McDowell isn't technically a Whisky..
Its just some Rum made from Molasses and added some Whisky to classify it as Whisky..If it were to sell in abroad, it would be labelled as Rum
That is true for almost all cheap end whiskies. Better spend little bit more and go for Bp, signature, oaksmith etc
It's not even rum, as rum is aged! It's simply flavoured molasses spirit.

I have been drinking Seagram IB for some time now. Price has zoomed from 622 to 1000 in Blore as local politicians wish to finance all their dreams thru daaru tax. It is no longer middle class ka whiskey.
I hope our short sighted politicians don't drag us back to bad days of country, rat poison, cycle tyre, liquor tragedy. By pricing liquor out of the reach of lower and middle class. While they drink top quality imported single malt!
