Been spamming Veno a good bit and finding I don't really need mana boots, and go tranquil and a null talisman, so I can then upgrade into boots of bearing later. Veno very slow, so getting tranquil and drums early with a movement neutral item, and you can be really hard to lockdown and kill.
Plague ward applies a stack of poison sting independent of Venomancer, but the effects do not stack and the hero poison sting damage takes priority over the plague ward's as it has higher damage.
Correct, he fails to note the more important reason W is taken as priority, it is the higher slow and higher duration even with lv plague. Damage doesn't matter as much.
0:46 man, as a long-time player who quit 2 years ago, hearing someone is "12k" is mind-blowing. I remember back then pros are 7k and miracle was a god for reaching 8k lol

Went from ancient 2 to divine 5 mainly playing Veno pos 4/5. There's a few things that rubs me the wrong way in this video. To say that Veno do not trade well, when he has poison sting...? At level 3 (lvl 2 poison sting) you do 144 DOT (16 * 9) from ONE attack, at level 2 it's 48, witch is still very very good. To get even 1 hit in and then back of really builds up. And, I might have missed it, to not mention that he's universal and the importance of buying things with stats seems like a miss. Tbh, really like your content in general, but this was a to low effort video.

thx for vid, as veno spammer climbing from archon into divine, i religiously go 1-4-1 build pretty much all games, with the exception of games vs sd or tb support in which case i'd delay my passive so it doesn't get turned around onto me.

Hang on - the plague ward's sting does not do damage at the same time as the character's sting does! If you've got both on, only the player's sting will have an affect!
I especially like the 10 talent Gale CD when I’m planning to buy aghs, since thats what activates it!! Has huge impact late game play

"your armor isn't good" what? veno has 4 armor which is in the top part of the hero list(only like 32 heroes have more armor). Naga has 0.5 points of armor on you only. You have more armor than sven, spirit breaker and bristleback.
Hey I noticed you didn't mention shard. Isn't shard super good vs BKB heroes, they get stunned when they cast essentially wasting a crucial time of their BKB. Also works on some other dispels like manta etc. I think it is a very strong shard generally, but gets overlooked often.
that's not true. if you pop bkb while under the effect of the shard, the stun doens't apply because you're bkb'd lol

You need to put in more effort into picking replays for these "guides". You chose a game with a non conventional skill and item build veno that did not do well in lane nor had any real impact. That was a game where veno could be replaced by any support and they win regardless.
veno shard is very strong against huskar ulti. it stops him in the middle of jumping because he gets magic immunity.

When we played for the win, as friends. I have coached my friend how to play pos5, and it was the Veno, long story short, he was as good as how many wards he can put in a team fight. He placed almost 10 in one team fight... I think that is good for new pos5 players, you are good as much as you can put wards in a fight.
Veno has fun talents, ofc you wanna take -5 sec on Q then Q creates E... It is FUN, sometimes you can block somebody if you have ES with you... OMG now I miss LAN party's, it was so cool guys, we had long table (we still live in "Villas")... You could put 5 (if not 10) PC's and food... + we have, you don't have that in the USA but let's say a grill which has its own house, so it was a party for real.

I have 500 veno games so I think about some of the things in the video way too much. Thank you for talking about the ward poison sting and hero poison sting being different, I can’t stand when people max plague wards first. I will say this train of thought lead me to favoring the poising sting health regen reduction lvl 10 talent. Make poison sting as strong as possible!

You die in the middle of a team fight with aghs that's a tale poison on everyone and potentially 20 instant plague wars because I think the talent spawns 4 for each hit? I haven't played it in a while so I can't actually remember, but at that point you're basically a shadow shaman and vipers love child between all the dots and wards. Fuck it, have both of them on the team too, turn every team fight into absolute ass cancer.
