One thing about Knockout City is that the developers fully supported allowing players to make their own servers to keep playing, to the point that there is a fully working private server with all cosmetics and level based unlocked available for free. Yea the official servers are dead, but the developers opened the gates to allow dedicated fans to keep it alive for as long as possible.
The Friday the 13th game just makes me sad. The developers wanted to do so much with it, but was screwed over by the legal battle over the series rights.

Good arcade sports like NBA Jam and NFL Blitz are dead because of those morons.
Quick correction on Knockout City: The developers would buy their freedom from EA prior to shutting no services off. The decision to shut off came from the developers. Prior to the end, they even had a TMNT collaboration.
@@BigFresh37 So? It's a free download on PC and it's not like it requires SUPER HYPER ULTRA RTX 69420 to run. Any recent laptop, not even a gaming one, will do.
There's also the fact that it was originally a pay-to-play game ($20, I think), and _then_ went F2P when the devs broke away from EA to self-publish the game.
The funny thing about Jump Force is that it probably didn't get delisted because it was unsuccessful, it actually sold well and was on the top of several sales lists when it released, so it probably got delisted because of copyright issues. My guess is Square Enix decided to pull the plug because they own Dragon Quest and Jump Force actually had a character from a DQ manga that released in the Weekly Shonen Jump
and not only that, it have many problematic licences: Yu gi oh (Konami), Dai (Square Enix), Bleach (Sony and Sega), Jojo Vento Aureo (Capcom) and Hokuto no ken (Sega, Koei) literally told us the fate will have. Even i doubt the C&D cames from Square Enix, my principal suspects are Konami and Sega.
Okay, I think you are a bit confused about copyright. I agree on YuGiOh being owned by Konami and Dragon Quest by Square Enix, but those other franchises aren't owned by those companies. They only made games based on those IP's but that's it, they don't own them or have a say about them. So Sega definitely has no connections to Jump Force. Konami is actually a pretty likely character, but they frequently work together with Shonen Jump to create more and more manga. What makes me believe that Square Enix is the primary suspect is that they haven't worked with Shonen Jump for a long time. However, DQ Adventures of Dai, the series of origin from Dai, has had several games and a new anime adaptation since mid 2010ish. I think Square just allowed Dai to appear in Jump Force as means to advertise those other projects and didn't bother with the copyright renewal because they already succeded in what they wanted to have, that is reminding people DQ Adventures of Dai existed. That is what I believe the reason for Jump Forces shutdown is.
Current voice of Seiya here! Glad to see some representation in the video! Even if it is to say its not available.. lol I had no idea it got delisted, but I played Soldiers Soul a couple years ago on PC and had a good amount of fun with it! P.S. @@kadosho02 I’ve seen clips of it, and it’s really good. As good as the ADV dub. But I haven’t quite watched it beyond the first episode. I’ve seen the Latin American dub with subtitles (which is pretty awesome) and barely remember the DiC version. I’ve mainly stuck with Japanese.
It’s wild how game publishers have created a massive market for Live Service games but are also completely incompetent when it comes to allowing developers actual time and money to develop games with a shelf life of longer than a month.
This is why I will always support physical media because companies keep doing stuff like this. They believe that we should own nothing and be happy with it! I so NOOOOO to that nonsense!

I'm guessing you've never heard of websites like GOG aka Good Old Games which has games that doesn't need servers. A lot of games there can be downloaded and played off line without internet. Of course you need the internet to download the games there first but one you've downloaded them they're playable offline.@@thechugg4372

So about Multiversus. Part of the reason behind the relaunch is because they underestimated the difficulty of releasing characters in a fighting game at the rate they planned. Almost every character was delayed and were broken. Then when season 2 dropped a large part of the season was playing damage control on season 1's issues. They were understaffed and needed to change their approach for the game. As much as the relaunch stings I feel it will be for the better in the long run.
@@SawGudman A lot of signs at the time pointed to the game being way more successful than they planned and thus had to rework their game plan. They actually started hiring alot of people shortly after the game launched. Again with how buggy alot of little things were (alot of little things that add up) and the rate they seemed to wanted to push out characters they probably underestimated the scale of the task they had. I think the relaunch was for the best and people being upset that paid for the $70 packages and shit are overrating when the devs have made it clear the game is relaunching, not being delisted. Honestly im expecting a proper physical release of the game
There's also a rumor that WB forced them to work on a Harry Potter rep due to the success of Hogwarts Legacy but they couldn't get it done in time leading to a bigger season 2 drought.
The Friday the 13th game is so sad to me. I remember being there at the beginning when it first came out with its horrible networking issues, and its apology free dlc afterwards. I have so many fond memories playing the game, I've met some really chill and nice people. The whole game felt like a huge love letter to horror fans, there was countless amounts of references to the older films. Then the rights to the franchise got put into a really unfortunate position, and the devs couldn't do anything because of it. There were updates and patches all the time keeping the community alive, then it all just stops one day.
Oh yeah, fun fact about Afro Samurai. On the PS4, it is impossible to launch the game even if you own it. A friend has the game on his account, but it has a lock icon no matter how much you try to restore licenses. It's the only PS4 game I've heard of doing that. Even P.T. is still playable for owners, but not one person has been able to play Afro Samurai since 2016.
Had that happen before but I was ps plus games. The moment I stopped paying cos I wasn't playing online enough to justify the cost, they locked me out of playing mgs 5. Good thing jailbreaking a ps4 is easier than any other PlayStation or else I'd have lost permanent access.
Multiverse got delisted so it could be reworked. My understanding is that the didn’t expect the game to make as big of a splash as it did, and wanted to expand their servers to be able to support a larger player base
Crazy we basically got 3 back to back turtles games that all wound up being bad to mediocre within roughly the same timeframe. It's a good thing we got Shredders Revenge cause I the series really needed a win.
PowerPuff Girls: Defenders of Townsville was so obscure, I didn't even know it even existed until some UA-camr (Alpha Jay) talked about it. It was a digital-only PC commercial failure that got buried in time, Hence why its one of those games _nobody_ talks about on Twitter/UA-cam. These commercial failures go either two ways, you become a cult classic, or you get buried in time where nobody remembers you anymore. Furthermore, Defenders of Townsville had no console ports whatsoever, further limiting its visibility.
Little thing to note regarding Knockout City The games developer, Velan Studios, would self publish the game beginning with when the game went free to play during its 6th season back in summer 2022, so EA stopped being involved with the game around that time. And while the game’s servers have been shut down since June of this year, the devs went ahead and released a private build exclusive for pc users in case they’d like to host their own local servers or join folks on said servers. And for a couple months now since the summer, there’s been an active community playing the private server builds, even slowly learning how to mod parts of the game.
Being a brazilian that grew up with Saint Seiya, i've had A BLAST with Soldier's Soul despite it's jankiness 😂 The shit-ton of characters include even some deep cuts like the anime exclusive Asgard Saga characters, being a fan you can clearly see that Dimps put a lot of love in the project. The game was also fully localized in portuguese with mostly of the original brazilian dub cast and as you said: here in latin america Saint Seiya always was and will be THE HOTTEST SHIT! so playing hearing the og brazilian voices was really special
There is even a mod that changes the music back to the original series, there is nothing quite like hearing the narrator talking about the story while the recap music plays, it may be janky, but nothing beats the care that they put on the characters and getting the right translation and dubbing.
Saint Seyia is really solid for the most part, I felt that it could have gotten more recognition in North America if it was given the same localization treatment that DBZ had. What sucks is that it was released on Netflix subbed and with a serviceable English Dub only for it to vanish. It almost feels like this series is just cursed in that area.
I remember it being a huge thing in Mexico but it also vanished after a while. I always missed Seyia but I grew out of most anime I watched as a kid because it actually didn't age that well and most of the things I liked back then doesn't hold up today.
I dont think companies (especially at the time 90/early 2000s) would do a good job adapting the anime.Seen what they did with dbz for example changing the OST and the tone also censorship would make the anime look so bad.
Honestly this wasn’t the most exciting video to see after he took such a lot of time off, but the more i think on it, it is a pretty terrifying concept that things will decay.
I actually own 2 games that got delisted from Steam; Midnight Club 2, the one PS2 game that got me into racing games, I still play it from time to time, and The Legend of Korra, okay game, I was a big fan of the tv show at that time, not a lot of games, but it's weird it happened twice 🤔
I own Legend of Korra by proxy. My wife bought it for PS4 (long before we met) and so because of that, I'll still get to play it. She said it was painfully average.

What award show nominated multiverse? That shit was shoved all over and lined to the T with transactions for weird shit. These people are trying to buy awards now! Holy shit.

They'll happily give an open beta an award for best fighting game! [Sarcasm ends] Seriously, though... I didn't think the Game Awards were that dense to give what was essentially an *OPEN* *BETA* an award... oh because it pleased a corporation.
I honestly loved MultiVersus when it was around, aside from the consistent content drops you had to drop real money to get, the gameplay is really fun and for someone like myself who played a lot of Smash Bros over the years, It felt like coming back to an old friend, but with a twist of being built around tag team battles which honestly felt really refreshing for a Platform Fighter, let alone a fighting game, the reason why Player First Games closed MV's doors is due to them dropping all their content at once and spending way too much time with content droughts which killed their playerbase, the development of what they do is complete chaos that it did cost them some huge attention during the game awards where they dropped out of revealing the Joker for their game, they took advantage of the fact MultiVersus is in beta and decided to pull a hail mary for bringing in an actual launch with more content, man I hope they pull through with it.
One of them was Battleborn which I spent 60 bucks on. The worst part about it besides the wasted potential was that it’s theme song “Countdown” by Deltron 3030 remains unreleased.
Thanks for reminding me... Man... Battleborn was such a fun game that god screwed over by being unfairly compared to Overwatch and then the devs desperately trying to get that PvP crowd when most people seemed to enjoy the PvE content a lot more.
Battleborn and Paladins got eaten alive by the Overwatch wave.. I loved the PVE aspect of Battleborn and hated how cheap swapping characters in OW if you had a bad match up was a frequent for most players
@@grammysworld5449 However Overwatch had all the hype, it was the hottest product of the time, and the one everyone wanted, Battleborn would have been better off as it’s own thing, but god old Randy Pitchfork wanted it to compete with Overwatch. It never stood a chance
I loved Multiversus when it came out and played it a lot. Then they greatly increased the amount of XP needed for leveling up characters and there was a big content drought. They completely killed reasons for playing and now that they've prevented people from playing it, theyve lost all good will they earned
Both Saint Seiya games came out physically on Brazil, and Souldiers's Soul was actually fully localized with voice acting, with the actual cast of the show! It was a treat, even though the game was not that great
The ultimate delisted game for me is Big Fat Awesome House Party, a free-to-play browser-based game based on Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, and it originally launched in 2006 and was supposed to last for 1 year, but due to its success and popularity, it lasted until 2009! There’s not a lot of gameplay footage out there, but there is a dedicated fandom wiki page for it that has a lot of info and details about the game.
I think it’s more that some companies still lack any sense to effectively make piracy more inconvenient by virtue of making the legally paid options convenient to own and buy. Or like WB? Sabotage themselves for whatever reason. Zaslav isn’t really special in this regard since their corporate culture has always been idiotic.
But only those people who have never actually created anything of value. Generally the same people who cry about copyright and licensing, IF they actually had the creativity to create something they could sell for money would be going after any and every single possible penny they could get for it. Although it will ALWAYS be hilarious that liars actually exist and pretend that IF they had that level of creativity they would totes give it away for free and not look to get every penny for it. Its even funnier than the minimum wage workers, who think that they should decide when someone has earned enough money for something someone a person with talent and creativity created, because they want it so well they shouldn't have to actually pay money for it
I don't even play live service games anymore. No point in getting invested in something that's gone in less than a year. They trained the market to not care about these games.
I played in all the alphas and betas in MultiVersus and I was super excited about it, but the servers were so rough and laggy that it was hard to even play it at all. I wanted to put time into it, but it just wasn't fun to teleport around the screen against your will and then die instantly.
I really adore TMNT Out of the Shadows. You have to grind to unlock all the Turtle's moves, but it is the closest we've had in game form to the original film, and its actually a decent challenge. I think it was just cool to hate on it.
I agree, the devs put a lot into it especially for being a budget title. Everyone tried to play it like Arkham (including me) but once I hit the training mode I realized it has its own gameplay style it felt much better. Also you could play as 4 turtles compared to 1 Batman.
I loved Friday the 13th, after hearing about it getting delisted, I was worried about having to grind to get the other options I missed, BUT they updated it to give everyone level 150. Sad to hear that online is gonna be gone next year, meaning stuck with being Jason and hunting offline bots and you won’t be able to experience being a counselor again, but at least it was fun while it lasted.
That game was so fucking fun. I always loved how the counselors could hear Jason's voice chat whenever he was within a certain distance of you. I used to troll my friends in our private matches when I was Jason, I would play hilariously obnoxious country music in the mic to grate on them and mess up their concentration. Good fuckin times.
dont joke about the pinkertons bruh couple years back some dude got mailed some trading cards that werent technically out yet by accident and the company sent literal modern day pinkertons to their door lol
Megaman X Dive is a mobile live service gacha game. Recently they released a version that has all the content that was released for the game and is offline only. Really wish more games would take this approach instead of letting their game die and then burying it.
Oh neat I'm in this video! Thanks for shouting out Fuser! It's really a great game and I heavily recommend everyone to try it out at least once. Especially with the custom songs, it can get absolutely wild.
This is 1 reason why I find it hard for games to go full digital. Because when a game is delisted it sucks. For years I wanted to have Deadpool but never had the money. When I did it was delisted. I got lucky when Gamestop had a free one in a box they had "Free" I also took a bunch of the games that was there even if I had no plan of playing them. I did enjoy Gundam Evolution on ps4, but when I played it was a pain due to how slow it loaded on ps4 while ps5 and pc loaded faster, which means picking a Gundam that's going to get bulled. It was better to play with friends than random especially if you don't like talking to random you just met and have no plan to befriend them. Jump Force had hype. And that hype quickly died when it show how lifeless and bs the game was.
I actually really liked the voltron game. My cuz and I had fun running through it. Also hearing Peter Cullen when you pause and unpause the game acting like a commercial break was awesome. Also anyone else notice powerpuff girl eye lasers in the clip sounds like a Star Wars blaster? Also I was sad to find out about gundum closing. I just found out about it around middle of this year and loved it. Then month later after showing my cuz he tells me they announced it’s shutting down few days after I just showed him it.
We've been craving a good Saint Seiya game since the ps2 era, so when Soldier's soul came out in Latin America and it included the original latin voicecast from the 90s, it was a no brainer, an instant buy no matter how jank it was. On a related note, this is the last voiceover work that the latin actor for Seiya did before he passed away, so its cool and a bit sad that this game is his legacy.

@@KnightGamer724 Don't count it, we never got a proper software based jailbreak for the 360. But there are ways to workaround this. I looked up online to buy it from a guy who sells pre-RGH'd consoles with a custom dashboard (Aurora) and with a hard drive size of your choice. So all I had to do was install the games myself. He also made temps way cooler, somehow, definitely knows what he is doing. Sure it costs a bit more than getting a regular 360 these days and I know it sucks for those who already own one but I still think it's worth it. Besides the 360 exclusives, the console got some PS2 games in HD that never released on the PS3 in its early days, it's almost like exclusive enhanced ports like Just Cause or Burnout Revenge. Not to mention, multiplat games run and look better here... and they take way less storage because they had to fit in an 8GB DVD (with some exceptions that came in multiple discs).
The Indie Store going on 360 is so sad man. Classics like Castleminer Z with avatars and wild costumes will be dearly missed by my nostalgia blind mind. I remember being Isaac Clarke as a child, running through fields of zombies with a ninja, pirate, Deadpool and some weird clown guy as a red dragon burned us all alive and that specific memory is impossible to replicate due to its circumstances. The avatar themed games were absolute bangers as a kid man.
TMNT Out of shadows was actually a decent game, it copy the Batman formula of counter, it had special moves, each turtle was different, it had rpg elements so you could upgrade skills, buy more moves and abilities, it had super moves, special coop moves, taunting the enemy, it had training, arcade mode, survival, story, 2 to 4players coop local n online, i mean it had a lot of good stuff, fuser was one of the best mixers rythym music games i've played it was super fun, same with jump force it was very fun n different in many ways compared to the jstars ds n vs+, it looks like only because they were delisted its because they were bad, no, its because the contract or license to sell the game expired and companies dont wanna renew anymore. Saint seiya Soldier soul is the best Saint seiya there is at the moment.
I didn't even know this game got delisted. I'm just glad I can still play it on my Xbox because I bought it when it first came out!! I wish I could say the same for one of my favorite open world, racing games, the crew, but unfortunately, you took it away from even the owners ?!?!? Looks like they won't be getting more of my money !
A definite tangent, but talking about castle crashers reminded me of getting the game hour run and finishing it with a random dude on Xbox live in one marathon session. I just had a moment of extreme nostalgia.
I don't know if you've mentioned these but back on DS I had this digital side-scrolling kung-fu game where you took pictures of your face for the characters, and for the Wii I had this trippy, artsy game where you swung around like that kiwi game. Also obviously the pushmo series. Although maybe that stuff is too old or random lol
Something to note is that in Latin America (or at least the Spanish speaking parts of Latin America" Saint Seiya) was also called Knights of the Zodiac (Caballeros del Zodiaco). I think that Soldier's Soul is alright, has it's share of interesting things. Has the same issue as the Naruto games in that when you play the story mode you are subjected to like 15 mins of story for a 2 minute fight, at maximum. However the most interesting part is that the game had a Latin American dub, so we got the same voice actors that did the anime dub (or at least most of them, haven't checked) something that was pretty big, specially considering that not even DBZ games get that treatment
@thanos_dawn9189 to me if I can put a disc in or give a disc to someone and it works then to me that's physical. There's a lot of delisted games that are now only on physical (50 cent blood in the sand, Godzilla, jurrassic park the game, etc) that I can purchase or lend to a friend so they can play it on their console. I know digital is abundant and even though I don't have a steam account I know its all digital but I'm referring to the former
@thanos_dawn9189 do you have any examples of console games on disc that won't work if I put the game in aside from multi-player only games that were shutdown years ago like Shadowrun, evolve etc?
@@Unknown_Genius Only if you've bought that game previously can you re-download it. There are still delisted games which nobody can download, PT for example, the price for that on a PS4 is obscene going upwards of nearly $1000 alone.
The offline games are still playable and downloadable, assuming you bought them before the delisting. I kinda blame youtubers for this. They make it look like that once a delisting or store front closure happens, you lose your games which is utter nonsense. TMNT and PPG are fully playable for example and your purchases on the 360 marketplace will still be downloadable, it's the store that will close, not the servers. Now the online games like Multiversus or Evolve... yeah. Unless some talented people can emulate the online servers, they're gone forever.
The Saint Seiya game on steam was a lot of fun, I played it with friends over Parsec we found it surprisingly complex for what just seems like the usual anime arena fighters, where you could juggle into extended combos and we found a lot more depth it was a blast.

I just brought two 3DS games tonight. It made me realized that when future e-shops closes down, we will not have any way outside of piracy to play most newer games. Because games gets released broken on discs, not all the game is on the disc and if a later update happen you will not get the option of buying a disc version of that with it on. You might be able to rely on memory cards, but if they break, you will loose a lot of games. We are pretty much buying permission to play a game, that can be taken from us at any point in time, without getting refunded for our loss. It is kind of creepy.
Thankfully people back up Nintendo's libraries immediately as they drop, so not all hope is lost there. We can continue to enjoy Sora in smash bros as long as emulation exists.
In the future, the only market game developers will have to sell their video games as two dumb children that have money that are not yet privy to what's really going on?? For all of us, other gamers, piracy will be the way
Because of how Ubisoft did us earlier this year by not only the listing one of my favorite games that I had purchased five times!!!! But by also taking it away from people who owned it, whether you owned it physically, or whether you owned it digitally, now you can no longer play it at all!!!!! I will never purchase another game from Ubisoft and any other game developers that do shit like this, you will be added to this list!
At a party I met one of the devs randomly for multiversus. We didn't talk much but basically he was explaining that the whole reason they did what they did was because they just wanted to make it better. I know it sucks to wait but can we appreciate the passion and care. So many people complain about games that were rushed nowadays.
If that is the case (And Warner Brothers can remain stable under Zazlav for a hot minute...) then I genuinely hope that their actions haven't created too much antipathy towards it, and that it can get a fair chance once it returns. There is a more saturated fighting market right now with Tekken, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter and Nickelodon 2... but then again maybe Nick 2 is the only relevant actor here, if platform fighters audiences don't overlap too much with traditional fighters.
Remember when Austin was discussing Nick All Star Brawl 1 in his worst games of 2021 video and he mentioned that Multiversus had Voice acting right out of the gate, saying that the game automatically wins and was the better of the two? Now it's 2023 and Nick All Star Brawl is getting a sequel while the Open Beta for Multiversus is closed.

Wolfenstien 09's copyright is now fully under Microsoft & they've seen pretty keen on re-releasing old idxRaven Software games all the way up to Quake 4 so far so there's hope it gets a re-release now.
Massive Saint Seiya fan here from Latin America, Soldier Soul's alright it's neat in the sense that it takes you through the whole original run of the anime plus some OVAS, it's has TONS of skins for the main characters and the Gold Saints, and actually it was lovely to have the original Latam cast, for the most part, reprise their roles in the localization. Gameplay wise is fine, but multiplayer was always borderline impossible.
The Saint Seiya game actually has a physical North American copy. It’s just that they catered to the Spanish since it’s popular. The cover’s title is called “los caballeros del zodiaco Alma De Soldados” rated T for Teen and has English subtitles
Careful there, Austin. There's a shady Polish channel called CD-Action that mines these videos for content, only showing like 5 or 7 games you can't play per video.
Surprised we didn't see Vicious Circle on here. Peaked around 200 players, thousands of free copies distributed, taken off after 1 or 2 weeks. It was a total shitshow.
I think artificial scarcity is one of the most evil things there is. The fact that we allow our own creations to just become nonexistent/unobtainable again is disgusting. The constant media censorship and product discontinuation in our society makes my blood boil
If you ever get to a part three, then Shin Megami Tensei deserves to be on that list. While this has had numerous Japanese only rereleases since its original SFC release, the only English language release of this game was for mobile phones, that were delisted by Atlus a short time after.
Really feel like its story content screws it over, since the main character is basically a fictional supernatural equivalent of the Columbine shooters. Where said potential school shooter has to prevent the consequences of his crime from becoming far too dire, since he inspired copycats (demons) in the same school. Or has a change of heart and prevents the other shooter from killing people. Sounds like the same reason Battle Royale never got an American remake.
The original 4 Swords remake was actually on the DSI as well! I loved the game a bunch, and it was a blast even when I had to always play alone. Also I’m still going to mention the Infinity Blade series, which only has a book series and a Fortnite item as the last relics of its existence, the whole series was absolutely amazing and pushed the Mobile game market.
You do realize that a game being delisted from steam doesn't mean you can't play it in your library right? Also, fuser required that you BUY every single song.
I'm probably one of a handful of people who absolutely love TMNT: Out Of The Shadows. I know the game is deeply flawed, but the combat mechanics are deep and learning each how to play with each turtle is extremely rewarding. I'm actually in the top 10 or 20 in the leaderboards for almost all of the challenge stages. I love the turtle designs as well. Oh! And the soundtrack is brilliant.
Me, casually watching the video, when Austin mentions Eyeshield 21 and I suddenly go feral over the fact that this series needs a reprint of the manga and a new anime.
aaa missed opportunity with rocksmith 2014! got delisted some days ago, the dlc are slowly being delisted after reaching 10 years of being out, so even though you can't buy the base game anymore, it won't be *fully* delisted until like 2029 or something 💀
Tbf i always wondered how they even could sell that digitally considering the physical version came with a cable for your guitar that you needed to play it. Seemed like a scam to me.
I didnt start watching the original “Saint Seiya” until I was about 19 or 20 years old but I used to watch “Knights of the Zodiac” on Cartoon Network when I was a kid. I loved KOTZ so much and would try to talk about it to my friends but literally no one I knew watched it and/or never even heard of it. To this day(im 27 now) I think I’ve only met 1 other person that watched “Saint Seiya” and even they had no clue what “Knights of the Zodiac” was lmao.
Thats why i like how steam lets you keep your own game. Even if its delisted. Now if the server goes down not to much an issue. Someone will make a private server. Not every game but the most played ones at least.
Longtime Saint Seiya fan here, Soldiers Soul is jank but actually really fun especially with the huge roster and stage variety. Crazy to see another person in North America acknowledge the franchise
This has been a favorite of mine for decades. I grew up with a VHS copy taped from a TV broadcast. Recording didn’t start till just before Dorothy finds the yellow brick road, so I didn’t get the full story till I grabbed the DVD as an adult.
There's actually a 3rd saint seiya game in the seventh generation of consoles, tough it was exclusive to ps3, not even a pc release. It's called saint seiya sanctuary battle, it's a musou, like dynasty warriors, it's very fun and I personally much prefer it over the other 2 arena fighters. They are all very junky, but I fell like sanctuary battle was a bit less junky, also the 2 arena fighter had a lot of fan service, but their quality was very low. Sanctuary battle I think was never even released in North America, only Japan, Europe and South America, maybe the whole Latino America? I'm not sure, I only know that it was not only released here in Brazil, but also got a translation to Brazilian Portuguese (just text, no dubbing), which at the time was not common for games yet. There's actually a pretty funny story about the last game, soldier's soul, that actually got a Brazilian Portuguese dub, with the original voice actors even. The guy that dubs dragon shiryu here in Brazil also dubs kakashi (from naruto) and at the same time soldier's soul was being made naruto storm 4 was in production, which also got a pt-br dub. So the voice actor had to choose between which game to work, looks like it wouldn't be possible to work on both for time, so in the end he choose saint seiya soldier's soul, which may sound crazy to a lot people since naruto is much bigger, but here in Brazil saint seiya has a pretty big reputation.
worth mentioning that netflix just renewed the stranger things shop items for both dbd and fortnite. they were previously removed due to the licenses they gave these devs expiring

Quick correction on Knockout City: The developers would buy their freedom from EA prior to shutting no services off. The decision to shut off came from the developers. Prior to the end, they even had a TMNT collaboration.

Damn, I would've tried the game if I had known that they were no longer owned by EA.
The game also didn't get delisted in Japan, so it's something outside the Japanese side of things that caused it.

Should of added more stages over characters they was not even 10 in the whole game did'nt help either.
It should actually be coming out around the same time as Nick All Star Brawl 2's dlc early next year.
Right. I still have faith in it. If Brawlhalla can last 8 years still going strong, so can multiversus. It was a beta that's all there is to it

Shredder's Revenge is seriously goated.
I thought those games were fine
PowerPuff Girls: Defenders of Townsville was so obscure, I didn't even know it even existed until some UA-camr (Alpha Jay) talked about it. It was a digital-only PC commercial failure that got buried in time, Hence why its one of those games _nobody_ talks about on Twitter/UA-cam. These commercial failures go either two ways, you become a cult classic, or you get buried in time where nobody remembers you anymore. Furthermore, Defenders of Townsville had no console ports whatsoever, further limiting its visibility.
Little thing to note regarding Knockout City
The games developer, Velan Studios, would self publish the game beginning with when the game went free to play during its 6th season back in summer 2022, so EA stopped being involved with the game around that time.

I don't think he did his research good for this game.
So it appears the lesson of the day is that we do not like copyright and licensing laws.
This is a great reminder as to not blame myself for not playing many games these days... I prefer owning what I purchase.

I agree, the devs put a lot into it especially for being a budget title. Everyone tried to play it like Arkham (including me) but once I hit the training mode I realized it has its own gameplay style it felt much better. Also you could play as 4 turtles compared to 1 Batman.

Yeah I was really annoyed when I found out Alan Wake 2 was going to be digital only, maybe it'll get a physical release later though.
Whoa. Great memories
What was Saint Seiya about? I never had a PS1, 2, 3, 4 or 5. Only Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo, Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
@@richdelaney9500 As you can see in the vid, it was an anime about teenagers wearing armors based on constellations (or cloths, as they call them in the original japan dub) beating the shit out of each other. It's a blast
@@lucianopereira8798 I actually started reading the comments, before I got that far into the video. My ADHD brain can go all over the place before I finish up a task
Well Multiversus is being return on May 28th
Luckily, PS3 and Wii U (Wii as well for thay matter) have a nice mod scene. 360 is there, but modding is a bit more involved.
Gosh, I hope the 360 gets easier mods soon. I'd love to crack mine open, but I don't want to risk messing up the soldering.
@@KnightGamer724 I agree. Though, It's fairly straightforward, if you can solder and have a good iron. Especially with videos to guide you. Just a lot more complicated than popping in a usb stick.
You can literally download anything you own delisted or not. Its only imbeciles who think they need to worship their machines. If something you own is delisted you can still download it whenever. The delisting just prevents new purchases.
Unlike the 360 where anything you bought with MS points was taken from you forever, which is anything before 2012 and they know about it and their support says they have no intention of doing anything about it.
Also "Preservation" LMFAO its hilarious when people try to pretend that preservation means having access to something whenever they feel entitled to it purchased it or not...When in reality Preservation is publishers preserving the master code for games
A lot of this just makes me treasure physically games as we enter what seems to be the digital age.
This is why I'm moving back to all physically media. I don't like the idea of spending money on something a company can pull at anytime.
The Saint Seiya game on steam was a lot of fun, I played it with friends over Parsec we found it surprisingly complex for what just seems like the usual anime arena fighters, where you could juggle into extended combos and we found a lot more depth it was a blast.
Welp, that was a fun way to find out my copy of Killer Queen Black is bricked.
You can still play it, but it’s just not gonna be the sams
The biggest travesty for me when it comes to unlisted games are the two Cybertron games. I miss them so much
Which 2?
@@bcks0071 War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron
@@Reaper_ginger both can be got on a ps3 disc.
I never got around to getting Fall of Cybertron on ps4 though. :(
@@bcks0071 I know they can still be found but you gotta dig deep at game stores. I used to own the War for Cybertron for ps3 on disc but it got donated at some point.
The craziest thing is that Atlus cell phone games, things that for all accounts were dead and made for really old cell phones, are being necromanced back to life in Japan on the Switch via G-Mode Archives.
I’ll say this , this channel has been hitting home runs repeatedly for topics that I’m hooked on .
13:24 Tenchi is often forgotten, so it’s nice to see it referenced by one of my favorite content creators :D
It will never not be insane to me that masses of people online tell Nintendo and other companies exactly what we would like from them and how much money we'd drop on it and they simple say, "no thank you."
Because you keep buying crap. Money talks.
@@x__thesickest6388 Like Pokémon for example. Haven’t really considered buying a Switch due to the games being incomplete messes which is a shame because I like Gen 9’s Pokémon. I just don’t have any use for a Nintendo system beyond Pokémon and a couple other games.
Gundam Evolution region lock is crazy Whats crazier is we never got like a spirtual successor of War for Cybertron but with that Gundam Mecha Charm
Jump Force had so much potential, but much like Gotham Knights it failed to deliver
@TheLarkaanimationJump Force was definitely NOT developed during covid, it just sucks for the same reason every other Shonen game sucks, it's made for both children and rabid anime fans that will buy any anime released if the character they like is in it.
@@FeiFongWang I recommend checking out Dragonball FighterZ if you want a solid fighting game that also happens to be a Shonen IP.
@TheLarkaanimationjump force came out in early 2019, COVID didn’t effect it
There’s also attack on titan the video game on the 3ds Eshop. It came out for literally one month in the states, and then taken off the eshop that same year. The crazy part is that it was still sold in Japan and Europe eshops
Did this man just insult asta 🤯
For all of us, other gamers, piracy will be the way
Congrats on the marriage.
Asta hate will not be tolerated smh
Oh man the pilot candidate reference. It's like watching a train wreck.
At a party I met one of the devs randomly for multiversus. We didn't talk much but basically he was explaining that the whole reason they did what they did was because they just wanted to make it better. I know it sucks to wait but can we appreciate the passion and care. So many people complain about games that were rushed nowadays.
And it'll be back within a few months. Hopefully it'll be worth the wait
Can people not read? It said on the game screen that it was a beta. Of course it was going to disappear. The game wasn't finished yet
Remember when Austin was discussing Nick All Star Brawl 1 in his worst games of 2021 video and he mentioned that Multiversus had Voice acting right out of the gate, saying that the game automatically wins and was the better of the two? Now it's 2023 and Nick All Star Brawl is getting a sequel while the Open Beta for Multiversus is closed.
another great game thats been delisted due...
Transformers Devastation, developed by Platinum Games. great gameplay.. cant buy it anymore since maybe 2016. i refuse to delete it
What platform is it on? If its 360, wii or ps3 you can submit it to vimms lair to be preserved!

Pour one out for Knockout City and Rumbleverse - great games, gone way too soon
Rumble-verse an Knockout City could not survive so am very happy Ninjala is keeping on and has an ongoing 91 EP anime
I am losing faith in humanity seeing that your channel does not have millions of subs. You always put together top tier videos
Oh! And the soundtrack is brilliant.
trash microsoft & xbox & trash game pass the reason why the gaming industry in dying
fable 3 pisses me off because i had a physical copy that i suddenly couldn't install after i had to reinstall my whole computer
Multiversus is coming back in April
One honorable mention you can give is Halo: Spartan Assault for the 360. Not a great Halo game by any means but it was fun for what it was.
Longtime Saint Seiya fan here, Soldiers Soul is jank but actually really fun especially with the huge roster and stage variety. Crazy to see another person in North America acknowledge the franchise
god, i wished your entry for Knockout City aged as bad as the one for Multiversus
