Been getting asked a lot to make something like this. Can certainly adjust based on what items you have, but this shows you the foundations of how to go fast in a CM even without megarares or kirby skip, while also doing a small quick prep. If you don't have claws or voidwaker it's fine can skip it. The big thing is inventory management and banking, so with a different set-up you can try even writing down what you're gonna bank in notepad just to remember what to do at each bank part, once you got it figured out you're chilling. Note I believe this run had 2 anvil tekton, and 2 teleport vasa, both quite unlucky, so even with bad rng if you play well you'll be fine. If you have shadow or tbow that'll save quite a bit of time and give you even more time to spare in mistakes. Note: at 20 minutes in I coulda just overloaded and then ran up to vasa, rather than waiting for my overload to wear off, since vasa teleport does all my hp anyways minus 5.
How do u get the clickbox or object marker at vesp portal? I tried doing it with better npc hilights and npc indictors and it doesn't even have an npc id for radius markers... I got its tile marked somehow but thats it. Thanks for the video
going for my own GM hilt and you uploading this right now is super helpful, just got done with solo cox gm time yesterday, looking forward to finishing cm soon
This is great! Could you please tell me how you got your boosts icons + the decimal numbers (like overload time left) - plugin name and/or setting in runelite?
Sure, better overload is the plugin I believe that got me the overload with decimal values, here's a pic with my settings i.imgur.com/lexyq8S.png Lemme know if that gets it sorted
thank you so much for the comprehensive guide! I’ve been struggling to get the gm time with close to max gear and I haven’t figured out where I am losing the large portion of my time. I also haven’t hit the gm time for regs, so I’m not quite sure what I’m doing wrong, it could be that I’m brewing down too much at olm as I struggle to look at my ovl timing when doing shadow method.
but the notes you have put up on the screen are so helpful in trying to speed up banking! if it’s possible, could you show some notes for how to handle floor 3 with shadow? sometimes I die to mutt as I only have space for 4-5 brews and no purple sweets to tick eat big mutta. thanks!
For voidwaker on vasa I recommend putting the body/legs switch as your 5th/6th switches if you're not comfy making full switches, as they're less impactful if you miss them (torture = +10 str, infernal cape = +8). That's ~4-5 max hits gained per spec over BCP + tassets.
Good call! Funny enough I intended to do the full switch in the run while recommending people just do a partial switch, but realized with the 4-tick bofa I just didn't have the time to pull it off compared to with 5-tick tbow lol.
How do you not get blasted for 8 brews at muta? I’ve been shadowing big muta & shamans and bringing full masori buckler and Dhcb for the faster head phase (as opposed to full crystal and BofA and using at all three areas). Think robes are just too weak defensively for big muta?
It's easier to tell if you tag the boss like I Have, but basically if you stand in melee distance of vespula while it's in stinging mode it hits big damage on you, but if you stand under vespula you take small hits. So you need to be careful to never run into melee distance of Vespula while it's in stinging mode, you'll see I always run to the tile that puts me with a 1 tile gap away from Vespula when I run out.
Hey Kirby/chat, if you have both claws & vw which is better overall?. also if you have a tbow but not a shadow what would you recommend using for the muta? 3way mage switch like the ol' days I guess? great video lots of insight as always!
Bp for small mutt if you can fit in your setup Claws/vw both are good but I think vw clears bc it’s more consistent and can be used more throughout the raid (shaman, guaranteed at vangs, spec vasa, mystics, etc) Though I didn’t see Kirby I think is chopping Mutt vs zgs/freeze. So in that case I’d just take sang/occult (can use your book as an offhand or a fortified ward If you have an arcane- don’t think the reg is worth the invent space with the BotD) You can generally drop tassets as well if you want to bring another item, say VW and claws, bp, etc
Great video! If I’m rocking shadow with max mage (camping lightbearer) and masori with dhcb buckler, what should my inventory look like going into the third floor? I’m about 50 solos in and it seems like such an insane dps race for me to have enough brews to survive mutt. As of now I use dhcb+Vw for vasa and then I shadow mystics+baby mutt, and then dhcb momma mutt. Should I be bringing a blowpipe (amethyst darts) and just bank all my mage gear and blowpipe mystics and momma mutt? Sorry for the word vomit but it’s just been really aggravating me. Momma mutt is harder than olm lol.
@ tbh man DHCB seems so inconsistent on Mutt. What I’ve been doing instead is just bring crystal+Bowfa to use for last floor. I also bring DHCB and then bank bowfa for olm. But instead of using shadow for third floor I just use crystal+bowfa for Vasa+mystics+CM’s!
u reckon if you're grinding cms a zgs is worth the invent space? idk what the % chance for the spec to land is but is the potential time save worth risking? looks like you would end up having very few brews at the end IF zgs splashed so I'm guessing with your exact strats in this video the zgs is not worth
It's about a 55% to land both ZGS with bellator, 51% without bellator, around there. With tbow+shadow it's not too bad missing 1 ZGS, and you're very likely to hit at least 1 of them, but with bofa sang, in particular missing tbow for big mutta, it's very brutal if you miss the ZGS on big mutta. If you do have tbow+shadow tho, then missing 1 ZGS makes mutta comparable to chopping, but missing both makes it much worse, so you don't have much to lose in that case as it's very rare to miss both. However it's also easy to mess up the ZGS spec, in particular if you just barely deal enough damage to activate the tree eating phase and misjudge it, so for anyone just going for GM time it's most likely not worth the trouble. When ZGS lands on both mutta I'd estimate it's around a 20-30s time save, more with a low woodcutting level. If just going for GM time I wouldn't really go for ZGS unless you're really struggling and you feel like the extra brews would help, as you take quite a lot less damage compared to chopping if you hit both ZGS specs, since the mutta's get stuck looking at the tree for so long. If you're just looking for a little extra time save, well if you have tbow you shouldn't really need the extra 20-30s, and if you don't have tbow then missing the ZGS on big mutta is rip run, risking the entire run on 20-30s time save I'd say isn't worth it. If you are in max and pushing for fast consistent times though, I'd definitely do ZGS, even when you miss 1 it ends up being comparable to chopping after all, you can rarely get super screwed and have to tick eat big mutta, but that can happen while chopping as well to be fair so no real change there.
What should you do at Muttadile if you have twisted bow instead of a Bowfa setup, but no Shadow? Should I still bank all mage gear and melee baby mutta or should I bring minimal mage switches (occult, torm & sang)?
@@floyd5949 appreciate the quick reply man. i actually gave it a go right after i asked and i got spooned hits. cleared mystics super fast and got my gm time :)
Both 'CoX additions' and 'Monster HP Percentage' offer certain HP% overlays, I'd recommend using the latter as it's more flexible. Also quite useful for other NPCs (Akkha, Ba-Ba, Callisto, Zebak, Nex, etc.)
2:0 shadow is better DPS than sang still, so yea definitely fine. 1:0 scythe is a very big hit to dps though, gonna be losing 30-40s per phase depending if you hit hammer, for a total of 1:30-2:00 lost. So I suppose if the rest of your run is good enough to be pacing for a 36 minute time it'd be fine, having both tbow and shadow would certainly help with that. Also stam might be an issue if you 1:0 all of Olm, I guess you could bring an extra stam if needed. So basically, possible if you enter Olm around 26 or 27 minutes, so if you just really struggle with Olm but you have the rest of the raid down then it could be fine, but I'd really recommend learning 4:1 lance instead.
