It’s good to see father’s working with their children. You certainly have done a good job raising your children and you continue to raise your children even through adulthood.😊
I didn't even have to watch the video to know I'd love it. The internet's greatest farming team is back at it! Great to see you all working together again. Always enjoy the dynamic and fun. Love ya'll!!!
It’s great to see Laura working with her Dad again- Its always a treat to see the two of you together- I do remember when that machine broke down- 👍👍 Two thumbs up to both of you-
Love seeing Laura back on the farm!! Love what you said to her in the cab of the Destroyer. Love to see more of the family in a group setting like a bbq or a trip to the river. Including Megan!!! Cale you and Laura working together is the reason I started following you both!!! I would love to drive the Destroyer!!!
Nice to see that Laura has time to visit, but she has said before that it is one of her favorite things to do. Cale and Laura have such a great dynamic when you work together. What I don't understand is why Laura always looks younger on your channel compared to her own, at first I thought it was some old clip.
You've done good , farming from within all the kin, I really appreciate your filming editing and the thought that yours and Lauras channels are allowing us to what feeds the economy.
I did not know that Laura was your daughter! I’m subscribed to her channel and had no idea. Love both you and hers farming channels and look forward to watching both in the future!
I learned about quick sand on the North Platte River west of Scottsbluff. Wearing 3/4 length irrigation boots I jumped onto a sandbar not realizing there was quick sand. Filled the boots clear up!
It would probably be pretty hard to find a better employee than Laura. You did a good job there Sir. I'm sure she still feels horrible about that engine blowing up even though it wasn't her fault .
Utmost respect for Laura, in all kinds of ways. Capable, responsible, intelligent, connecting, ... She does telegraph stress levels with the rosiness of cheeks. 😉😉 This is good!
Cool to see the team back together again! Happy Birthday Grant!! One question - is it just me or does that female corn have a lot of tassles? When I worked for Pioneer they had strict limits on % female corn with tassles and if there were too many, the field was condemned. Just curious...
I have been watching _Laura_ _Farms_ for years. She had mentioned her dad several times, but not the last year or two. Usually each farming task is obvious what it is for and why it is done. But this one is the most puzzling. Why does some corn need to be destroyed? How does one make it so that every fifth (?) row is male?
Laura has grown up from employee to middle management! Pepper the Cat and gauge are the new employees lol 😂 This wasnt covered in lauras video, but does the male chopper or another implement take off the top of the female corn plants? I noticed in her video the first row or so of females had the very top trimmed?
This is the best. Kind of funny how Dad let her do her thing. She did The best she could. I'm sure dad was reluctant To do all this Facebook Online stuff. This is Just the best... You guys are amazing.
Don't get me wrong I do kinda miss the videos of Laura and grant. It's¹ good. I'm sure it is. It's just such a difference between Dad and daughter. Bring it back to the farm.. Yeah it's tough. Yeah things break down. Let's show how we farm now.❤
@@beckyumphrey2626 i already knew the ultmate goal,,,,what my question was that you missed,,is,,,what does chopping these 2 rows do now,,,,what advantge or purpose is gained?? in this step,,,
It sounds like a wire problem a lot of times when those motors heat up it burns out the wire which makes sense when sometimes it runs and sometimes it just don’t the wires burn replace it
Happy b-day grant, ,and I give condolences to Susan’s family the CEO of UA-cam ,she passed away on Friday from lung cancer, praying for the UA-cam family’s and her family, thanks BigAl California praise Jesus Christ grace amen
How do you know that all grease points receive enough grease. When greasing by hand you can feel in it takes grease or not. Now you can only check if grease bubbles out or hear if it runs dry.
They are producing a hybrid seed crop for next year's planting. Two varieties have been planted in a 4:1 pattern. 4 rows of the "female" variety, and 1 row of the "males". The role of the "Male" plants is to pollinate the "Females". Once the deed is done, they chop them out so they won't compete for water and nutrient from the remaining plants, and won't be harvested.
What on earth would we do without our farmers? This kind of knowledge transfer is literally priceless. How on earth do we protect this transfer?
What a treat seeing Laura,
Like old times.
You must be a very proud father.

Like riding a bike. Been a while but she just took a little bit and it all comes back. Glad to see she can help at the home farm.
Great seeing Laura drop in to help. Get you some.DARNTOUGH socks. Lifetime warranty. They wear.out they replace.them. pricey but awesome.

Is she a good employee? One of the best! You have an awesome family.
Happy Birthday Grant
great pics this week and aerials of the pivot. When did pivot irrigation really take off in Nebraska?
No Mercedes engines were harmed in the making of this video.😁
As in MAN ...
Nice one. Thoroughly enjoyed! 😊
Thanks

Awww, his baby girl came home for a day of work 😊
You and Laura are my my favorite youtubers
Laura is the best! 😍
Your boys need to work harder 😯
JIM 😁
I was born and grew up in Tipton Indiana. Pioneer seed corn was big there. Pioneer had a sweet corn plot for employees.
Happy Birthday Grant🎉
Love the drone footage's! I would be lazy and use a drone to check on the pivots as much as possible..lol

Fun Times!
Laura is a good and hard working
Great video!
New sub here BTW. Your daughter is pretty special, of course, so are both of mine.
chopping 1/3 of the partial grown corn,,,,what is the purpose????
It is hybrid seed production...Google it.

Are you planting turnups and radishes at the same time you taking down the male corn?
I would have to say YES. Laura almost seems to be destroying better than you Cale but I am also slightly biased.
That Chopper turned into a disaster.
I love the smell of destroyed corn in the morning. Smells like victory!
Is cool to see Laura working with you.
It's
Seed corn then? I assumed this midwest corn was for feeding stock or maybe ethanol.
Is the "destroyer" also known as a detasseler? This is new to me. I read that they used to use teenagers to walk the fields and do it manually.
What a great family Cale.
When will we see you on Laura’s farm???
It sounds like a wire problem a lot of times when those motors heat up it burns out the wire which makes sense when sometimes it runs and sometimes it just don’t the wires burn replace it

So what happened to the old sprayer? i remember the video where it broke. Did the engine blow? did you have to replace the entire engine?
Laura are you not working with Grant anymore?
@4:52 the cab looked so much better.
At 20:40 I witnessed a glitch in the Matrix. 😆
what are you doing to the corn.never seen that done befor,
Like father like daughter!
Its good to see you with your dad again Laura. I miss see you 2 in the videos
Getting the irrigation going is just like washing a car. It's like seeding clouds......it was going to rain anyway.
Is that a deer stand/HOUSE at 18:46
How do you know that all grease points receive enough grease. When greasing by hand you can feel in it takes grease or not. Now you can only check if grease bubbles out or hear if it runs dry.
What is that machine for in the corn field?😊
Duluth is way too proud of their products. Happy birthday Grant.
Man you're dad One hell of a guy
Why do you cut the 2 rows down?
why do you cut off the corn ?

I was always a little worried for Grant’s sake, when Laura would say see loved destroying males!😂
Every man's nightmare: male chopper.
