NOT DRAMATIC PEOPLE, BUT PEOPLE THAT TRULY MAKE YOU SMILE, don't be nervous it's not as scary as it seems in social media, but most importantly JUST TRY TO HAVE THE BEST YEAR POSSIBLE!!!!! Organization and thoroughness helps ALOTTTTTT too. Hope this helps!
Turn in all of your work and do the best you can bc freshman year is really important and everything you do will impact your future. But also try to have fun and stay away from the bad kids
Make friends with the kids you know most people in your school may not because they may think they're "uncool." I'm fully East African but my mum looks white and I'm chocolate 😂 so when I was in Norway people used to think I was adopted by my mum but really my mum is fully black but she looks really white and my dad is black but I don't have the African structure I.e nose,lips etc but I'll tell you again I'm fully black and this makes no sense what's so ever 😂

My mom is adopted she looks visually white but she gets natural tans and acts black due to how she was raised...in the hood. My father is black, irish, and two types of indian Blackfoot and Cherokee. When I was young I never knew what the word Caucasian meant i though it was another word for crack so when i heard someone call me a caucasian i would yell at them and say i wasnt doing crack. Id also do the same when others addressed my mother as that as well. But it didnt really hit me that i was different being mixed until my first M.E.A.P test which asked for my race, when i asked the teacher cuz i was confused she said and I quote"just put down white" when i objected cuz i didnt understand she said it again with a lil more forces so i did what she said and it confused me throughout the whole test. When i went home i asked my parents about race and what that made me. My parents even to this day are understanding,open-minded and supportive. My father said it doesnt matter what you look like you are still our baby girl... So when i asked their respective races and with both of them mixed together to make me what all of those races make me; cuz when you're like 6 and you know how colors work you gotta know what this color and that color together make, and before my father could find an answer my mother yelled and said i was a peach. A peach color... I loved that color and fruit so i was satisfied and said it proudly when i was younger when people asked my race. I dont say it anymore but when i told this story in women and gender studies at college... My teacher replied with explaining to the class that i was a dumb child and that it was unnecessary towards the topic we were discussing. She didnt care even though she asked us about our stories on race and the matter as a child and that the topic itself was about RACE! Still a lil salty but it dont matter i love my skin tone and my chocolate tans in the summer especially when i come back to school in September and everyone is like DAMN I guess she is black. Lol I love you all and be safe out there.
