The story is simple, but the chemistry between Sam and Yu and their acting skills grabbed my attention and kept me spellbound. I’ve rewatched multiple times for the subtle changes in expression and movements that I’ve missed that say so much. I never thought I’d enjoy a BL, but I never even saw gender with this series. All I saw was a beautiful and passionate love. Highly recommend.

@@nanajohnny9213 so many beautiful and sweet moments. The sofa scene is beautiful and very powerful. Sam’s performance is mesmerizing and starts with the “hi”. Yu’s performance is subtle but a match for Sam’s acting. I mean…Sam sobs over Yu and tears are falling on his face!

@@nanajohnny9213 I knew nothing of BL series until a month or so ago. Presumably because I watch a lot of BTS content, a clip of WBL showed up on my feed. Actually, all sorts of BL clips flooded my feed, but only one caught my attention. It was one including a clip of the office scene. Normally a same sex story would not interest me, but there was something about the clip that was beautiful and intriguing and I had to find the series. I’m glad I did. It is beautifully done and, again, I did not see the gender of main characters, which very much surprised me. I love the subtle facial expressions and how well they both convey the range of emotions that had me feel and believe in their love from the cute starting phase to the intense break up and reunion.

No wonder this condensed version of the series has attracted such a large following. It's a beautiful story and the main actors have an amazing closeness in the way they portray their characters. Although the series is a little too fast paced for my liking, I really loved the character dynamics unfold here. the chemistry both of them had was so undeniably intriguing to see more and more of, I really liked that zhou shu yi stood his ground after gao shi de came back, him saying his decision to love someone wasn't anyone else's choice was so refreshing, gao shi de realising his mistake was so wonderful :( i loved this so much

The chemistry between them was so natural yet intense, you can literally feel the heat from the screen. Both of them did an amazing job at acting, but Sam's acting is just purely phenomenal. His expressions and the way he shows the right emotions on his face is just on point, I was really impressed by him.

This series captured me from start, already when I heard Sam's deep narrating voice saying "Hey, Zhao Shu Yi." That was enough. Lol.
They are so real for this. I deny it's not real. There's no unnecessary drama, no needless intimacy but still the chemistry hits so hard. Every touch, every look, every moment so powerful. Every kiss is so meaningful.
