is the vacuum line attached to the wastegate supposed to have engine vacuum when running? This is the part that was disconnected at the other end in your video. I have the same behavior and P0299 code, I have no suction in that vacuum line withe car running. I also cannot tell where it is you plugged it in ( red circles). Where is that part, on the underside of the PCV components? Please help.
I connect with manifold suction side If you need to check suction, there is no need to drive the car Only remove the suction pipe and accelerate and check
@@faultcode my question is - suction side should be pulling vacuum at idle ? You should feel it sucking on your finger? - see your video at 3:57 mark -The tranlsator does a poor job of translating you there ( the rest is very good - thank you for your help)!
@@frmarullo he said at 7:55 that give the engine some revs when checking the pipe for vacuum. that’s because the wastegate actuator only closes when the engine revs up and gets more vacuum from the engine intake. it’s how the engine opens the wastegate when idle to stop turbo boost and closes wastegate to build boost then the pipe will have vacuum in it to move the actuator. let me know if you have questions.😊
