FIX] Sharp LC-65LE645U Stuck on Sharp Screen I just wanted to create a post in case some one comes into the same situation I did. Backstory: Went to update the firmware on the Sharp LC-65LE645U and the TV froze for an hour. Ended up unplugging it and replugging it in and it only showed the Sharp screen. So I tried to do the whole factory reset and held the input and volume down buttons at the same time and plugged the TV in, but instead of getting the little K on the screen I got the Sharp logo. I tried looking up the firmware on the Sharp support site but there was none. So I called Sharp support line and they said since the firmware was not available I had to call a TV repairman to get it fixed. The TV repairman wanted $90 just to come over and was telling me it will probably be the main board on the TV that needs to be replaced which costs like $200 without the labor. So I decided not to have them come out and did a little digging. The fix: So I found another Sharp TV that had the same specs and everything and the model was similar. It was the Sharp LC-65LE654U model. I downloaded the firmware on the computer and extracted the zip file using 7zip (you can also use WinRar) and changed the name to "install.img" (no quotation marks). I then formatted the flash drive on my computer to FAT32 and copied the file over. I unplugged the TV and inserted the flash drive into the USB slot on the side of the TV and plugged the TV in. The firmware started to install and the TV is working again. *I also wanted to note that I came across the same solution while digging 20+ pages in Google on a random forum. So props to that user for confirming my thought process. I came to this subreddit earlier looking for some sort of fix and came across nothing, so I wanted to post this just in case someone gets themselves in the same situation I was in. UPDATE 1/18/2021: I have gotten message from several people since this post. I believe Sharp has removed the software from their website. I still have it and the link for it is here. I hope this helps. TV is still working and we use it everyday!
I have the lc-65le654u and having the same issues. I have tried the USB thing but I think I'm doing it wrong. I'm using a 32 gig flash drive. Is that too big of a flash drive? And do I need to rename the file? I use to be good at doing this but guess getting older has dulled my computer sense lol.
It worked! Thank you a million!!!! It did not work the first 3x. 3rd attempt I unplugged the television held the power button down for 30 seconds to drain all the power….then the screen was just black. 4x I unplugged the television removed the usb drive and tried again. Miraculously the television started updating the firmware. I was in complete disbelief. Television is working like normal.

Roku uses different model and serial numbers than Sharp. You can only get them if you can turn on your tv. Changed all boards still didn't fix the endless loop after factory reset. Sharp and Roku refused to help..both websites have the firmwares for other model but not my 1 year old LC 58G7370U Sharp Roku TV. I can pay you if you can give me the firmware file
I have the Sharp LC-65LE645U 65" TV. I can turn it on (via remote or backside of TV), "Sharp" logo displays continuously. No functions work; I must unplug TV to stop frozen logo display. Format the flash drive by Fat32 format 2. Download the tv firmware. Search online via tv main board serial number. 3. Transfer the firmware to flash drive. 4. Plug in the flash drive to tv 5. Turn on the tv and wait. Now install the tv New firmware automatically. If required select yes or ok . Hopefully this will help you to solve the problem. hi there and good evening. i have a sharp LC-50LE570X model smart LED-TV (firmware v2.13) which after a factory reset (restores TV to factory settings) now can't update apps stating that the storage is full (which in fact has 4.4GB of memory available after the reset). Is there a firmware update to supercede the current firmware and hopefully rectify this problem?

My Sharp Roku TV just shows the "Sharp Roku TV" every 30 seconds with a black screen in the background, I went to the Roku website for the firmware but the site is asking for a model number that has a letter and 4 digits but I cant find it, I opened the back of the TV and could not find it either, how can I get this? Problem is even if you get Roku Model # & Serial Number... you cant get to system menu to initiate upgrade. Would need a bootloader from USB stick to automatically trigger firmware update. Apparently TV manufacturer says ROKU is responsible for all things SW & firmware related.

I have LC-70LE660U. When you turn it on the SHARP logo comes on for a few seconds, the the TV turns off and restarts and does the same thing.

Got mine fixed! You have to use an 8 gig flash drive for it to work. Anything higher y the tv can't read it

My sharp-Roku tv says “sharp” when I turn it on with the remote then, shuts back down to black screen.

It sounds like you’re in a bit of a bind! Ordering an universal remote for the sharp TV should allow you to access the menu.

Hi johnson wavut, please apply power cable unplugging method.
After applying above then recheck the tv problem. If not work then reinstall tv firmware.
Also here is another reasons for the same problem that is main board incorrect voltage supply. In that case required to repair the main Board bad IC, capacitor or transistor.
So please recheck again.

It sounds like you're in a tricky situation! Have you tried a factory reset? Sometimes that can help get things back on track.

FIX] Sharp LC-65LE645U Stuck on Sharp Screen
I just wanted to create a post in case some one comes into the same situation I did.
Backstory:
Went to update the firmware on the Sharp LC-65LE645U and the TV froze for an hour. Ended up unplugging it and replugging it in and it only showed the Sharp screen. So I tried to do the whole factory reset and held the input and volume down buttons at the same time and plugged the TV in, but instead of getting the little K on the screen I got the Sharp logo. I tried looking up the firmware on the Sharp support site but there was none. So I called Sharp support line and they said since the firmware was not available I had to call a TV repairman to get it fixed. The TV repairman wanted $90 just to come over and was telling me it will probably be the main board on the TV that needs to be replaced which costs like $200 without the labor. So I decided not to have them come out and did a little digging.
The fix:
So I found another Sharp TV that had the same specs and everything and the model was similar. It was the Sharp LC-65LE654U model. I downloaded the firmware on the computer and extracted the zip file using 7zip (you can also use WinRar) and changed the name to "install.img" (no quotation marks). I then formatted the flash drive on my computer to FAT32 and copied the file over. I unplugged the TV and inserted the flash drive into the USB slot on the side of the TV and plugged the TV in. The firmware started to install and the TV is working again.
*I also wanted to note that I came across the same solution while digging 20+ pages in Google on a random forum. So props to that user for confirming my thought process.
I came to this subreddit earlier looking for some sort of fix and came across nothing, so I wanted to post this just in case someone gets themselves in the same situation I was in.
UPDATE 1/18/2021: I have gotten message from several people since this post. I believe Sharp has removed the software from their website. I still have it and the link for it is here. I hope this helps. TV is still working and we use it everyday!

Hi, do you remember the aprox. size of the file?. I've found some memory dumps but they were 1,5 Mb, I'm sure they ar etoo small to be the rom
Firmware file never be 1.5 Mb. It should be larger then 500 Mb.

Problem is even if you get Roku Model # & Serial Number... you cant get to system menu to initiate upgrade. Would need a bootloader from USB stick to automatically trigger firmware update. Apparently TV manufacturer says ROKU is responsible for all things SW & firmware related.

So a 32 gb usb drive won't work?
Why not work. Before this you have to format the usb drive in fat 32 format or ntav format. Kindly check actually i have forgotten the format name.

Unplug the power cable and after 5 minutes later plug in the power cable and recheck.
If same problem then check the hardware problem.
