Jesus Is Enough is a ministry dedicated to sharing the stories of ex-Mormons who have discovered the peace and hope that comes from trusting in Jesus alone.
We believe that Jesus is enough and want you to experience the joy and freedom of a relationship with him.
We don’t need anything else besides Jesus to be saved. We don’t need to perform good works, follow specific rules, or receive special authority from a church. We don’t need additional scripture or complicated teachings.
All we need is Jesus. Jesus is enough.
    #jesusisenough #exmormon #ExMormonTestimony
Within the confines of his Mormon faith, Braden struggled with feeling that his efforts were never sufficient. Yet, through his discovery of the biblical gospel, he encountered a profound truth: in the face of his imperfections, Jesus stands as his perfect sufficiency. This epiphany became the bedrock of Braden's renewed faith and confidence in the simple yet profound message that Jesus alone is enough for him.
Braden's quest for belonging and understanding of his place in life and eternity was fraught with challenges. Raised in an environment where perfection was not just encouraged but expected, he often felt overwhelmed by a sense of inadequacy. This struggle cast a shadow over his emotional and spiritual well-being.
However, a pivotal transformation unfolded as Braden delved into the Bible. The darkness that once seemed insurmountable began to recede, replaced by the light of Christ's presence. By embracing the truth that his insufficiencies are fully covered by Christ's sufficiency, Braden found new hope and identity. Freed from the endless search for acceptance, he now knows that his value and belonging are firmly rooted in his relationship with Christ.
In Christ, Braden has found answers to his deepest questions and fears, turning them into a vibrant hope that is firmly anchored in Jesus.

Thank you Braden for your powerful sharing of Biblical truths. This episode shows how God is constantly at work using believers to share the message of the free gifts God provides through what Jesus did for the world. Yes, Jesus is enough. Praise and glory to God for the plan of salvation that gives faith as a gift so that believers can be certain of peace with God now.

Thank you so much for sharing! Very similar experience! I met my husband who was not Mormon. He was a Christian and I felt so deeply that he was the one for me. I can say God planted my husband as a seed for me. I just knew my husband loved the Lord and had a good heart, and I would never be able to find someone like him again. I forever praise God for opening my eyes to the true gospel of Jesus Christ! I praise God that I married my husband. I do not regret that decision one bit! It has lead me to the true Gospel and help me find who God truly is!

@@michaelparks5669 Good observation, and thank you for sharing. Were you referring to the book of Revelation? There, Jesus says, "He that overcometh..." multiple times, but it's important to look at the context in which it was written and look at the context of the whole Bible.
The messages to the seven churches in Revelation chapters 2 and 3 contain exhortations and promises to those who remain faithful to Christ amidst persecution and challenges. Through Christ's sacrifice and resurrection, believers have already overcome the power of sin and death. Overcoming in Revelation is about living out from this victory in the face of persecution and false doctrine. The phrase does not mean that Jesus was putting requirements on the believers; rather, he wanted them to keep trusting and believing in him even when it was hard.
While Jesus did not directly say, " I am enough," he did say:
      - "It is finished." (John 19:30)
      - Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)
      - "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
The book of Hebrews also teaches that Jesus was sufficient. "And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all."
Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.

Jesus did establish his church and it really did have apostles and prophets leading it. It wasn't just a bunch of individuals having personal relations with Jesus but not fellowshipping with other believers and it was not set up so every believer could have their pet doctrines while pretending to be in a bigger world church of scattered believers that had nothing in common.

We started to study the Bible together and she invited me to come to church with her. The pastor was going through Romans, Hebrews, Ephesians. Ephesians 2: 8-10 by Grace you are saved. Isn't saying over and over "Jesus is enough" just a form of brainwashing? I mean, it's empty. Jesus taught us a lot of things and a lot of Christians so called ignore a lot of what he said because he is enough. You guys would belittle lds members for believing and going to their temples because in your mind, Jesus is enough so we don't need those and yet going to the temple was the very thing Jesus did everytime he went to Jerusalem.
The Apostles kept going to the temple too, they preached the full Gospel they didn't just carry a silly slogan "Jesus is enough" they challanged their aufmdience to do more than believe, they challanged them to repent, be baptized etc. Those that did follow them kept going to the temple, but you guys knock Mormons for going to the temple because Jesus us enough.
News flash, for nearly 2000 years most Christians have been married in a church, not on the beach. It's only a fairly newage practice for some Christians to get married right on the beach.

      1) Evangelicals are not Christians. They are reformed Catholics
      2) Holding on to the Niceane creed and other Catholic creeds while pretending to embrace Sola scritura is dishonest
      3) when you say Jesus is enough you are trying to imply that Mormons are not accepting God's grace when we first believe, this is nonsense, we simply emphasis that this is not all God requires of us and there is more to do. The self righteousness of you guys saying Jesus is enough is evident in the fact that you hold worship services for people you assume have accepted Christc and are already saved, you have communion in your churches though each church does it there own way etc. You have all these extras but knock on us for having things the such asctemples and forms of worship actually prescribed in the Bible.
Plus, you use Jesus is enough as an excuse to not do good works you could and should do. If you see an old lady crash on the ground, helping her up has nothing to do with your salvation, so your good work is optional. You could just leave her to die based on your "Jesus is enough" theology

I agree. In LDS theology, Jesus Christ was the creator of the earth and all things in it. This makes Him ever more qualified to atone for the sins of His followers. This also makes Him the most qualified to judge them. It is presumptive at best to assume that we know all who Jesus desires to save. To disqualify individuals who we don't know their heart and personal relationship with the Savior, just because they understand hand-picked scripture differently than we do.
I am grateful for all testimony and conviction towards Christ, and respect and learn from that conviction.
Peace be unto you and joy that comes through the relationship we both share with Christ.

@@TheSocstar I agree that Jesus is the Creator of the world and all that it is in it. Since the beginning, Jesus has been God with no beginning and no end, which the John 1:1 passage points out. In John 1:3 we see, "Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made." This passage stands out to me because it everything was made through Jesus, then Jesus himself could not have been made.
I don't think it is presumptive to know who Jesus desires to save. Jesus said in Luke 19:10 that he came to seek and save the lost, and in John 3:16-18 we hear that God loved the entire world, but that those who do not believe stand condemned. If you mean that we do not know who are saved, it's true that we cannot see into individual hearts, but in 1 Samuel 16:7 we hear that God doesn't look at outward appearances, but at the heart. However, while we cannot see into hearts, we do know that unbelievers are disqualified.
May I ask which Bible passages you think are handpicked?
I do think our relationship with Christ is different. Jesus is not my example that I follow to gain righteousness. Jesus is my substitute who takes away my unrighteousness and gives me his own perfect righteousness so that I stand without fault before the Father.

As a fellow former Mormon, I too remember the moment, as if it is happening again NOW, when the flood of living water ran through me as I said out loud, "Oh, my goodness! Jesus Christ IS God!! God the Father created Himself in the flesh as Jesus Christ... and HE sacrificed HIMSELF for me!!!" Of course, my story of leaving the LDS Church was complicated and multi-faceted, as are they all, but again, that singular moment will forever be forged as one of the most memorable. It is proving to be difficult, and somewhat lonely, to be a firm believer in Jesus Christ, as an ex Mormon. It is devastatingly sad to me that the majority who have left become atheist or agnostic, and horribly bitter to ever finding the REAL Jesus Christ. I am so grateful to have found this channel. @sEnough4You Unfortunately that's not the full truth. A testimony of Jesus alone isn't enough because in order to accept Jesus you have to also accept his servants that he sends. Its not just only about Jesus, but involves also his servants and also involves his Father who had Sent him. The Saints get to know Jesus when they obey the voice of his servants. But there will be those in the last days who say they know Jesus but who don't obey the voice of his servants that the sends or had rejected his servants so they don't really know him. They will say, Lord, Lord, let us in Jesus you are enough.... And he will say,to them YOU KNEW ME NO,T, you did not obey the voice of my servants when I sent them, you rejected their counsel when I gave it for "whether it is by my own voice or by the voice of my servants IT IS THE SAME." D&C 1 And because of that truth is why I know that Zion is indeed the Lord's Kingdom here upon the earth with him speaking his voice through his servants the prophets because Amos and Joel both prophesied that in the last days the Lord's voice will be ROARING his voice from out of Zion and from Jersualem to all the nations.

    • @germanslice
      @germanslice 4 місяці тому

@@JesusIsEnough4You Answer is found in Amos 3:7. The Lord's Servants are his prophets.
I know this to be true because the Lord will do nothing without his servants the prophets and that's why the foundation of the church is built up on the prophets and apostles or in other words, an apostolic council. (Ephesians). Paul did not run the church by himself.
Without the prophets the saints cannot be made perfect. as explained in Ephesians.
And I know this to be true because at the end of the day, the saints were given their rewards and the prophets were also present wit the saints receiving their rewards also from the Lord. Rev 11:18 'Thou givest thy reward unto thy servants the prophets and to the saints"
So the saints and the prophets work together.

I've been a Christian my whole life and you would call me a "Mormon" because I have been baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and believe in the Bible and Book of Mormon plus a lot of other things.
We in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints give fellow Christians the benefit of being called Christian because you accept Jesus Christ as the Son of God, our Savior and Redeemer. But protestants and Catholics are not the true Christian church thatcwe read about in the Bible. For example:
"18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it" (Matthew 16:18)
That church was specifically organized with apostles. When an apostle died, others were called to take their place. For example, Acts 1, Matthias replaces Judas. Catholics and Orthodox claim their authority came as bishops replaced apostles but that's not Biblical. Bishops were local leaders not Apostolic leaders. Protestants came about after more people began reading the Bible and seeing things not being done right by the Catholic church, but their efforts were to reform the church not restore the church Christ originally established. Then they adopted Sola scritura as their guide, but that's not consistent with the Bible. Most have erroneously accepted the last verses in the Revelation of John to mean no additional scripture but John was warning against adding to and taking words out of the Revelation he was writing seeing many Christians so called in that day were in the habit of altering scriptures. The Revelation itself is only the last book in the Bible because it was the last accepted by the Catholic church.
Final note, anyone who says they grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who claims they read John 1:1 the first time was at an Evangelical meeting is scamming people. We read John just as much as the next Christian and frankly more.

Well congratulations! Your girlfriend now wife put a Book of Mormon in the freezer and told you your beliefs were stupid and not in the Bible. If they actually reflected true LDS doctrine, then they are in the Bible.im the opposite from the guy in the video up to a point, my family joined the church but before that we were going to an Evangelical church, and guess what, Jesus was not enough, that's what they tell us Mormons but there is always something extra for you to do.
But let's examine lds teachings and see if they are in the Bible:
      1) Jesus in Gethsemane, that's a pet peeve for many Evangelicals, the whole atonement took place on the cross, the Bible says so. But they are wrong. "By his stripe we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5) Jesus was whipped before going on the cross
After Jesus resurrection, he ascended to Heaven, the very first act the Apostles did was:
"52 And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:
53 And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen." (Luke 24:52-53)
After Pentacost when many joined with the Apostles, the kept the Apostles doctrine:
"42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
      44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved." (Acts 2:42-47)
In every instance where other Christians quote Paul as to God not dwelling in temples made with hands, he's not discounting the Tabernacle and Temples God actually commanded to be built and that Christ visited each time he went to Jerusalem, Paul was referring to their pagan temples where they believed their pagan gods did dwell.

When I was a child my mom dumped me off with my grandma when I was 6 months old. My grandma was a true believer in Jesus Christ and so for as far back as I can remember, I was baptized a Christian and so I was a Christian from that day to today and I’m now almost 60yrs old.
However my life took a horrible turn at the age of 8yrs old! My mentally and physically abusive and an atheist mother came back for me! I remember crying as this woman I didn’t even know (I knew she was my real mom) just took me away from my loving grandma.
The thing that changed my mothers mind to not let me stay with my grandma was because she had met a man who wanted children but due to a war injury, he couldn’t have kids! So my mom tells him, “Well, I have a daughter”. Thank God he too was a Christian! So he and I would talk about God and Jesus while my mother wasn’t home. I told him, Daddy my heart is longing to go back to church. I forgot to mention, he adopted me the same year my mom took me from my grandma and marring my mom. My poor grandma took my mother to court trying to get me back however, the judge told my grandma “Do you see yourself as an unfit babysitter?” And of course my grandma said NO! So the judge ruled for my mom because he said to find my mother unfit, she would have left me with an unfit person. Back in the early 70s children were always told to sit down shut up and IF you were being physically and or mentally abused, it was because the child was misbehaving!
So, a year went by and at school I met all kinds of children from baptist, Catholics, nondenominational, and the even a couple of mormons! So, I would go with one friend to a baptist Church, another friend to a Catholic church so I got all these different ideologies. Talk about confusing. But even at nine years old every night, I still knelt next to my bed and prayed to Jesus, just like my grandmother had taught me. You may know the prayer? It’s starts, I lay my head down to sleep for the lord my soul to keep. I’m sure I botched that I know there’s more to it. But out of all the churches that I went to, I never felt an evil presence until the day I went to a Mormon church. Now you have to remember at this particular time I’m only 10 years old. The whole time I am in the church no I take that back a church bus picked us up and it just didn’t feel right. I don’t know how to say it in words it was just a feeling a 10 year old had. I felt nervous anxiety, and I had never Ever felt this way at any other church ever! And then we got to the church and I didn’t feel God‘s presence I felt something so evil, again I can’t explain it I was only 10 years old. I just knew that there was something wrong. I had been to so many different churches, and I had never felt, like I was sitting next to Satan before! This Sunday I ONLY felt evil. It felt more to me like a cult and at 10 years old. I didn’t even know what a cult was so that’s why I couldn’t explain in my heart why I was feeling the way I was feeling. It wasn’t until I got older and the Jim Jones thing happened in Guyana with all those poor members that made me realize oh my that’s what it felt like. Plus one of the men at the church because girls weren’t allowed to wear pants. We had to wear dresses at this church, and one of the men put his hand on my leg and he kept putting his hand higher up, higher up and higher up until finally I got up and I moved. The best thing my mother ever taught me was about SA! And I might add at a very young age, but she was raped when she was 16 by her own uncle, so she didn’t want the same thing to happen to me. All the signs to watch for the grooming all of it I knew this man was trying to get to my private part. Now this was at the probably the last 15 minutes at the end of the church. Now you may say it because that happened to you is why you feel that way no that’s not true because like I told you before I felt, something wasn’t right when I got on the bus even before we got to the church! Never estimate a child’s intuition or how Jesus protects and shows things. So I knew something just felt wrong. I never went back, but I did keep going to the other churches, and I ended up in my teens and now I’m still a Christian going to a wonderful church and my 8 year old grandson NEVER misses a Sunday going with me! He’s 8 years old, lives with his mom (my daughter) and his Dad. But I know every Saturday night he will call me and ask are we going to church tomorrow lol! I can almost sit my clock to it! I LOVE he’s a mini me!

I will never forget the moment i learned of the church. I know it is true. I know that when i died dec 4,2022 for 20 minutes....i learned that the gospel is true, i was pointed to the lds church. I know that God knows that the Holy Bible is not the full and only word of God and i know that he knows that the Bible is made up of "words written by some prophets" but it's not the entirety of the words spoken to the prophets and God has a plan far greater than heaven and hell which is not even his creation from what i learned of...God did not create hell... that's a pagan construct. I do not care if anyone believes this but the video randomly showed up, and i felt obligated to mention that just because someone else has a change of faith.... it does not mean they are correct for doing it... it just means they found a different end goal.... the plan is much bigger than pointing fingers.
Ohhh and i highly doubt this guy was ever lds.... he said things that are not in line with lds teachings... if he was a member, how did he not know some basic every Sunday teachings.

I grew up evangelical and converted to lds..... and when i did, my evangelical friends and family disowned me.
They harrassed me, beared false witness against me, my mother told me to pick her or the church.... after i did that....i found myself homeless after working an entire summer away from home. My bank account was depleted (which i soon realized it was from my family who had gained access to my account via debit card when i was away from home working)....i came home from working to have no money, no home, no vehicle as my truck was purposely vandalized, after getting the police involved, i discovered that my old youth group had snuck out and put bb's in my engine oil. The churches youth pastor had encouraged them to do it because he told them that i needed to really feel the wrath of God or i would be doomed to hell.
After all that hate against me for joining the lds church, i found myself not even believing that anymore and i turned to atheist and denied anything about Jesus.
I was anti all religion because all religion teaches for themselves and their own pride, when they get someone to join them, it boosts their own ego
On dec 4th 2022, i died for 19 minutes and 43 seconds to be exact, while at work on the way back after work. I was hit head on by a drunk driver going 75 and i was going 62....... what occurred in those 19 minutes 43 seconds, i learned that the Bible is not the full word of God and those who use scripture to justify their theology are subject to following man. What i learned as truth then, led me to follow lds theology.... and i no longer read any books because i know that a book is not above Jesus. What i learned in this 19 minutes and 43 seconds is that i will never be an evangelical... and my lds faith is actually what Jesus taught before the Bible was revised with 30,000+ translations.

@@JesusIsEnough4You you are distorting the truth there, we don't add our own works to gain salvation. We do have to do the works Jesus and his apostles have taught us to do. No I'll give you, you being baptized Evangelical won't save you, but that's not because baptism is unnecessary, it certainly is, Jesus taught it, but Evangelicals don't have the authority to perform baptisms the same as John did. And yes our church teaches that being saved means more than physical resurrection. But even in Evangelical circles there is debate about the position a person will receive in Heaven based on their deeds. One pastor I spoke to said we are saved by our belief in Christ but that our position in God's government is determined by our efforts. There are also strong differences between "Salvation" "Sanctification" "Redemption" and "Exaltation" even debated by various Evangelical circles.
There is even significant debate in Evangelical circles in regards to works and if they apply to keeping commandments at all. Some go so far as saying God's grace is sufficient to any who accept Christ even if they live an LGBTWQ lifestyle for example, others take exception to that.
The reality is I don't believe we in ourselves can be perfect without Christ but I also don't believe I can shift it all on him, and then run out and chase hookers and expect eternal life.

@@brannonburton5494@brannonburton5494 Part of the confusion is that Bible-Only Christians and LDS do not have the same definitions of the words "salvation" and "grace." Salvation includes everything that God has to give. When Jesus redeemed us, not only did he give us physical resurrection, but he also gave us full, free, unconditional forgiveness; he perfectly restored our relationship with God, and he covers us with his perfect robe of righteousness. Grace is defined as unconditional love. None of these blessings are conditional on what we do (or learn).
The LDS church puts many conditions on eternal blessings. Here is a quote from Russell Nelson. "Eternal life, or celestial glory or exaltation, is a conditional gift. Conditions of this gift have been established by the Lord, who said, “If you keep my commandments and endure to the end you shall have eternal life, which gift is the greatest of all the gifts of God.”13 Those qualifying conditions include faith in the Lord, repentance, baptism, receiving the Holy Ghost, and remaining faithful to the ordinances and covenants of the temple. Thank you for asking these questions and including scripture. Without understanding the Bible, God’s own word, we don’t have the truth!
Revelation 20:13 certainly does talk about being judged by works. But context is vital. The “dead” who are being judged by their works are unbelievers. We know this because the believers were already raised at the beginning of the chapters.
In the final chapters of Revelation, the dichotomy is between the wicked and those who have their name written in the Book of Life (21:27) and the bride of the lamb (21:9)
The final chapters of Revelation don’t contradict verses like Ephesians 2:8, "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God." Rather, they reinforce the need for the gift so that we can escape the horrors of being judged by our own works.
Matthew 7:21 seems to contradict itself at first. Those who are pleasing to the Lord have done “good” things (prophecy in your name, drive out demons, miracles), but the Lord says, “I never knew you,” and calls them evildoers. So, then, what is “the will of the Father?”
John 6:40: "For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day."
John 6:29: "Jesus answered, 'The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.'"

Truth is that members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints fully agree that man is not sufficient and only thru Christ can salvation be achieved. However nominal Christians have thrown away the only way to have a full and complete relationship with Christ which is to enter into a covenant relationship with him by being baptized by proper authority and entering into higher and holier covenants thru the Gift of the Holy Ghost, Sacrament and the Temple. The shortcut offered by nominal Christianity will yield a lesser salvation, not a fullness of salvation. Don't cheat yourself by thinking all is done by offering "the sinners prayer"!

Sounds like A LOT depends on you to have a full and complete relationship with Christ. Do you believe that you are sufficient to receive the fullness of salvation?

@@JesusIsEnough4You Jesus plan of salvation is sufficient but I need to follow his plan. You claim that works aren't required for salvation yet you require a non biblical formula to be followed to receive salvation, i.e., "The Sinners Prayer" or similar. That is a work! The true work required of us is found in Acts when Peter declaired on the day of Pentecost: "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." 3 thousand souls were converted that day and then continued steadfastly in the apostles doctrine. I suggest you view some of Davis Alexander's videos, a man who came out of 47 years in Evangelical Christianity into the glorious light of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, assuming you are willing to humble yourself as a little child and be taught pure doctrine!

This is silly. Jesus is sufficient for salvation and the LDS believe that. But Jesus gets to set the terms. He paid for that right. If this dude couldn't get that while in the Church then that's on him.

What do you mean by "Jesus gets to set the terms?"
Also, it might be helpful to clarify that when Braden speaks of salvation; he is not just referring to physical resurrection. He is referring to everything (full free forgiveness, full reconciliation with God, life eternal with God, etc).

Brother, John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the WORD WAS WITH WITH WITH GOD, and the Word was God. Meaning Jesus Christ the God of the heaven and Earth. Matthew 12:6. MeanING Our Father in Heaven. MOSIAH 26:29 LUKE 15:7 ACTS 17:30 ECCLESIASTES 7:3. I have went through the same problem. My friend, the church of Jesus Christ of latter day. Saints is the church. When that apostle or whoever spoke to you told you to search for THE higher power. He was talking about searching the scriptures. And letting the spirit teach you. I had to do the same thing. Investigate again. So that you can spend eternity with your wife. Please reach out if you ever need to talk or want to talk.Have a great day.

I would absolutely encourage anyone with questions to search the Bible for answers. The Bible is where I have come to understand who Jesus truly is.
(FYI, this is not Braden responding. I am a member of the ministry team.)

That's a nice story, but you believed things we don't believe in. We are saved by grace. Your local youth group was trying to make service a competition it probably was well meaning even if they're wrong...
The Bible doesn't contain any of the creeds that Christianity bases their understanding of God on. You should have asked where the creeds that she believes in are in the Bible.
The Book of Mormon teachings are all over the Bible. These aren't difficult issues to overcome. This is a pretty sad story when you dig in from our prospective.

LDS and biblical Christians do not understand the phrase "saved by grace" in the same way. There articles will help explain some of the core differences and why they matter.jesusisenough.org/jesus-isnt-enough-vs-jesus-is-enough/
