The missheard lyrics "Sie sind das Essen und wir sind die Jäger!" literally means " They are the food and we are the hunters!" (so what now? Humans eat Titans?) while the real line "Seid ihr das Essen? Nein, wir sind die Jäger!" means "Are you the food? No, we are the hunters!"(Humans dont see themselves as food but as hunters).
So personally I think the real one does make more sense but I leave that up to you to decide. And by the way I am fluent in german and english so you can trust my translation;)
