My mother who worked in a Nursing Home where a blood relative of the royal family was a patient there in NSW Australia showed her his scales on his arm as he rolled up a sleeve. That was in the 1960/1970’s or early 80’s. I’m not sure as she said it was a while ago. Mum told me he was lovely however he made her swear she was never to tell as her life would be in danger if she did. She shared this with me in 2016/2017 and I thought it was too strange to mention to anyone anyway, however I did believe mum, and sadly passed away 6th Jan this year.
