What destroyed the peatland? From the dialog I gathered it was the deer yet there did not seem to be any effort to exclude them from the peatland or talk of reducing their numbers.
Anyone doing any math behind all of this? Do these activities offset the emissions associated with the staff working on the site? How much emissions from manufacturing of the equipment that they are using, as well as transporting everything to and from the site? I wouldn't be surprised if this activity is a net emitter carbon.

But there is no natural peatland, it should all be rainforest -_-
