Another great video Jon, as always. Well done on your section win. Congratulations also on being selected as one of the 25 anglers to fish the Elite League Showcase in August. Top man!! As its on a brand new venue should be fair for all. Hope it goes well for you.
Great video as usual, I won my section off that peg as well, not with the same weight, only 65lb on paste mainly, so really been learning watching you 👏👏
Brilliant video as usual Jon looked a very enjoyable days fishing that, good job the carp weren't any bigger as you might have struggled getting them out those reeds.
Great video Jon, great practice for UK champs, give Alan Norrish and Dave Wood some stick when you see them there, hope you at least get a section win mate and hopefully a win on the day
Mornin Jon, great vid as usual !! Quick question, never really done any carp fishing ( !!!!) but there is a little lake at buscot park that has some lumps up to 20lb !! What slik would you recommend for lumps up to that size ?? Cheers mate
Thanks Jeff, I think yellow 14-16 Slik or green 16-18 are ample to deal with any size of carp, but I use red 18-20 with really beefed up tackle as well.
I’ve had prescription Oakley sunglasses from my local opticians for last 10 years and that’s where my new replacement ones are coming from. I’m struggling to think where else I would go for them ha ha!
A strange UA-cam quirk is that it doesn't always show if you're on an iOS device, but you should see it on a PC/desktop computer so long as you are logged in to UA-cam.
Well done again Jon, love all your video's but just a little complaint have you turned of the stabilisation on your chest camera 🤔, it was a bit shaky, it did my nut in must be my age lol, Thank you
Hi John, would you or your sponsors be interested in the idea of making a pole considerably lighter than they are now. I know I have a way of doing this, but just not sure about the saving . It is not over complicated and would also benefit the pole in a good way. Please don’t treat me as a joke . I have patented other ideas that are good but unfortunately don’t have the means of advancement. My first invention was the carbonmonocid detector. I really believe this is much better and will will assist all types of anglers, l do hope you don’t think of me as a crackpot, but give this a lot thought. I have approach you as you come over as a gentleman in manner of things you do. PS please don’t hold any grammar or spelling mistakes against me. I am better one on one. Look forward to hearing your response. Kind Regards Alan
Hi Alan, I'm sure any company would be interested in genuine technical advancements if you approach them. It's not an area I deal in or have any experience in myself, being just a sponsored angler rather than an employee. However, with previous jobs I have had countless approaches with inventions etc and there are so many complexities with dealing with copyrights and royalties etc that it doesn't normally lead anywhere. In fact one company I worked for refused to accept any meetings because they believe there is a good chance they are already working on something or have knowledge of something an individual might think are their original idea. That's why I really try to not get involved and stick to fishing, not manufacturing! However, if you still want to push forward your ideas Matrix has a contact form that you could try at: www.fishmatrix.co.uk/home/support/contact-us/ All the best.
Thank you for your reply,in the past I have spent thousands on new ideas, only to be stitched up. Even by my patent solicitor right at the death . I can under stand you not wanting to get involved. Sometimes you only get one chance , and I wasn’t to sure that matrix was the right company. I only approached you as you come over as trustworthy gentleman and appear to be honest man. I will probably take this one to the grave with me sooner than get ripped off. Matrix was never first choice, possibly consider Preston. As you can see John the thing that will go against me will be my ability of writing a letter. Thanks for the reply and I hope you continue to have great success. PS You never know we may cross paths one day . Kind Regards Alan
Another master class Jon..you make it look so easy.
Where ever you draw you are the man to beat...simples.
Nice of you to think that, but I'm definitely not the man to beat on most waters, but I try my best!

Brilliant video as usual Jon looked a very enjoyable days fishing that, good job the carp weren't any bigger as you might have struggled getting them out those reeds.
Thanks Derek. I tend to find it’s the smaller torpedo carp that give you the most trouble!

@@JonArthur ok Jon, I’ve a 14-16 solid thro a power kit would that suffice or do you think slik would be better ? Soz for going on !!
I think Slik stretches further than traditional solids, but it should still be ok
@@JonArthur cheers Jon, tight lines mate.
Nice one!!
Thanks for the visit
Hi Jon
My local water interesting how you approached it learned some new things to try love your videos look forward to meeting you one day.
Dave
Thanks David, wish it was an hour nearer!
Hiya,do you predominately use Matrixs pre tied hooklenghths or do you still tie your own?
I still prefer to tie my own if I can, but happily use pretieds for my coaching sessions.
Hi jon
What is the float you are using down the edge
Malmans
It’s a Dino Floats model. Don’t think Malman does an in-line dibber.
well fished Top rod
Cheers Chris
if your looking for good prescription sunnies, try your local optician that stocks Oakley sunglasses, can recommend
I’ve had prescription Oakley sunglasses from my local opticians for last 10 years and that’s where my new replacement ones are coming from. I’m struggling to think where else I would go for them ha ha!
John can’t find the join button
