Jail in monopoly, at least how me and my family and friends played it, was a safe place. We were safe from stepping on another player’s expensive property for a turn or two lol
That's why the best monopolies are the east and north side. Even though they're the best that doesn't mean they're the only good ones. Almost every monopoly can be good and the most important thing is to build first and get 3 houses as soon as possible.
If Rik can finish the Oranges he'll probably win. The Oranges are usually the best properties to own in a 4 player game because of the frequency with which people go to jail. If Rik can't finish the Oranges, Ash will probably win, the Reds are easy to build on and give a great return.
I think only if he also gets the yellow finished up, for Ash. Controlling that side of the board up until the jail is more than Rik will have, even with oranges done. Otherwise, Price has the best chance to one shot, and Jas can perform death by 1000 cuts with her properties, since you're almost never safe from them. Railroads can be pretty brutal, especially with the potential for those Chance cards.

How ya doing, stumpt! After watching all of your Don’t Starve videos (which took me a week to finish) I decided watching your recent videos. You guys make good content, but I wish you guys could make a Don’t Starve Season 4?
The rule about buying property states that, when you land in a property that has no owner you can buy it, if you don't want to buy it, it goes to the auction so any other player can buy it.
also my family always played with free parking = jackpot, and we used to call the middle of the board/jackpot area the "kitty?" "kiddie?" (dunno never seen it written, honestly have never heard it used that way outside my families house Monopoly rules lol) But IMO, playing with the kitty > playing without it just spiced up the game way too much for just reg free parking to ever be an option haha also also, Rik my fam had that same "land on go $400" rule lol why we cant just leave the game alone lmaoooo
If Rik gets blue and orange blue cost 500 if land on with hotel and is cheap to build on and orange is 125 I think and can go up to 700 then he could get into a good spot being that most monopoly games people land on orange and blue a lot so yeah I think Rik will win
how did Jas think she had the least number of properties this entire game? She had 8 for the longest time, which is a quarter of the whole board, and yet she said that ash, with 5, has more property than her? She wanted 9 to leave Ash with 4? Am I missing something here? yeah, she had 5 utility properties, but... they still bring in a lot of money, without further investment cost
there are many kinds of games like this for example Monopoly - cheaters editon! = arguing for who took that fake 500 paper Monopoly - normal editon! = mom and dad having a devorce of them saying who pays who in the end we still hate eachother but in our heads
....they do realize that Rik's avatar was a Rabbid... basically extremely...weird cartoon rabbits (idk how to explain it search it up i guess) anyways...it makes sense that he was the first to go to jail xD
"since you cant build on railroads its not as big as the other properties" dude, RRs are the best Monopoly, 4 spots that are spread out with 200 rent for only 800 total; also the 400 rent from the cards is nice too
I know they're just playing for fun and probably haven't played Monopoly for years if at all, but trading a monopoly for just a Railroad and $50 hurts my soul. Watching this, I'm 100% convinced if they ever played this with ChilledChaos he would somehow win by turn 4.
(Looks at Stumpt Plays Monopoly; has horrific realization) Oh no... it's the game that Chilled and the Deep Crew glitched multiple times... In b4 Stumpy glitches it too. 0_0
Rik is competitive and talks trash, Price is competitive and salty, no one is going to win this game. Monopoly takes a VERY specific kind of laid back to be able to be fun and have winners.
I remember once when I was playing pokemon monopoly, I had a “death row” basically, any property on the last row. I had maxed out. I made somebody give me all their property in order to not get financially murdered by me.
MY GOD PEOPLE DON'T KNOW THE RULES TO MONOPOLY?? Jeezus. You buy the property, or the others can buy it at auction. There is no other option in the rules. People skip this rule, which is why they complain about the game lasting forever.
Most you new players or once in a while players trade wayyyyyyyy to early. Very bad mistake if you do that! The name of the game is called monopoly. You want to own as much property as you can in the whole game. The only time you trade is when you are trading for a complete color set. I'm telling you because say you're playing a 3 player game,, you have 1 pink, and 1 light blue, & your opponent has the same. 1 pink and 1 light blue. You don't trade just so you can have 2 pink, & your opponent can have 2 light blue, because here's the kicker. Say that 3rd opponent buys the last remaining pink & light blue, say that 3rd opponent owns the complete orange set, & red set, & yellow set. It doesn't matter if he even has just 1 complete color set. Point is that 3rd player DOES NOT have to trade you their pink or light blue, because they already own a complete color set. That's a monopoly. While you two decided to trade 1 pink for 1 light blue, and you both have 2 a piece for that color set. Your 3rd opponent is still owns the remaining pink & light blue cards, & yet he has all 3 orange. Again they don't have to trade, because they're the only 1 that has a monopoly of a color set. You might go around the board 5x without landing on orange, but eventually you'll land there, then you pretty much lost after landing there 2x or more, with no monopoly to show for it because you think you're being smart by trading 1 pink for 1 light blue. Another big mistake for example is you owning 1 yellow and 1 brown, and your opponent has 1 yellow and 1 brown. Trading your 1 brown for the 2nd yellow is a HUGE mistake because though be it they're the cheapest property on the board, they only need 2 browns to build hotels, and it's always the last property of the color that pays out the most. With a hotel on the 1st brown, $250. With a hotel on the 2nd brown, $450. All the way around the board last light blue, last pink, last orange, last red, last yellow, last green, last blue. They all payout the most, and it's because you never trade a monopoly for another monopoly. Trading at the very start of the game is the biggest rookie mistake!
Looks like they failed at overkill. The Android/iOS app looks and runs fantastic but this version looks like they tried to include all sorts of unpolished detail. It looks a bit like a DOS game the way elements are a little inconsistent yet showy. For example, a CGI-looking dog walks across a very flat-looking board while a gorgeously animated train passes by. The cards look artificial and flat like the board, like they're really 2D without any thickness whatsoever. It's a very good-looking game as long as you aren't paying attention to how it all fits together and makes sense. Feel free to check out the mobile game to see something that looks like everyone working on it was working toward a single vision, not three or four versions spread across pieces, board, animations, and cards.
The first time I ever played this game, I won with getting all the railroads because everyone kept landing on them and I was racking up money and did trade my money for props since they was low on money. Hehe
I have to argue the Sailor Moon being the best. As a monopoly game collector th best games have character pieces. Nightmare before Christmas is good, but villains monopoly has higher quality. The pieces don't wobble.

Well, it was mentioned that somebody would probably mention if there's a way to more easily go through adding money to trades, so, I'd hate to disappoint. ;) From the Steam discussions, it sounds like you can use the arrow keys to more quickly increase/decrease the amount of money after clicking the money bar. Quoted from the discussion in question: "Little late, but for others sake: Rather than spamming right click, press and hold the right arrow key on keyboard. It goes super quick. You have to click on the $ bar of the player first though of coarse."

Price, I don't think you understand what risk means. You're playing quite safe. I've been WAY riskier than that. Not that it always pays off, though...
statistically, 4 railroads are better than Boardwalk and Park Place. As for Colors, BEST 2 colors are Orange and Red. Second best are Yellow and Pink because they are statistically landed on more often.
I bought this game so that me and my kids could play so they could learn subconsciously how real estate purchasing works. Clever way to teach your kids with out teaching your kids...understand.
Usually, it's 3 doubles you go to jail. Don't know if that's an official rule, but it was one my family played with. We also played the free parking jackpot, having to make a full revolution of the board before you could buy anything, and landing on go gave you 400.
Haha, Rik going on about how giving Price the green monopoly is really spot on how my family sounds when I make deals, especially for railroads or the electric/water company 🤭 All the "Don't let her have them! Do you want her to win!?"
Wow, who trades park place for 2 stations? Even if u owned all 4 stations, landing on them 10 times will be equivalent to landing on broad walk with hotel once
