This song is so special to me because of the great memorie i have. I was 13 years old when my father took me for the first time to a 'discotheque' called 'de vredeburg' in Belgium (peacebridge in English) And safety dance, was the first song i heard when i was entering the club, mouth and eyes wide open, looking at people who were dancing and the disco lights flashing around. My virgin young ears penetrated with a sound i never heard so loud and clean. It was the best experience i had at that time and it was for me a revelation, the love for synthesizer and electronic music was born. And all thanks to you dad. RIP.
A saw them a week ago in Ohio! The venue, #LudlowGarage, holds 450 people. There were about 200. Ivan Doroschuk sounds like he just stepped out of a time machine from 1982. His voice was on key and his banter with the audience made the show even that much more quaint. I have been to 13 concerts this year and i can actually say that Men Without Hats was the best show of My Summer Of Concerts!!
