Hi! Mindfulness can be an effective therapy for binge eating disorders. Perhaps finding a therapist who specializes in mindfulness but not necessarily binge eating disorders could be a good start to identifying a new therapist given the difficulty in finding a therapist who only specializes in binge eating disorders?
I'm 61 years old and I am pretty certain that I have autism. Everything I remember from being a child plus the way I still am, leads me to think that, after reading stuff about it and watching videos. Can't see me ever being tested though....for a start I would feel too awkward going anywhere to get that done and as far as I know it is extremely complicated and expensive. Not worth bothering at my age. I've been like this all my life so I can deal with it. I can definitely relate to you when you say various things are too overwhelming though.
@@lynneanthony168 I don't think that having it confirmed would make any difference to my life and definitely wouldn't change the way I am, so why bother....maybe I would have done if I had realised many years ago, not sure.
I was diagnosed last year, at 45. I had MULTIPLE therapists immediately dismiss it when I brought it up. Every single one of them said it's just Anxiety (which I also have). This last one I specifically chose because she's specialized in ASD. She said she couldn't see me for that unless I had that diagnosis. I said your profile says you also deal with Anxiety. Can you treat me for that? Lol. That answer was yes. She didn't dismiss it. She walked me through how to get evaluated for ASD, by someone who will actually run the tests. Oh my. Shocking. The Neuropsych confirmed my ASD diagnosis (I already knew). It took 14 years from the time I figured it out until the time I got an actual diagnosis.
Hi Tammy. That's great that you're getting tested for autism and continuing to advocate for your mental health, which is so important, as you know. I highly recommend you check out Alan Roberts and his lovely wife, Crystal, on YT. They are weight loss and fitness coaches for people with binge eating disorders. Alan can be a little rough around the edges because he always speaks his mind, which I find refreshing, but if his style isn't for you, his wife Crystal is very nice and mellow. They're excellent coaches and Alan has also struggled with binge eating and he lost 100 pounds and has kept it off for years. Hope this helps. Keep up the great work on your weight loss goals. 😊
My friend. Please relax and dont be so hard on yourself which i know is very very hard as i suffer the same way but please enjoy your day, life, time with friends, alone time.... Whatever you do please try to breath and enjoy the moments as they come.
autism has a lot of different aspects to it, and some professionals don't think a patient can be autistic if they don't show clear signs of struggling with all autistic traits. i'm autistic but when i was being diagnosed at 15, i was at first told i was too imaginative and was too good at understanding figurative language, metaphors and sarcasm to have autism. ultimately, because i struggle with so many other autistic traits (mainly social interaction and sensory issues), i was diagnosed. as a child all my autistic traits were ignored because i was a well behaved kid with good grades, i was seen as intelligent and introverted rather than autistic. self diagnosis is not perfect (a lot of autistic traits can be from other disorders and figuring out what diagnosis fits your issues is best done with a professional) but especially considering that there is no real treatment for autism (you can get support and accomodations though), it can be enough for some people to identify their issues as probably being autism. i know when i first learned about autism, i was 13 and it made me realize that i wasn't a bad person or broken, i was just different. i'm glad i am diagnosed now, but the most impactful thing for me was to learn about autism and understand that i could be autistic, because it made me able to forgive myself for being weird.
You make perfect sense to me. I have the same issues about being around people and being in public. Being on the spectrum isn't easy, but you can find tools to help you manage. Sending lots of love.
I have autism and was diagnosed at 4 years old I relate to a lot of what you said and my advice for the weight loss is to lose weight in little parts and focus on your present

Lol, I recently started realising that I might be autistic as well and talked about it with my therapist. I keep being overwhelmed, get overstimulated so quickly and want to close myself off from the world. This has been happening since childhood. I thought I was just differently wired, but now it turns out it might be autism mixed with ADHD. What diagnosis it will be only time will tell.. Good luck Tammy!🍀❤
Tammy keep fighting for yourself and to get yourself tested for autism I know it's different in male and female but my two grandsons have both tested for high functioning autism. The oldest is 7 and he has been in therapy for quite awhile he is doing better with being around crowds and getting overstimulated but it still happens and when he goes into a meltdown it gets bad. He has noise reducing headphones to help with the sounds around him and he has a weighted blanket that helps him at times plus he has gotten a little support dog that helps soothe him but he can't handle people arguing or yelling at all certain foods even seem to mess with him emotionally. So many don't understand autism at all they will just say he doesn't have it that he is just throwing a tantrum I wish people would get educated on things like that even some doctors are like that and now is little brother has been diagnosed with it also . So good luck at getting tested and getting in with a therapist for it research as ,much as you can about it .
I too have that problem that if I notice something on my clothing or something not right in a room I can only focus on it and it makes me feel like I'm less until I can change what I am wearing again. It's the worst if I am out and cannot change I've even gone so far to stop into a store and buy like the exact same color shirt and change even if its to just go home in.
You could look for a metal animal shape topiary that people use for making like plants climb on I've seen different breeds of dogs or a cat if you want the premade metal part to its welded together for you or you could diy something.
The socks! Do you know the motive? Its a artwork called "Skriet" (The Scream) by the norwegian painter Edvard Munch. The original painting picture a scene from Oslo, and to day I drowe over the bridge you see the "screamer" standing on - I thought it was fun that you posted this video - just wanted to comment that :) All best to you Tammy! I really like following you!
Hey!! I'll watch this video later but I just wanted to leave this detrimental info here for anyone seeking a diagnosis as an adult. I would appreciate likes so others can see this comment. As an adult with an autism diagnosis, I want to leave you with a warning and ask you to look at the dark side of the diagnosis that few people talk or know about because of unawareness. Lots of people are very privileged and never have to think of any of this. First of all there are usually very few guaranteed benefits from having a diagnosis. So I suggest really finding out exactly what those benefits would be for you before seeking diagnosis. There really is no official treatment for autism. For me, the negatives are truly scary and I'm fearful my rights might be taken away.. Alright so, not all of these will apply globally, I hope. However they are important factors you need to figure out before diagnosis. I will make it an easy to follow list. These might be triggering, but it's our reality. - So to start with the negatives, for diagnosed autistics there are a lot of countries you're not allowed to immigrate to. - Then if you're thinking of gender affirming care, like transitioning, that is very often denied from autistic people. So we don't have bodily autonomy like others. - Another type of autonomy we can lose is legal autonomy. We can be forcibly put under conservatorhip, and this way losing control over our finances, housing, permission to marry, consent to surgery, sign contracts etc. - Autistics can also be institutionalized if someone close to us claims that we are in danger, or if a doctor believes we are not “complying” with medical instructions. For example, if an Autistic adult decides they don’t wish to take an antidepressant that’s been prescribed to them because they hate the side effects, they may be treated as medically noncompliant and a risk to themselves and be forced to take meds or be institutionalized as a result. - We can lose our parental and reproductive rights. - We can be denied organ transplants and care. Preserving a disabled person’s life is still considered a less worthy cause than saving someone non-disabled. Disabled people are more likely to die from covid for example, because we are secondary, and our access to ventilators has been rationed and inappropriate Do Not Resuscitate orders added secretly to some of our medical records. The medical discrimination of disabled people in general is shocking. - Discrimination against autistic people is deeply embedded in systems around the world. We are generally seen as less competent. I will finish this list by saying, if you think you are autistic then I will see you as autistic and most of our community welcomes you. I have learned the most about autism and tips to make my life fit around me better from other autistic people. Autism is wonderful and we are all in this together. I will continue to fight for our autonomy.
I ve seen autistic kids with selfharm attitude, chewing their fingers/arms till blood, non verbal, in diapers for the rest of their life. There is nothing wonderful in autism! And its growing each day all around the world!
I have no idea what backwards country you live in...but you assume this is a thing in many places, and making the claims you're making, with literally nothing to back it up, is really ridiculous.

Tammy I was surprised how the covid mask has greatly helped me, along with my sunglasses when I have to go out. Before I realized how safe the mask made me feel, I already wore my sunglasses even after dark, but now I never go out without the mask too. Even tho I do find the mask inconvenient and uncomfortable, (and a lot of dirty looks) while at the same time it keeps me calm and enterally 'safe'. I don't go out as often as you do, but now at least after discovering the mask going out isn't as difficult for me. I REALLY NEED a job, but I just don't know how to go about it with all my issues. Before my husband passed away he coddled me and did almost everything for me, when he passed I felt I might as well die too because I really felt like I lost half of me, and that was the half that took care of me. He would always say, "that's okay honey, there are lots of people like you, you're okay", so I never thought beyond about "what's wrong with me?", now I see there is something wrong with me, but I just don't have the funds to find help. Everything in America charges for everything. But for now I'm grateful I discovered the mask lol. I hope you find your correct diagnosis. Keep searching. To me you are awesome because you at least have the confidence to create this channel so you can bring in an income and take care of yourself. You are amazing.

Perhaps finding a therapist who specializes in mindfulness but not necessarily binge eating disorders could be a good start to identifying a new therapist given the difficulty in finding a therapist who only specializes in binge eating disorders?
Great comment. CBT therapy is based in this. Would be a good fit
Yall have the cutest stuff in your stores there!
Same!!! It can be rough.
@Maureen Smith Keep up the great work! 😊
We love you no matter what Tammy!!
I have autism and was diagnosed at 4 years old I relate to a lot of what you said and my advice for the weight loss is to lose weight in little parts and focus on your present
My daughter is 7. She was diagnosed at age 5. 80-90% of women with autism go undiagnosed! Please follow your heart. Do some tease arch and talk to your dr. They can get you a referral to “rule it out” or get the diagnosis!!
Creators: The aspire world is a great person to look into! He taught me so much!!! As did the you tube channel:Autism from the inside are both great channels to check out and really listen to it from someone with autism.
Hope these resources help in some way! God bless momma Lenon!❤
Excellent video! hang in there Tammy, you're doing wonderful things for yourself keep in up. btw you're looking amazing! 😘
Stefan's Mustache is 🤌 #Mustache appreciation😊
I'm from Poland.. completely agree with you on the bread comment lol. We eat alot of bread
Your hair is so beautiful 🥰
That pillow was cute as hell but you can make a better one forsure!✨🍋
You look great Tammy!❤ Your skin looks gorgeous!
Tammy...I feel bad about things like this..love to you Tammy💗💗💗
I too have that problem that if I notice something on my clothing or something not right in a room I can only focus on it and it makes me feel like I'm less until I can change what I am wearing again. It's the worst if I am out and cannot change I've even gone so far to stop into a store and buy like the exact same color shirt and change even if its to just go home in.
The stir fry looked so good! Did you say that you dated a girl? 👀 you are still going strong on your weight loss!! Hi to Stephan!
I love all your videos ❤😊
I love your giraffe and bird-beautiful!
Good points
I ve seen autistic kids with selfharm attitude, chewing their fingers/arms till blood, non verbal, in diapers for the rest of their life. There is nothing wonderful in autism! And its growing each day all around the world!
I have no idea what backwards country you live in...but you assume this is a thing in many places, and making the claims you're making, with literally nothing to back it up, is really ridiculous.
Home Depot carries building supplies.
That basket is adorable!!
Stuff will always happen. It’s how you cope with them is key!!!
You’ve got this Tammy🙏🏻🕊🌸♥️🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋
Depot, as in Home Depot, means a storehouse or warehouse. Not deposit. 🧡
I want to get tested for autism as well. Where is this specialist center? Btw the chicken at the Aldi is so much cheaper than the chicken at the AH
Tbh I thought you already had the diagnosis 😅 🥰
She had it. But she's gonna be doing other tests with another specialist. Her first therapist diagnosed her as she said in her video.
@Irene Bernardi It wasn't an official diagnosis, you can't diagnose someone after one test. It's an INDICATION that there may be autism.
You seem fine to me.
I was recently diagnosed with autism in January at 27years old 😊 it’s fascinating how so many of us women get diagnosed so much later in life than boys. We mask so much lol ❤ Good luck Tammy! ❤
Congratulations on your weight loss. It's funny because the Dash and Food Panda (food deliveries) here in Manila ride bikes or motorcycles also. There are ranges of Autism, if you have it I would assume you're very end of the spectrum. Let us know how the test turn out. Good luck.
That meal looked delicious 🤤
💜💜💜💜
Look up the chronic illness spoon theory ❤
Your shirt is an easy fix with iron on web tape. UA-cam video available for the method. 🍋
Or Tammy can put an appliqué over the hole, maybe in a shape of a flower, a cat, or a lemon. It will make your sweater look even better.
I love your plushy💗💗💗💗
You're lucky you can spend days doing whatever you like. If you would go to work then you'd not spend so much time doing these. Please be appreciative that folks let you live your way. Lots are depressed, trying to pay bills and buy food, deal with weight issues. Hard to understand how you view it as having it so hard.
Lucky? She's literally MENTALLY ILL. Yes she's functional enough most times that she can vlog, but being at home bc of mental illness isn't a damn vacation.
WTF with this comment. People are rootless! She's ill, asshole! She's even editing and filming, she's working!
I'm sure that Tammy is VERY appreciative to be blessed with such a job. The thing that is hard for her is living with mental illnesses, which is incredibly difficult, and I think she tries her best with the career that she has (i.e. UA-cam.)
Maybe you should try not being so judgmental. Her “job” is literally UA-cam, so she works hard at it just like other people do in “regular” jobs. I don’t get the people who come on this channel just to shit on her. Do you enjoy it?
Het is weer 1 grote klaagzang
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ik ben geholpen bij tactus voor binge eating disorder. Misschien kun je kijken of dat in jouw buurt ook is
❤️✌🏻🍋

💙💚💛 tammy is getting beyond a joke now with her need to feel different and special , it really is cringe worthy 💛💚💙
Please be careful with the tulips, they are very toxic to cats
Makes me nervous theyre sniffing them 🥺
OMG
I am quite sure (if you watched this video) that the last thing she needs is people making here paranoid around here life . The cats were only sniffing the tulips , they're just fine . She takes care of them just perfectly.
@@darkeden1874 Paranoia would be something not based on reasonable facts. This is just a friendly word of caution, not a demand. I was spreading awareness for common hazards, not at all suggesting she did anything wrong.
Any comments r just to caution Tammy, I love Tammy think she’s a wonderful cat mama but she may not b aware of the dangers of this flower honest mistake
sounds like asperger. But I’m not a doctor. all the best❤
She? Are you bisexual? (It’s none of my business so just excuse my nosiness if you don’t want to answer )
ha making a little hole in my shirt can annoy me too, but not as much as you perhaps.
Try meditation to stop focusing on the small things
I love those socks.
Wait... "she?" Is Tammy gay? Has she ever talked about that before? I must've missed it, if she did.
no idea but I don't think she's gay as she (kinda recently?) dated men. maybe bi?
@@chapa2282 That's right. There's Stephan, too... I think that's why I was caught off guard with the "she." I guess it wasn't in my head because I knew about him (even though, I admit, I forgot when I wrote that question lol).
Lots of people have OCD. Common.
Hi Tammy you feeling drained after being in crowd of people or after being around people or in places could be a sign your an empath. It drains you and feels like you need to get away and recharge❤
Talking too much over stimulates me.

Why so much bread in every video..naked bread at that
