Madrigal Singers, always a spectacle. Mori is such a showstopper. The song was made even more difficult because of the slow tempo thus needing more breath support but she did it like a pro!
Where even to start! First off the Madrigal singers! holy mackerel! One of the best choral groups I've ever heard. Notice they are SITTING! I love the arrangement where they encircle her and she stands in the middle. While watching and listening to it, one thing is evident ,there is noone like Morissette Amon , I repeat there is noone like her! This was a masterclass in vocal control, dynamics, vibrato, pacing, her restraint was unreal! The technique was so flawless, it allowed all of us to be swept away by just pure sound. This performance just floats! If ever there was a performance for vocal coaches to pour over it's this one. They need to see this astounding choir and at the center, Morissette, giving us further proof that her voice in the music world is critical! Glory to God for the gift you bestowed upon this beautiful girl!

You know what? I attended several concerts of Madrigal Singers and it's taboo to applaud/clap while the song is going on. But the audience here just can't contain themselves after Morissette's whistle.
This is really how the Phil. Madrigal Singers perform always. No conductor, seated in a half circle. The founder of the group says that the audience forms the other half to complete the circle. So very proud of them also.
I mean, it's easy for other singers to belt and do stuff like that but to have that control on your voice singing acapella without overpowering the choir is truly amazing and a very hard thing to do. 💛
It is usually the other way around, choirs overpowering the lead singer. Kudos to Madz for being such a great support to Mori. They accompanied each other so well.

Choral singing is one of the or in my perspective the highest and difficult form of singing. It’s because choral singing is 80% listening and 20% actual singing and you have to do it together. It takes a very good soloist with great control of his or her voice who could actually flawlessly sing with a great choir. Morissette is one of the few great singers in the Philippines who is able to go with the heavenly music of the Philippine Madrigal Singers. This performance was superb because the audience was filled with highly musical people who carefully listens to each single note being sung. Mabuhay MADZ and Morissette! Blessed to watch this performance live.

I don't really get why a lot of bashers criticize her for not putting enough "emotions" in her singing, when in fact, Mori never fails to give more than 100% in every performances she makes. Her voice is just so distinct. Her voice control is impeccable. Her projection, gesture and facial experessions in almost all of her performances are on point. jocriss i think that’s what makes her comparable to Regine in her prime. When they cover songs, they leave their imprint on it. A piece of themselves if you would. That no matter how many technically gifted singers cover the same song, their impressions wouldnt be as effective as Regine’s or Mori’s. There are other singers that can probably hold a note higher or longer than Mori but she will always be better. ❤️

Hindi ko alam kung bakit.. but this mori’s performance was her best performance for me.. when i need to calm myself from all the negativities i listen to this.. i find this very heavenly.. for me nagkaroon ng bagong form ung kanta not just a love song maybe because of the madrigal singers which by the way great also.. ung emotion nilang lahat umaapaw.. unang note pa lang.. hook ka na.. ewan pero sobrang nakakaadik si mori.. i know she will still soar high.. a talent with such humility.. a girl with such passion and determination..
