nodule they found when scanning my kidneys for stones 🙏
Thank you so much ❤
Praying for good news and lasting health🙏✝️
Prayers for a clear scan.❤

Love the updates and seeing those goat babies 😍
Their is nothing wrong with a special needs child, they are still worth loving, they can be a handful.Good for you guys. Much love to you and your family.
God doesn’t make mistakes . : )
I keep asking myself WHY I keep listening to these pod casts......I have my own STUFF 😂😂😮😮I've had ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!
They reason they are special needs is they were sent from the Lord for teaching us special love.
The enemy will always attack when truth is spoken ! FACT !

My nephew is special needs and he is just the biggest blessing to everyone in my family. He routinely puts smiles on all of our faces. ❤️

Yep
My autistic grown daughter is the love of my life! She is not high functioning, but is the sweetest young lady ever! She is the best!
We have a 35yo daughter with a similar disgnosis. She is the sweetest person. She has a beautiful sense of humor. I raised her by myself until she was 28. Hello from my Wisconsin Farm! Moved here from the Chicago area 19 yrs ago and have never looked back.
Nice😊
I'm in Wisconsin too. Beautiful country
Where around live Milwaukee county. My grandson close to Superior. I would like to get my own small farm. I also would like to buy directly from farmers not from store getting Bill Hates food
Welcome to Wisconsin
I use old prescription bottles to dip umbilical cords. Fill 3/4 full . I also put colostrum in ice cube trays and freeze. Each 1 enough for a feeding.
Yes ma’am ❤
Patara, our new kitten is named, "Boo." She's our little gymnast.
Applause on your successfully educating ALL of your children. You're an admirable human mom and critter mom. Thanks for sharing. I'm wishing and praying for the well-being of all your people. God bless us.
We are in the days of "evil being called good and good being called evil". We must use discernment and turn away from evil. Love ya girl!❤
Anyone who knows you knows you don't just "look" around. Geeze, people are rude. I think you're an awesome Mom. Thank you for your time. ❤
Pantera, CALM!! We speak the truth. God is with us!! WE LOVE YOU ❤️

Ma'am, when do you sleep?! You are so full.of life!

You’re a rare blessing in a world of dishonesty, blessings to you and your family Miss Patara.
I totally know exercises for crossing the midline. 🌷 i homeschooled mine also. Theyre all grown now, but we had such agreat time at home.
I just adore you. I am not a farmer or have animals like you but I sure do love watching your videos and listening to your education on the life of a multifunctional farm. You are absolutely amazing. God Bless you, your family and YT family.

Stay fired up Patara❤
Love you.😊
I love that you don't constantly ask us to buy stuff from you!! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts.
Special needs mama here too! My daughter is also grown. There were hard, hard years, but she is thriving and we are blessed! Praying for your family, Patara! 🥰
Continued prayers for Nana.
My grandson is a special needs child and he is awesome! His parents take very special care of him so he’s well taken care of. Thank you for sharing! Have a blessed day!
Greetings from Missouri y'all 👍❤ Finally moved out of Florida!
We did too! Moved up last December.
I live in SW Mo., hope you can handle the winters they aren't too bad.
Welcome to Missouri
What made you move?
The bit dogs bark the loudest! I don’t give money but I try to watch the advertisements. 😊
Say it Patera. We love you. Don’t worry about the cockroaches. Ur fine. Some people don’t know how to live without drama.
I have a special needs grandson, and he is prayed for constantly, and I believe the Lord is answering prayer!! It is almost a full-time job in itself. God bless the families who go the extra mile to care for our children!!!❤
That baby sound will make every mother look like a Meerkat! Yay, my vote was right!!
“ Children are a blessing from The Lord “ ♥️💕♥️
Patara, I have a special needs child and they said this child would never get past the cognitive understanding of a 7 th grader. Well we proved them All wrong, this child is an adult late 20’s and super high functioning and assists in running a business. God bless our special needs people .. gifts straight from heaven ❤ God is good 🙌♥️💯🌹✝️
Beautiful names for all 4
God bless you patara. My Sarah was also special needs. Trisomy 13. Lost her October 2, 2022 and I still miss her so much. Looking forward to when I can join her. Thank you for sharing about your child. Our children are so precious and they deserve much more than this world can ever give.
I am sorry for your loss. ❤

Thank you Patara! Yes, it’s something I have to remind myself of periodically as well.
When people show you who they are, believe them!
Love your channel Patara and love how you keep things REAL! Just got my child’s homeschool books ordered (first time homeschooling 🙏🏻) and got my 5 cans this week! Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us❤
Best decision you could ever make for your children.
God Blees you 🙏
If you have access to a freeze dryer, colostrum processes very well and keeps a long time.
🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗for you. We love you, we understand you and we support you. ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
YES PATERA! A good moral compas is why I listen yo YOUR channel daily. You have informative and common sense videos, grounded in our Lord. You've become like family to me even though weve not yet met. Keep serving Him and keep doing you. Blessings ❤
She does. I don’t agree with everything, but I “sense,” her genuine nature. Sincerity ranks very high in my book! ♥️
Prayer is the best donation anybody can give or receive. It's free for all.
Those babies are so precious!! I ❤ animals! Thanks for posting!!
