Wow. Zvonareva's career is mesmerizing. After so many years, she's still scoring great results. Her longevity is undeniable. Such a pity she hasn't won any slams in singles. Her shots are very intelligent.
She played in Serena era if she played in iga era she could have won multiple slams.
Vera lost Year End Shampionship final to almost prime Venus, Wimbledon final to prime Serena and USopen final to prime Kim. Few months later she got injured, then again and then left top70 singles forever :(

Funny how you call it a weakling era, but Vera couldn't ever get it done, and she's somehow under-appreciated rather than just not that good. She wasn't ever all that in singles or we'd be talking about her accomplishments now. @@krishnakumar2390

Wow, considering that Coco & Pegula great singles players & became one of the best pair in the world, actually nr-1 in the world! And after 1 set i got a bit sad, cause i thought: How 39y.o Vera and Laura 35 y.o will overcome young powerful couple, who had a rest die to rain delay from Friday to Saturday leading 6-3 & 1-1, (i cheer for any Russian tennis player, but especially i remember great Russian women team from 00's. There were with Zvonareva, at least 10 playets who were in different years in top-10), so that comeback was great. They already jump higher they could, but hope they will restore their forces, cause they playing later today semis vs Hunter & Mertens who had a whole day rest.

Laura is the best double player nowadays, guys! Remember that. She is like from another space…and I am fan of Czech girls. But she is very very strong. Pity she has no partner in Deutchlad. Thinking about Olympic Games! What about Sasa?!?

Well done to the winners but honestly this is a blessing in disguise for Jessie, hope she uses the remaining time to rest well for the final. As to the naysayers, the girls simultaneously made the WTA finals in singles & doubles 2 years in a row. That’s an incredible achievement on its own.
