Very glad you had these. I bought all my grown kids one of those radios a few yrs ago . GREAT CHRISTMAS GIFT GUYS FIR FAMILIES . Your a good dad trying to keep things joyful in the house. Sorry ive listened to you last couple videos just often listen driving so forget to go back later to respond. Stay well
No power, phones or any kind, working radio stations or anything in my area in Louisiana for 3 weeks after hurricane Laura. No breeze for days afterward and it was nearly 100 degrees every day with high humidity. It was too hot to go inside the house. I used a very sensitive AM radio with 400 hour battery life to get news from distant cities about what was going on.
Get an Onite USB powered camping bulb. It only draws 5w and is warm white. I`ve used them for years with no issues. A power bank you can carry in your pocket can run them. I also use the larger 5-blade USB powered fans. A larger 25,000 mAh power bank can run one on low for 24 hours.
The little 4 inch Dash Mini Griddle only uses 350w. It can make one 4 inch pancake per minute or a thick 4 inch homemade pan biscuit every 3 minutes. Great for tiny burgers and pan sausage and fried eggs too. It has a thermostat so it browns things without burning.
There's some pretty good 1000-1500 wh power stations out there you can usually find in sale for around $500... Ecoflow Delta 2 Bluetti ac180 Anker solox c 1000 And really quite a few more lesser known like the Pecron e1500lfp And the Oupes Mega 1 that was just recently released on sale. Good luck and hope things get better for you soon. Be safe all🙏
Great setup. I have an Ecoflow system. It was great having power and internet while the whole community was in darkness. I know people with solar panels but no batteries so they were in darkness also. Respect bredren
Great job Sir. People never know when things are going to happen. I would recommend a small generator that runs on gas or propane to recharge your power stations. Using a generator an hour or so to charge power stations is another great backup source, and reduces the need to use so much gas or propane. God bless.
Morning Dan, I came from proverty. Flambo if you know what I mean. So to have Solar to help out I love it. It pretty much pay for itself. I am in NYC so we good. Prepping for freezing cold. One year we had -10 in NYC that temp burst the pipes. So I learned a lesson that year.
Having enough solar to run the fridge and charge all the batteries was a game changer this hurricane. I hooked up 300w of the 1200w I had been trying to make time to set up.
@cetriyasArtnComicsChannel Depends on what you are starting with and what your needs are. Figure out what you need to power and put together a system that can run that for at least 1-2 weeks. (Tampa hurrican Milton) I had 300W of solar available on a solar tracker (it actively follows the sun). A 2KW Anker battery bank and another 1.8KW in old batteries attached to the solar panels. Starting from full on everything, by day three, I started running out of power due to cloudy weather and having too many fridges to power. I consolidated down to 1 fridge at that point to save power. The next day, the lights came back on. To address my system's shirt comings, I've added a 2.2KW gas generator and another 400w of solar, 700w total. I've got another 500w in panels to install. I've also got an adapter with a long cord so I can charge the Anker battery bank and my solar batteries off my truck alternator in a pinch. (More options = more flexibility.)
Shout out to Uncle Leadfarmer73. Always drop knowledge. Thank the Lord that you and your family is Dan stay blessed

Most smaller rice cookers can be used with your 500w power station. The Aroma 4-cup only uses about 225w.
It's good to hear that you weathered the storm 🙌🏿 Thanks for sharing your Preparedness situation ☮️💚🌿

Maybe lifestyle saver vs life saver

Dan,
Glad you and your family weathered the storm.
Curious: Whete do you live?
Too much cloud seeding 😂 They are blocking the sun too much. No promises!
How much water did you have? I'm also Lead Farmer fan. ❤❤
