It was very disturbing to hear many friends and family say that they were voting for Obama because it was going to be an historic election where the first black man would become president. I urged them to look at his voting record in the senate. It was frightening. Citizens in this country need to stop voting for candidates because they are handsome, good speakers, first woman or anyone because of their race or ethnicity. It is your civic duty to study the issues and vote for the candidate who most closely aligns with your position on the issues. If the press was honest they would have revealed questionable information about Obama. The real disaster is that people re-elected him for a second term.

It was very disturbing to hear many friends and family say that they were voting for Obama because it was going to be an historic election where the first black man would become president. I urged them to look at his voting record in the senate. It was frightening. Citizens in this country need to stop voting for candidates because they are handsome, good speakers, first woman or anyone because of their race or ethnicity. It is your civic duty to study the issues and vote for the candidate who most closely aligns with your position on the issues. If the press was honest they would have revealed questionable information about Obama. The real disaster is that people re-elected him for a second term.
