While I appreciate your enthusiasm for Project Smash and your insights into its combat system, it is important to address the notion that its mechanics offer a depth beyond their initial simplicity. While it's true that with repeated play, players may uncover nuances in combo routes and utilize their character's kit more effectively, the fundamental mechanics of Project Smash remain relatively straightforward compared to the multifaceted strategies and complexities found in games like Sol's RNG. Project Smash's combat system, while entertaining, primarily revolves around basic button inputs and timing, with limited variability in gameplay strategies beyond mastering specific character movesets. In contrast, Sol's RNG offers a depth of strategic decision-making that extends far beyond mere button pressing. Players must navigate complex probabilities, analyze risk-reward scenarios, and adapt their tactics dynamically based on ever-changing circumstances. Moreover, the existence of ranked game modes such as 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 in Project Smash does add a layer of competitiveness, but it does not inherently elevate the game above others in terms of depth or engagement. Sol's RNG, despite its seemingly simple premise of pressing a button, challenges players to delve into the depths of probability theory, engage in strategic planning, and explore the boundless possibilities offered by its cosmic landscape. In essence, while Project Smash may offer enjoyable combat mechanics and competitive modes, its depth pales in comparison to the strategic intricacies and cosmic wonder found in Sol's RNG. The latter, despite its apparent simplicity, offers a truly immersive and intellectually stimulating gaming experience that transcends the limitations of button-mashing combat systems.
Hello Eclipse, good to see you had fun in Roblox considering the platform's current situation (Bad to worst), which is a rare sight and i like to see that. As somebody who as played this game for a while, I’ve seen some very strange stuff when it comes to a select few classes, most notably monk and wizard. These classes if played by the right people kinda feel like just watching your character take more and more damage as certain things like slow m1s, purposely missing the knockback hit in a move, and other things allow for extremely long combos. Outside of those two classes I’d say it’s a pretty good balancing decision and wizard is bound to have its cooldowns nerfed. Ngl I thought eclipse would trash on this game but I guess not lol. Gamemodes are in the works rn which would be a good addition.
There is a genuine infinite combo for almost every c teir besides golem and cyborg(?) using downslam tech (bs m1 just after a downslam before they even hit the ground)
Monk with palm, barrage, legsweep bs, Samurai with, shit nevermind. Valk with barrage and stab, and wizard with its THREE FUCKING COMBO EXTENDERS. Oh yeah and a shitload of dashing and downslamming
Yep project smash is one of the only games I can enjoy on roblox now. I agree with eclipse when it comes to roblox I only really get on to record and that’s it but project smash gave me some hope. 😮💨
Hey eclipse! Glad you enjoyed this game. But if you ever plan on replaying it. Theres an all-class uppercut you can use by clicking while looking up in midair. Really helps to recover from being sent long distamces
Been playing this game for a week and a half now and this game CAN be fun but it needs so many balance changes and systems added into the game, some classes are so overtuned that its uncanny.
eclipse, If you play project smash for the first time, They put you in a noob server with Newer players, and boring grounds does not have that so you'd be facing pros instead of noobs, And yeah this game has the some of the same mechanics like side dashing around the opponent.
The main reason we like these games is because 1. Smash. And 2 we get the satisfactory of punching something which is why games like yba resorted to punch but that was also their downfall because like every game once you get that punch thing you wanted there isnt much you would want to do anymore with yba you could punch or you just had to wait for certain events in order to punch so there wasnt a point of even playing Another reason why one piece games get a lot of recognition there is way more ideas you can get with one piece because there is certain set factors like "wait in this server for this long for a fruit to spawn and with a chance you can get something good!" Or "0.01 percent drop from this boss" which convinces players that they want that of punch moves because of how punch it is inevitably making them waste their time but if they actually achieve that then that is when the player is satisfied and quits which is why gpo died, lack of updates and horrible punches. And that is the reason why players prefer to play games like deepwoken because it is actually immersive and there is plenty to do and if you lose everything that motivates you to get back to where you were at and possibly get more stuff and punch while you progressed directly where ypu were at. I know i just yapped for awhile then meatrode deepwoken but thats just my opinion
Comparing "Sol's RNG" to "Project Smash" is like comparing a meticulously crafted bowl to a hastily thrown together one. Imagine if "Sol's RNG" were a bowl made from the finest porcelain, carefully shaped and glazed to perfection, while "Project Smash" were a bowl hastily molded from cheap plastic with jagged edges and uneven surfaces. Firstly, let's delve into the metaphorical realm of bowls. "Sol's RNG" is akin to a bowl crafted with precision and care, where every detail is meticulously planned out. The game design is thoughtfully structured, offering players a balanced and immersive experience akin to sipping from a bowl filled with the purest water, refreshing and satisfying. In contrast, "Project Smash" feels more like a hurriedly assembled bowl, lacking the finesse and attention to detail. Its gameplay mechanics may feel rough around the edges, akin to drinking from a cracked and leaky bowl, leaving players unsatisfied and yearning for more. Now, let's sprinkle in some photosynthesis and grass. Picture "Sol's RNG" as a lush, vibrant field of grass, bathed in the warm glow of the sun. The game's creativity and innovation are akin to the process of photosynthesis, where ideas flourish and grow, nourished by the game's rich gameplay and community engagement. On the other hand, "Project Smash" might resemble a patchy, wilted lawn struggling to thrive. Its lack of originality and depth could be likened to a barren landscape devoid of the vitality that sustains a healthy gaming experience. In essence, "Sol's RNG" shines as a beacon of excellence in the Roblox gaming community, offering players a refined and gratifying experience akin to savoring from a finely crafted bowl amidst a flourishing field of creativity. Meanwhile, "Project Smash" pales in comparison, lacking the polish and ingenuity to truly captivate players, much like a hastily thrown together bowl amidst a lackluster patch of grass.
The smash bros brawl music playing at the end really hit a nostalgic nerve. I would play project smash more but like Eclipse said, it doesn't really give you a reason to come back to the game. It's fun but can't come back to the game.
What made me enjoy project smash for much longer than other battlegrounds games is that it feels faster paced. Sure, some combos can be long, but they aren't absurd. It feels quick and smooth, and it also allows the person who's being combo'd to not feel like they can just walk away with how long it takes. The fact that the game isn't the standard HP system is probably the greatest strength it has, because you always feel like you could make a comeback, even if you're fighting an army. The Anti Gank as you've called it also allows for things like 2v1s or more to feel oddly fair? I've enjoyed the game a lot, and one of my main motivating factors even after getting every character, was to then learn each character and to have fun with them. Especially the ones that most would consider bad.
Once you get moving in this game, it can become a whole lot more enjoyable. There's a level of simplism in the combo system which I don't really like. Some of the classes barely have any neutral (I'm looking at you monk) and feel like your average braindead stun simulator. The earlier classes are easily outshined by the new ones in level of complexity. The enjoyment from me comes from the unique uptilting and downtilting as well as the smash-like percentage system. Knocking people off-stage and edge-guarding using your skills. Neutral and advantage positions is what makes this different from other fighting games on roblox. There's always a way to fight back even if you're far behind and pulling off more complex combos feels extremely rewarding even if they're not better than a simple stun simulator optimal combo. Playing this with friends is where it really shines. The things you can come up with with team comps are really fun. I hope this game capitalizes on its uniqueness as much as possible instead of going the route every battlegrounds game goes.
To be fair before someone comes at me I haven't been playing much of the new classes and it seems the devs are not balancing their game all that much. They bring out characters pretty damn quickly but then no patch notes leaving some of the new classes that need heavy nerfing alone to focus on their new one. I hope they do more balancing and fixes rather than pumping out new content.
I haven't played much, but the whole "stuck in a combo forever" thing is still there, and it usually applies to higher tier characters. Unfortunately, that means that someone with a weaker character is at a disadvantage.
I came across this game via egg hunt and got very addicted to it. It’s basically a 3D smash and I absolutely love it. There is problem in money grinding tho. Also nerf wizard
if you like project smash you might like AUR EDIT: Oh also play ULTRAKILL its very good game there is also a game on roblox inspired by it called Combat Initiation
There was this one game, I forgot what it was called but I’m pretty sure it was discontinued. It was a battle-royale fighting game with different classes similar to Project smash, except there was heat bars and modes and all that. Reminds me a little of ASBR. Edit: I did a little search and it was called Black Magic 2: Phantom’s Causatum. It has like no players now but I remember it being really popular around 3 years ago.
Tip: By looking up while mid-air and doing an M1 attack, you’ll perform an Uppercut. While looking down instead, you’ll do a ground-pound. Both are on a cooldown, shorter than most abilities. Uppercuts are good for recovering and hitting mid-air enemies or enemies on the ledge of a vantage point. They take advantage over ground-pounds, but the angle they send people at is pretty bad defensively, you can’t hit grounded opponents, and their cooldown means you’ll only get one, maybe two off in a single recovery. Ground-pounds are good for spiking off-stage enemies, threatening enemies below you, and dealing some extra damage during neutral. Like what you did with your abilities, they’re an extreme threat for people off-stage, but it can be hard to line up, can be beaten out by Uppercuts, and a missed ground-pound can either get you combo’d on-stage or _dead_ off-stage. Edit: Just realised you did mention it in the middle of the video, but never used the Uppercut for recovery
this game reminds me of my favorite games, Shit RNG, Bee Game, and Blox Fruit. Once I get what I want in these 3 games I don’t play, it feels rewarding, the reward for Project Smash is that I unlock the fun achievement.
if you liked this game you'd probably enjoy combat warriors too, they're fairly similar but combat warriors has a more souls-inspired combat with a focus on unlocking different weapons in each weapon class and other tools or equipment. the game is a lot of mindless fun all things considered i think you should give it a try
Fuck dude i havent watched the video but seeing that title really makes me happy eclipse i love youre videos and this game so i hope you continue this game.
I hopped on project smash a week or so ago and also had a similar feeling, it was really fun unlike literally any Roblox game I play on my own but I felt like I was just biased since Super Smash Bros Ultimate is probably one of my top 5 favourite games. Good to see it probably wasn’t just my bias.
Eclipse, I know you said there's a lack of gamemodes in this video, but that's not actually true. If you click the bronze ranked icon below your cash and level, it takes you to the 1v1s gamemode.
Souls Rng is good because like games (not other games, it's not a game) with afk modes it makes people do something else that isnt roblox, hopefully going outside, working, talking around the neighborhood. But being on a discord call just talking to your friends or playing another game while it goes is also fine. Now, if they just have it on at night, i dont know what to say.
Good on eclipse for making variety Roblox content for multiple videos straight on non-Roblox JoJo, and every single vid now has already reached or is well on its way to 50k views.
You should really try Rogue Lineage. It's very unforgiving and hard to learn at first, but I believe it is the best game on the platform. Made by the same devs that made Deepwoken
what i think they should do is fully commit the the smash brothers part and get trophies dedicated to other roblox games and history, characters or classes dedicated to other roblox games and history, a subspaces emissary like campaign etc
hey eclipse, another (sort of) popular roblox "3D smash bros" game you'd probably enjoy is Encounters. the very large problem with this game though is the pay to win factor. the devs release VERY broken characters that are only obtainable via purchasing with robux, which sucks. anyways, if you want to play it you can, but i don't really recommend it because of this glaring problem.
the balancing gets way more unbalanced w the c rank classes, theres one that has insane recovery + 3 combo extenders (valkyrie) fighting it without using another c rank (most have multiple combo extenders) is a huge disadvantage
this bowl of a game is such a photosynthesis, there's even a WHOOPS!!! I JUST SPILLED MY BOWL!!WHOOPS!!! I JUST SPILLED MY BOWL!! truly the best bowl with alluring
Generally, while it still IS a battlegrounds game, it definitely has a bit more substance due to some of the changes. While the percent health is nice, giving a bit more fluidity to how rounds play out due to consistently having options to prevent others from recovering, alongside some SLIGHT variation on combos that typically aren't that interesting since it's usually just low percent combos, it's not what I think it actually the most notable part of the gameplay. That would be the universal downwards stomp. Since this isn't a "move" firstly, it actually has a small cooldown, meaning it isn't just dedicated to the one specific time where it's most useful. In addition, being able to cancel it by pressing space allows you to vary your landing times a lot better if you actually decide to play the game a fair bit, though being punishable if you don't cancel it before landing. And since you don't have your M1 chain in the air (usually), if you cancel it right next to someone, then you can actually get punished, as the window for cancelling the stomp and hitting someone grounded is actually very small if it does exist, but likewise, if you don't cancel it, they'll likely get hit into the air. The multiple jumps/uppercut also help a lot in this, as you can cancel it and then gain more air time. The difference between this and the whole TSB sidedash, is that while I can't say either of them are that intuitive, canceling stomp actually adds more options rather than just typically invalidating others.
Like you said, the game is really fun my only issue is how long it takes to unlock classes later on, especially when you realise you dont like the one you took
I suggest you to make a video about UNDERTALE:Final showdown and UNDERTALE:Last corridor, undertale:test place reborn and alternate battlegrounds. these are the peak games of undertale roblox tbh.(also undertale test place reborn and alternate battlegrounds got WAYY before the strongest battlegrounds. )
For me having fun in the hunt was gunfight arena. I just like seeing these kids passing by me even when they literally had direct eye contact with me. Like their attention spans made me laugh as i just hid behind a rock and started shooting
Holy shit he saw my fucking comment on recommending this game lets goooo (this is highly unlikely but idk anymore). Also an add on to this comment if you will ever actually continue to play project smash, the game was released about 1 - 2ish months ago. Also the anti third party only applies to your m1s and some moves of certain classes, you will see what I mean if you continue to play the game. Also since you were really new, the server you were playing on was a new people server, there is a seperate server where people who now has enough knowledge on the game to play some what competively play at, you will be transfered there from like lvl 5 and onwards. Currently, there are some moves that by pass the anti third party and most of them are aoe types (these moves are really annoying, trust me on this): Ninja's 4th skill Archer's 4th skill Bandit's 4th skill Samurai's 2nd skill Samurai's 3rd skill Wizard's 3rd skill All of these by pass the anti third party and public servers are most of the time in complete mayhem with bombs everywhere. The devs already promised for more gamemodes to come soon and as of now, the only other game modes are 1v1s and 2v2s. The game as you said is genuinely fun and I have high hopes for this game to succeed because for once it is not anime related and it is somewhat creative.
eclipse, you should really try fighting the maestro boss in deepwoken, as he is currenly the hardest boss in deepwoken as of now. while you're at it, you can also fight duke erisia, as he's a prerequisite to fighting maestro. just a suggestion tho. great content.
There is another 3D smash bros-type game called Encounters, but between this one and the other, Project Smash is the more fun one in my opinion. Just wanted to say it, because this reminds me of the Entry Point video, to then go to the Notoriety one.

Gamemodes are in the works rn which would be a good addition.
I need a skip cinematic button for every time I get in a wizard combo
@@evanbrouillet4369as a wizard main. My apologies. These combos are eye crack for us
Seriously who though it was a good idea to give wizard 3 combo extends and the best recovery move in the entire game
I saw the thumbnail and the title and i was like "it's just like me fr" since i hate games with that push% but i love this for some reason.
Yep project smash is one of the only games I can enjoy on roblox now. I agree with eclipse when it comes to roblox I only really get on to record and that’s it but project smash gave me some hope. 😮💨
Techy you should play combat initiation it’s like ultrakill but less chaotic
It’s kind of mid
Hey eclipse! Glad you enjoyed this game. But if you ever plan on replaying it. Theres an all-class uppercut you can use by clicking while looking up in midair. Really helps to recover from being sent long distamces
Been playing this game for a week and a half now and this game CAN be fun but it needs so many balance changes and systems added into the game, some classes are so overtuned that its uncanny.
eclipse had fun on roblox!? take me back to my universe.
eclipse, If you play project smash for the first time, They put you in a noob server with Newer players, and boring grounds does not have that so you'd be facing pros instead of noobs, And yeah this game has the some of the same mechanics like side dashing around the opponent.
Bros only purpose in life is only to get temporary hope and fun and then game turns shit
One must imagine sisyphus happy
@@fabrypetty1689 One must imagine eclipse cringing
So goofy, I hope so many people interact with this comment for eclipse's engagement
Oh nah. Bro tweaking
real tweaker hours up in here
listen i don't agree with eclipse's opinions that much (no grind = bad??) but sol's rng just isn't a game at all
is this an AI comment
Ha is also quite a well crafted bowl , if I do say so myself
Came to do the hunt, stayed for the "m1 stun gameplay"
3 views in 1 minute?? You fell off you should upload yba
This isnt funny

you should oil up for eclipse
Nuh uh
Yuh guh
Sometimes, the games are fun if you play with friends, but all my friends are BUSY.
Hey eclipse I tried this game and really enjoyed it, thanks for recommending this to me
Whoa, I guess I have no choice but to play this --game-- experience
Eclipse theres this called called "your bizarre memories" wich is a remake of old yba, you should try it tho not a lot of people play it
The smash bros brawl music playing at the end really hit a nostalgic nerve. I would play project smash more but like Eclipse said, it doesn't really give you a reason to come back to the game. It's fun but can't come back to the game.
New Eclipse video dropped gotta get the cup noodles ready
I recently played project smash due to the egg hunt. I thought it was going to be like TSB but it's actually good.
honestly any smash type of game is fun everyone is just there to have fun and knock people out
One of the few really fun Roblox games is called Get A Snack At 4 AM and it's incredibly underrated
I genuinely agree I played it for two days and the game dose not get old or repetitive its amazing
its fun because the movement isnt terrible and everything is fast paced and the effects are really good and are used at the perfect time
project smash is a wonderful very well made professionally made bowl
That dude that was targeting you was thinking "man this dude is so bad he sucks" eclipse was thinking "its fun fighting this dude"
what a cool game, i hope they dont spill they're well crafted bowl!
PLAY PILGRAMMED!!!
if you like project smash you might like AUR
EDIT: Oh also play ULTRAKILL its very good game there is also a game on roblox inspired by it called Combat Initiation
Edit: Just realised you did mention it in the middle of the video, but never used the Uppercut for recovery
seeing eclipse happy is a really rare drop but it delivers you can hear the smile
I guess the devs didn't spill their bowl during development
this game reminds me of my favorite games, Shit RNG, Bee Game, and Blox Fruit. Once I get what I want in these 3 games I don’t play, it feels rewarding, the reward for Project Smash is that I unlock the fun achievement.
This bowl is my kinda bowl. Praying i don't spill it.
if you liked this game you'd probably enjoy combat warriors too, they're fairly similar but combat warriors has a more souls-inspired combat with a focus on unlocking different weapons in each weapon class and other tools or equipment. the game is a lot of mindless fun all things considered i think you should give it a try
Eclipse discovered a new word today, so proud of my man 👏😪
Never thought eclipse could ever have fun with a truely magnificent and well crafted bowl!
Fuck dude i havent watched the video but seeing that title really makes me happy eclipse i love youre videos and this game so i hope you continue this game.
There may be no goal but the game is named “project” so it probably means its still in development, more proof is the characters aint fully done
Hey eclipse could you do a review of Peroxide? The progression is better then most (as long as you don't go hollow) and the pve is alright.
Good on eclipse for making variety Roblox content for multiple videos straight on non-Roblox JoJo, and every single vid now has already reached or is well on its way to 50k views.
I love this game more than all Battleground/fighting games in the whole platform
this game is GREAT
really the only game where i don't start playing passively at low hp since there is no hp
Lets go he played the game!!
(idk if you saw my comment prob not but im glad ya played it :D)
hey eclipse, another (sort of) popular roblox "3D smash bros" game you'd probably enjoy is Encounters. the very large problem with this game though is the pay to win factor. the devs release VERY broken characters that are only obtainable via purchasing with robux, which sucks. anyways, if you want to play it you can, but i don't really recommend it because of this glaring problem.
Eclipse, have you ever fought a samurai user before, they literally have a combo that gets you to 100% in 1 combo
Why does having a starting lobby make a game lesser?!
Eclipse having fun? This cant be possible
Oh wow sun and moon collision liked strongest ground of smashing! Awesome
the balancing gets way more unbalanced w the c rank classes, theres one that has insane recovery + 3 combo extenders (valkyrie) fighting it without using another c rank (most have multiple combo extenders) is a huge disadvantage
this bowl of a game is such a photosynthesis, there's even a WHOOPS!!! I JUST SPILLED MY BOWL!!WHOOPS!!! I JUST SPILLED MY BOWL!! truly the best bowl with alluring
This actually looks fun, I'll be trying this out myself.
It's good seeing Eclipse experience positive emotions while playing roblox games
I’m not kidding I joined the game saw the egg grabbed it and left I thought it was suspiciously easy
I watched you're videos during the total eclipse XD🌚
Eclipse you should play Decaying winter or combat initiation
Holy shit he saw my fucking comment on recommending this game lets goooo (this is highly unlikely but idk anymore).
Also an add on to this comment if you will ever actually continue to play project smash, the game was released about 1 - 2ish months ago.
Also the anti third party only applies to your m1s and some moves of certain classes, you will see what I mean if you continue to play the game.
Also since you were really new, the server you were playing on was a new people server, there is a seperate server where people who now has enough knowledge on the game to play some what competively play at, you will be transfered there from like lvl 5 and onwards.
Currently, there are some moves that by pass the anti third party and most of them are aoe types (these moves are really annoying, trust me on this):
Ninja's 4th skill
Archer's 4th skill
Bandit's 4th skill
Samurai's 2nd skill
Samurai's 3rd skill
Wizard's 3rd skill
All of these by pass the anti third party and public servers are most of the time in complete mayhem with bombs everywhere.
The devs already promised for more gamemodes to come soon and as of now, the only other game modes are 1v1s and 2v2s.
The game as you said is genuinely fun and I have high hopes for this game to succeed because for once it is not anime related and it is somewhat creative.
Eclipse can actually have fun ? thats a new one
Im glad someone has the same first expression as me
Yeah it's fun but the hitboxes and the balanced need to be fixed, that's the only issue i have with the game
eclipse, you should really try fighting the maestro boss in deepwoken, as he is currenly the hardest boss in deepwoken as of now. while you're at it, you can also fight duke erisia, as he's a prerequisite to fighting maestro. just a suggestion tho. great content.
Eclipse realizing that a game doesnt have to be ridiculously well made to be fun
me when
when the
i love eclipse sound design
There is another 3D smash bros-type game called Encounters, but between this one and the other, Project Smash is the more fun one in my opinion. Just wanted to say it, because this reminds me of the Entry Point video, to then go to the Notoriety one.
You should play locked its a soccer game and all my friend does is play it so I want you to try it out
Eclipse having fun?
Which universe am I in?
I nearly spilled my drink reading the title.
Thank god this was featured in the hunt event, I would never find this gem of a game
Eclipse. I promise you had was due to luck. This game has unholy ping if you get unlucky with the servers and i guarantee that's what allowed you to have fun. The holy forces of PING!
Strongest boring ground isn't skill its who can 100-0 the first, also keep up the good work and do what you love.
Also there are 1v1s
this seems like someone gave a blind person eyesight💀
wait super smash bros in 3d that sounds so fun
Story mode in this game would be incredibly amazing
