- Rare vintage Edco Corp Twin Alert smoke and fire detector circa late 1960s to about 1973 at the latest as this has no date code or one I couldn't find. Has a Taguchi sensor (same as my Malgard) plus a very oddball horn which my Star Fire alarm also uses. Unlike most detectors back then this one doesn't have a bulb. it also has a pulsating mechanical horn. very rare for smoke detectors back then to sound like this. Supposedly these were larger versions of the K F Industries alarms..A very cool detector indeed!

thank you. I love the sound of it as well. It is very rare for squealer horns to make a pulsating tone, I still don't know the make of the horn but I definitely stumbled upon a rare gem!

Yep very oddball for sure and the pulsating sound is cool and probably my guess is the earliest detectors to make this sound, Im still baffled by the horn.

There is one on a website I'm not going to say witch one because I don't want anyone else snagging it 😂 but I am looking to buy it probably pretty soon and post it on my channel

@@VintageSmokeAlarmsMediaRandom Your channel on youtube? I tried finding it. That sounds like a really cool alarm. I have a collection now with over 40 alarms/bells and detectors. I have to re count it. I think it is almost at 50 now. It's no small fry collection anymore that's for sure.
I have 53 but some of them are modern so I only have 39 vintage alarms not including my earlier 2000nd alarms
