Ok so the Red & White wire leads are activated by +12v. The reason they need to be fused is because they are when activated given constant +12v power depending upon how you program it and if you plan on using the multiple programming options built into the light. If you look closely at the programming/flash pattern charts. The light can be programmed to do one function when the Red wire lead is powered with +12v. It can be programmed to function in a different capacity when only the White wire lead is given +12v power. Lastly if the Red & White wire leads are given +12v power simultaneously the light will function in a third capacity that you choose to program. Does that all make sense? If not let us know. I just got the 3744. Instructions aren’t really that clear to me it says white and red are both + is one switched and one constant power?
