Many years of research from Martin Kemp, Robert B. Simon, and Margaret Dalivalle have culminated with Leonardo's Salvator Mundi and the Collecting of Leonardo in the Stuart Courts, the definitive study on the re-discovered da Vinci masterpiece.
In this documentary the authors tell the story of Robert B. Simon’s rediscovery of the painting in a minor regional auction house in the United States. Martin Kemp explains the meaning behind the painting and compares the Salvator Mundi to Leonardo’s other works, including the Mona Lisa. Margaret Daleville explores the much-discussed provenance of the re-discovered Leonardo, and sheds new light on the documentation and storage of the world's most expensive painting.

This is very interesting all word than each of you are saying here and the careful research, sure the book is very interesting for to read, you are speaking about the possible position this was or location, the traseability since its origen, you are speaking about technics and perspective in the picture, but I am not listening, at less here, the great message intrinsic in this masterpiece.
In the moment than the autor is painting, in this case Leonardo, he is alone with his artwork, he is alone with their feelings, with their sensations, with their thoughts, with their emotions, and he not know what will be the destiny of this in the future, and not is thinking in this, he only in this moment is transferring something very deep from all his huge cosmos inside, because as we all know, Leonardo was ahead of his time, with a great perception in every way, and evidently very illuminated for God, and If well also we know than the magic of a picture is the subjectivity that each receptor can feel, the elements here are speaking in itself. For me is a great masterpiece with a great message, in where the dark background situating a Christ in first place, involve one great concern from he, joined with the same expression from the eyes of this magnificent visage, regarding with the focus in what Christ is transferring from their hands. The left hand, (from my vision) is saying TO ME, "pay attention in what I have in my other hand" , and the right hand is saying TO ME, "God is asking to the humans eternally for the care of the oceans", and this is a great message from Christ through of da Vinci, that makes me to fall a tear, due to the relevance of the water in all the construction that God was, scientifically and affectionately doing for the Planet. In other explanation out of this, one person was saying that the tunica behind the water it is not deformed for the effect it would give, and I want to add to this saying, that this is "not a drop", this is the whole Oceans of all the Earth.
I hope to see this magnificient masterpiece of Leonardo da Vinci, sometime in my life, and I hope the "Deep Message" from Leonardo go crossing all the paths of this World.
    God willing!✍️
