I grew up with this metronome on the piano in grandma's house in the Bronx, 1960's. Grandma also instructed all of us to tap our feet while we are playing.

Thanks for this. There's something about looking at the mechinical "analog" pendular motion that makes it easier to internalize the tempo. It's not as accurate as the digital ones and it's every so slightly slower than 60 and UA-cam's finest (.05) custom speed-up increment goes too far in the other direction but this is still my go-to metronome video. If you dance or rock side to side in the opposite direction from the pendulum you can almost feel the weight of the thing shifting. Very cool.
