AWAKENING EXPERIENCES UNCOVER ALL THAT HAS BEEN DENIED.
When we relax our grip on ourselves and/or life, something softens, and something opens. When we experience what we may call some kind of awakening, however that may arise, something within stirs.
In that softening and opening, in that awakening, it is as though an energetic door within us also opens, and everything that has been held in the shadows seeks to come through that door to reach the light of being.
For many, this is why things can become more intense, and even more painful, after an opening or awakening experience. Of course, we tend to think something is wrong, or that we have lost that experience, and we start the push/pull of getting it and losing it.
But what may be happening is that a door has opened wider within us, and everything is now seeking to ‘come home to union, to love.’
Our journey requires us to embrace the entire human condition, including pain, trauma, and darkness, rather than avoiding or suppressing them. By opening up to these deeper energies and allowing them to be released, we can find true peace and union within ourselves.
Ultimately, every part of the journey, no matter how painful or difficult, conspires to bring us to this moment. By accepting all that has happened, we recognize that everything has been necessary and perfect in leading us to the present, where true peace resides. Here, in the presence of this moment, we can finally be at peace with ourselves.

What grace there is for you
You get to carry the lightness of humility
Into the world and all its heaviness
All you have to do is put down your weapons.

Be still
And see the world
Spinning around you
Your healing creates waves of energy
That flow out harmoniously
Into the fractured field
That so desperately needs love.

When your heart opens
Wider than your mind
It's not intellectual or philosophical
It can't be explained or rationalized
It is pure and vast and deep and profound
You don't feel less
You feel more
There is just no story of self in it.

Awakening or no awakening
Just keep putting goodness
Into the world
To the best of your capacity
Nothing else is needed.

Friend, have you tasted
The depth of the ocean
And seen how all things come and go
Have you touched the vast unknown
Out of which all things arise
Belief and opinion
Are but tiny waves on this eternal ocean
Let go of them for a moment
And see what remains
For that will be true.
----------------------
What I’m really talking about
Is softening so much
And opening so wide
All beliefs and opinions
Are seen as clouds
Of no great importance
Floating through a vast sky
Yes they may bring rain and thunder
But even these shall pass, as all clouds do.

Mastery of the body and emotional body
Or the subtle energy body
And mastery of the mind
Has nothing to do with control
This kind of mastery
Is about resting in the equanimity of presence
As all things of form come and go
A profound letting be
Without detaching or bypassing.

If sorrow arrives
Welcome it with grace
If joy should bubble up
Welcome it with open arms
If the past with all its woes
Should visit you
Greet it with a smile
And a warm embrace
Everything that comes
Wants love
Only you can offer that.

As though
At least for a moment
You suddenly remembered
Your true nature
As eternity
As the stars
As divine consciousness
As love
And the taste of that remembering
Was enough
And nothing more was needed.
