This team is crazy. After the defense gave up a long drive and 10 points in the first, they clamped down and gave us a chance. The offense was pretty bad mostly thanks to the offensive line just getting run off the field. Having our 3rd string QB throw the winning touchdown is crazy. Jones has been better than I expected. He really wasn't even on my radar coming into the season, but as a true freshman he's playing better than his ratings. We need to give the defense a round of applause. They've made the plays to keep us in the game. Beating a team that overmatched you pretty big ratings wise is a enormous step. It just shows this teams young talent.
I am 44 and never in my life have I seen an O-line IRL or in a video game so great at run blocking yet so horrendous at pass blocking at the same time.
Billly Byner McCrary III was the hero of the game. Bad play calling today Cane. Maybe learn what a slant is next time you don't have time for normal pass plays to develop.
I think everyone in the comments is on the same page, we need to use the running game a LOT more. Sheridan has been great in the first two games and we just need to keep feeding him, as well as running the option.
This defense is really stepping up. I thought we were in flora regression this season (and admittedly its still early) but if this defense keeps up its clutch play then we might be going for another bowl game! Also it was very fitting that the defense was the one on the field to win the gamed after that 1st quarter.

If you miss your players so much you should consider sending them to the Relocation Football League. You can submit draft players and I think it would be a great opportunity for you

I love how MrHurriicane says pocket passing isn't working and I'm spotting 1 and sometimes 2 guys wide open for a first down every time he takes a sack. Nevertheless, I love this series, even if playcalling and done choices are highly questionable. (Started watching 3 days ago and already to this point.) Good Game. Lol

Hey Cane! You could've finished the game at the end if you didn't score a touchdown. Williams falls down before the endzone, take a couple knees and kick. That way there would have been no chance for Cal to get the football back. Great start to the season!
Kalispell got lucky, very lucky, no way Kalispel should have won. The offensive coordinator had horrible play calls for having no time in the pocket, throw some short passes that help get rid of the ball quick. Also you gotta run the ball with Rascoe early so that you can tire out the defense. Roscoe needs to get the ball, can't just pass all the time especially if you call more mid throws with no time in the pocket.
The offense in the 4th quarter needs to be the regular offense. It doesn't matter the competition you're playing against, 10 sacks allowed in a game is atrocious. David Warren was playing at tackle and guard in this game. That's how bad it was. This O-line would look a lot better IMO if the passes per game were cut down so that the QB(s) can be present when you need them to make a play. I've seen that there are some flexbone formations in the playbook, I think it'd be nice to see some runs from that formation once in a while. Despite getting the win with the defense playing well, this kind of offensive play calling from today's 4th quarter needs to continue in a big way.
