Totally agree with you, a great idea, but it would have made the coin stand out a lot more without the blue paint, it also takes away the beauty of the burl.

I recommend buying 3M sandpaper, you don't need to use spray adhesive because the backing is a heat activated adhesive to make sanding sticks or to stick it to a surface, very handy

If you are laying the coins flat and they have writing on each side and client wants to be able to read them would you first coat them with epoxy then sandwich in the epoxy?

That really turned out nicely! Well done. Does anyone know if I can/should/should not do that with American Silver Eagle Coins? I want to put a tube of them in one display-mold. 1/8th-1/4 inch apart... Maybe... Probably too many...at 20 coins... Also... Out of curiosity, why did you choose to use resin and pigment to paint the burl in this project? Is it because the drying time is faster using the UV resin than paint would be? better texture? Or no specific reason?
