At 55:17 I’ve always understood a double clutch to be a dynamic move where you catch two holds simultaneously. Essentially what Katja was trying to do. Why does Pete Correct Danaan?
Hi there- couple of things! There are often regional and generational differences in terminology for climbing- for example what is now usually referred to as a ‘pogo’ was a ‘pixie kick’ when I started climbing back in the 90’s. Danaan and I were having a bit of fun with terms all weekend and double clutch was one of them. Where I climb, a double clutch is anytime you start a dynamic move, hesitate and then do it on the next pull. Neither is right or wrong, just depends on what happens where you are in the world and in history!
Hell yeah, what a great comp ❤
Trying a couple of new things and it worked! Loved the commentary and interviewing.
