Gotta show some love to Ryan after hearing you say the Northport broke your sales records, that's an awesome accomplishment for him as a designer and I'd say absolute proof of his talents. Great job Ryan!
I had my first experience with Islander quite recently and I was amazed. The quality is absolutely top-tier. I love that there is a brand that is affordable and offers great specs and original design.
Congratulations, Marc, with the success of Islander Watches. Not only have you established your watches solid in the industry, but you continue your legacy for undisputed highest level of professionalism, integrity, and best customer service. I truly congratulate you and your team on all these achievements. Personally, I own 4 Islanders, all of them are fantastic; and I have purchased a couple of other pieces, including a Zodiac Super Sea Wolf, which I adore. Wishing you continued success always.
I cannot believe the value and attention to detail you're providing. Great videos. Quickly becoming my favorite microbrand to keep an eye on! Your Greenport 39mm and the original 38mm automatic diver are both on my wishlist.
I bet your smaller proportioned (non-western market) patrons would be thrilled if you made the Northport wave dial available on one of the 38mm models... I love my 38mm islander, have been wearing it almost daily for 2 years now, wonderful value for money... Thank you Marc!
I''ve got an ISL-01 that I bought just before you discod them, along with an ISL-188, and ISL-14, and I just picked up an ISL-185 previously loved on eBay for an absolute song that will be here tomorrow. Love your products, Marc.
So far, I think the Port Jefferson is my favorite. I have that watch in black and Caribbean green and love the size and how thin they are. My Northport is probably my second favorite Islander. I love what you are doing and look forward to what you come up with in the future.
My wife and I own 14 of the watches shown here (plus a bunch not shown). Known as the King of the Budget Watch to my watch nerd buddies with expensive watches. Most of them also own an Islander or two.
If you asked me if I could only own watches from one brand under $1000 I think I'd say Islander. I own two (the blue Melville and the linen dial Brookville) and they are my favorite watches. Next, i really want a waffle dial gmt and a Northport
Islander is killing it! I bought two and they exceeded my expectations! Not sure why anyone would buy an underspeced seiko when they can get all the upgrades at a lower price with a Islander. I have ditched seiko and grand seiko and have got on the Islander train 😊
I’d love to challenge Islander/Marc to engineer thinner timepieces. Few watch brands can make divers at under 12 mm thick and still maintain 150-300 m water resistance. When I see it happen, I can’t help but think it’s an amazing feat of engineering. Plus I think it really elevates the look of the piece. Islander’s designs have become more and more beautiful and upscale over the years. I think making them under 12mm thick, esp the divers, would be the cherry on top. 🙌🏽
That's a big line up; I would suggest reducing their dimensions in thickness and lug-to-lug, for more elegant watches. The Miyota movements might be key
Would love to see the coastal colorway trend continue with the Northport. I think a tan dial with a sand-rippled texture would be out of this world, and I would be first in line to buy it!
You may have noticed this but I only discovered it by accident a few days ago. If on the ST1901 you start the chronograph, then press the reset button, nothing seems to happen. However, when you press the stop button, the chronograph hand resets to 12. Probably just a bit of useless trivia.
This is a great watch, it is comfortable and very accurate. The original Seiko was a very good watch, this watch has saphire glass, saphire bezel, it is hackable, 200 m , NH35. In I think it is better than the Seiko.
YOWSA! You are getting dangerous for AliExpress, and that means something! I commented before, how affordable your store is, and the Islanders are absolutely worth looking at :)
I have Northport Seafoam Green and Ocean Blue plus Amerigraph with Brushed Silver Dial. Thanks for your work guys!!! Just add a strap choice instead of bracelets. I hate breacelets) Always have to find somebody to buy it
I have the SKX lookalike that you showed first. However, I think it would be improved if the seconds hand had some orange or white paint on the tip to make it better to see in certain light conditions. It's my everyday work watch; switched out on a James Bond heavy nato strap. Your Orange Monster is my everything else watch.👍
Will there ever be a solar powered Islander? Or is it too complicated, logistically and financially? Meanwhile I’ll dream of one 💤😉. Your (and the team’s) contribution to the watch industry and for us enthusiasts is huge. Thanks a bunch 🙏🏻
Only one thing is missing, a 38mm blue aventurine dial Brookville. Oh I kid, you could do complications, Swiss mechanical chronographs, hopefully a unique integrated bracelet landmine I mean watch, something in bronze, enamel dials, oil-filled superdiver, so many places to go with this. That's what videos like this leave me thinking, what's next?
I am so surprised that not many watchmakers use the 12-hour bezel feature. It’s a no-brainer. It gives a utility boost to the watch and in today’s global world, being able to track a second time zone in a glance is a crucial feature for many, including myself. I have a couple of question though about the new mechanical chronograph - 1) since it’s hand-wound and not automatic, how long can it run on a single wind? 2) what is the stated accuracy of this movement 3) I read somewhere that this movement is hard to wind and there is kind of backspring movement of the crown, which can lead to damage of the gears if pushed to hard. Is it something to worry about?
I still love my day T Mitchell, I wear it every single night at work on rubber straps with metal end links filling in the lugs. It's not a perfect fit because it's not made for the watch but I like the way it makes the watch wear. By the way, do you think you'd offer an accessory like those on Amazon where it's like a metal endlink that fits over your cloth leather and rubber straps to make it look like you have a fitted metal endlink on your straps? I love the way it fills out the gaps in the lugs.
I love the build quality of your Watchs. Could consider putting the Islander Baiting Hollow Steel Skeleton Dive Watch #ISL-166 on sale? A price in the neighborhood of $250 - $ 260 would sweet point.
Of what I've seen (in my humble opinion), the Islander line launched as kind of a Seiko SKX alternative, taking advantage of Seiko's mistake(good move). Now, The Islander has become through time less a Seiko replacement to a type of Seiko Mod/Homage like ZJani, Nakomi, etc ( and I mean that in a good way). The Islander has evolved into a cheaper and better Seiko homage, Since Seiko has lost their minds at the moment. I'll admit, Ihaven't considered an Islander.. Until lately. They're actually seeming pretty cool. Especially the full lume dialed ones.
So I know Mark has nothing against quartz but prefers a good automatic however I'm curious as to why you've never done a quartz diver? Something akin to a 6458 or Duro but perhaps with a mekaquartz so you still get the sweep? I think a Duro esque, mekaquartz with islander quality would be absolutely killer!!
Mark, I would love to buy the following watches from you in the future: 41/42 inch alternative to the Alpinist (same style of dial), and automatic panda chronograph.
Northport is stand out for me. you should consider removing the Myota label on the bottom, and instead of "automatic" have "NorthPort" proudly display that name, same with your non "homage" watches in general. hopefully picking one up this summer!
I am waiting for a microbrand, outside of Pitzman, to make a chronograph with the Seiko movement. I am sure it will sell How about an original diver in titanium?
Went to your site and it asks "please accept cookie consent" and that is on top of that "ok i accept" button and im unable to accept cookies. Took several page refreshes to get rid of that "please accept message". Was a bit annoying.
I'm expecting an Islander moon phase at some point. It would have seemed ridiculous two years ago, but that's how far the brand has come.
Maybe with the Islander logo etched into the moon like craters?
Maybe one day we will do one.
Great idea !!
Islander Perpetual Calendar coming soon 😂
Just tacking on to say I’d buy an Islander moon phase.
Gotta show some love to Ryan after hearing you say the Northport broke your sales records, that's an awesome accomplishment for him as a designer and I'd say absolute proof of his talents. Great job Ryan!
Absolutely, an amazing job by him and his team!
17 models !
That's an achievement upon itself.
Congratulations on all the success.
This is so America 🇺🇸!
The quality of Islander watches are impeccable!
thanks!
looking forward to the Islander Flightmaster
Me too
You do bracelets and clasps so very well. I really appreciate that about your watches.
thank you
I had my first experience with Islander quite recently and I was amazed. The quality is absolutely top-tier. I love that there is a brand that is affordable and offers great specs and original design.
thank you
It's been great watching the Islander brand grow over time. Always exciting to see what's next.
Thank you.
I couldn’t possibly know less about watch manufacturing and I LOVE ISLANDER WATCHES, BUT, a Bronze Islander would be AMAZEBALLS!!!!!
thanks for the vote
Congratulations Mark! Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy! Think I need to show off a few soon!
Thank Russell!!!!
Congratulations, Marc, with the success of Islander Watches. Personally, I own 4 Islanders, all of them are fantastic; and I have purchased a couple of other pieces, including a Zodiac Super Sea Wolf, which I adore.

thank you so much for the kind words
Sad to see them gone, but very happy I picked up my ISL-44 and 134 when they came out.
I cannot believe the value and attention to detail you're providing. Great videos. Quickly becoming my favorite microbrand to keep an eye on! Your Greenport 39mm and the original 38mm automatic diver are both on my wishlist.
Excellent update and review Mark - What a collection you have developed - Congratulations. Cheers Noel
Thank you so much for this review of your range. Very helpful to see them all in one place.
Thanks! That was the idea.
I bet your smaller proportioned (non-western market) patrons would be thrilled if you made the Northport wave dial available on one of the 38mm models... I love my 38mm islander, have been wearing it almost daily for 2 years now, wonderful value for money... Thank you Marc!

Awesome, thanks!
I wear your black A-dial +date flieger more than any other watch I own. Keep ‘em coming!!! Thanks Marc!
that's great, thanks!
Wore my ISL-18 yesterday...Love it.
I’d like to thank Islander for using Ameriquartz mvmts when needed, which is based in my home state of Arizona 🥂
Excellent, thank you.
So far, I think the Port Jefferson is my favorite. I have that watch in black and Caribbean green and love the size and how thin they are. My Northport is probably my second favorite Islander. I love what you are doing and look forward to what you come up with in the future.
I've just realised, I need more watches 👍. Great work to all at LIW.
Excellent 👍🏻
Congratulations on having a great lineup of watches. Something for everyone. Thanks Marc. Have a great day! 🙏🏼
My pleasure!
My wife and I own 14 of the watches shown here (plus a bunch not shown). Known as the King of the Budget Watch to my watch nerd buddies with expensive watches. Most of them also own an Islander or two.
Wow, that's amazing. Thanks so much!
@@islandwatch Bob in Arlington Va here,(telemeter wishes). I’m getting a new Islander, wife never says NO. She ends up with one also 😉
Your definitely on the map of great watches at good prices.
Some of the best value watches from one of the best people in the community/industry!
Wow, thank you!
I bought a skx007 from LIW like 7 years ago, recently it's been gaining time. Was looking at these to put into rotation
Looking forward to an islander speedmaster type .Fabulous watch rang already.
If you asked me if I could only own watches from one brand under $1000 I think I'd say Islander. I own two (the blue Melville and the linen dial Brookville) and they are my favorite watches. Next, i really want a waffle dial gmt and a Northport

You’ve put together a great roster of watches. Always have my eye out for what’s next, kudos Mark.
thanks!
Keep'em coming!
You've really upped your game. Very nice selection of watches... something for everybody! Thanks
thanks!
Another vote for an Islander Moonphase. Probably wouldn’t be the best seller but it would just be cool
Beautiful watches! I'm really glad to hear you are going to decorate your rotors. That will really enhance the look of your watches. Great decision!
thanks so much!
So many gorgeous watches but still no perpetual calendar chronograph toubillon minute repeater in a dive case.
LOL
You forgot a helium escape valve. 😊
I really appreciate your prices Marc. You really know your customers as well.
I appreciate that!

So tempted to get thr Manhasset watch and that new chrono. Beautiful
Thanks so much.
Love the Islanders! I own many!
I’d love to see an islander solar quartz in the future.
Its a good thing to see a lot of new micro brand for offer to normal customer a big choice of design and price for everybody.
thank you.
Marc: the Melville GMT is a damn killer!!!!!! such amazing watch!
It's a swell looker!
Great job with islander, Marc! I’m sad to hear the Port Jeff is not coming back. The white dial version was one I was hoping to see back in the store.
Sorry :(
Islander the brand has really grown and evolved from the first Islander which I still own ISL-02 first batch V1 (stamped clasp, no signed crown)
wow, the original!
Good for you Mark I’m glad your brand is growing
Thanks so much

Islander nostalgia, LOVE IT

These watches are truly amazing, and I will definitely buy a Port Jefferson gmt.

great, thank you!
I'd love to press the trigger on an Islander GMT, but would love to see something around 46mm 🙏
I love LIWC and Islander.
I'd like to see some more refined dressier watches, though, similar to Orient Star. But still with lumed hands!
thanks so much
I really love your watches, Mark. I'm kinda sad there isn't a dedicated EU store because the import fees here in Europe are a bit much.
YOWSA! You are getting dangerous for AliExpress, and that means something! I commented before, how affordable your store is, and the Islanders are absolutely worth looking at :)
Thank you

Awesome, thank you!
The only thing holding me back is the logo, otherwise great watches and brilliant work Mark
No worries, thank you
I'm guessing my gorgeous first-run ISL-18 (Rolex Yachtmaster inspiration model) was a limited edition? Cool!
I have the SKX lookalike that you showed first. However, I think it would be improved if the seconds hand had some orange or white paint on the tip to make it better to see in certain light conditions. Yes, there will be.
Cool watches Marc!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Put that 9075 in you SKX007 and you will own Seiko’s new 5 GMT line
Only one thing is missing, a 38mm blue aventurine dial Brookville. Wow. Great video. And i wish alllll my watches screw down crowns
That islander field models will be a good GMT also.

40 hour reserve, accuracy isn't stated, but figure within 30 per day, it's is not hard to wind.
I still love my day T Mitchell, I wear it every single night at work on rubber straps with metal end links filling in the lugs. It's not a perfect fit because it's not made for the watch but I like the way it makes the watch wear.

thanks! We have considered it, but never did it. Maybe one day.
Any plans for a smaller, midsize field watch? The 36mm Manhasset case would make a great platform!
Mark, I would to see the Manhasset in a 40….🙂

I love the build quality of your Watchs. Could consider putting the Islander Baiting Hollow Steel Skeleton Dive Watch #ISL-166 on sale? A price in the neighborhood of $250 - $ 260 would sweet point.
Sorry, that one is a popular one. And unfortunately, when they sell, I don't do much discounts.
I’d like to request a return of the Republic with a travellers GMT and an on the fly micro adjust clasps in the suggestion box please.
noted!

Will we ever see either an integrated bracelet islander, or a high accuracy quartz islander? (Maybe both????)
We will see a sports model, yes.
@@islandwatch Im looking forward to it

Okay!

Melville gmt is beautiful
It really is. Thanks!
7m30s the Baiting Hollow is a Seiko movement not a miyota movement. NH Series.
Correct and thanks!
I like them all.. if you send me the full lume with the black hands I will gladly review it for the Italian entusiast 😀
:)
Great video have you ever considered doing a made in Japan? Line of watches
Started from the bottom now we here..
Hopefully not still there. LOL
Still waiting for a deal on that two toned lower brookville
In the mean time, I picked up a gold prx on a 30 percent sale
Nice deal!
There’s a two-tone 38mm Brookville with a green dial on sale right now for under $200!
black manhasset for me
Sweet
Will you be making more ISL-10? I want one please.
You could just take a photo of half my watchbox and see most of what Islander produces! haha
LOL, thanks!
Man I love your lineup. Out of curiosity, how dressy do you plan to go? Romans and cathedral hands, perhaps? Call it the Hampton?
Just you wait!
Northport is stand out for me. you should consider removing the Myota label on the bottom, and instead of "automatic" have "NorthPort" proudly display that name, same with your non "homage" watches in general. hopefully picking one up this summer!
