The defensive line is going to lose us a big game. Not getting home to the QB is an issue. Yes, Jack Sawyer is looking better. But that is about it. When we play the best teams on the schedule this will be an issue. Add to this the lack of LB production is not good

Caden Curry needs to take JTT’s reps in obvious passing situations. JTT is great in the run but pretty much useless in pass rush. Curry is more dynamic and consistent when it comes to getting after the QB
Yes I believe all of our guys need to turn it up, shouldn’t be any issues getting pressure with any of these guys!! There’s so many ways Jim can attack an offense with the weapons at his disposal!. The front 4 should be able to make their presence felt, giving these linebackers more involved!!! Go Bucks
Jim Knowles shouldn’t be happy because they got pushed around at the beginning of the game, if you want to be the best team in the country and win a championship it has to show on the field plain and simple!. I didn’t like their body language on the defense in the last game, When they’re playing well they’re attacking!!! Go Bucks

I’m a big LJ fan but he needs to adjust his program and if not move on!
When LJ coached under Urban, he played more aggressively, but under Day and Knowles, they are more concerned about containment. Now that our corners and safeties are dudes, we have to pin our ears back and get after the QB. He did coach the Bossa Bros and Chase Young, and I think the problem is a command decision above his pay grade.

Are pass rush is lacking because our 2 best pass rushers are wrongly battling to be WIll LB smh. Rotate Sonny and CJ at Jack. Take JT off the field since he’s not rushing the QB effectively.

I say it all starts with the coaches. They call the defense, they make the personnel decisions. So, yeah if Knowles is pissed off, look in the mirror first. I’m not sold on Sonny Styles. Too big for safety, too small for DE, doesn’t seem to understand being an lb, or tough enough to be an lb. Where does he fit? Maybe he should be a tight end? Just speculating.

Only way MSU keeps this close is TOs. Young athletic QB who is TO prone against OSU D will force the ball and try to win on his own. MSU needs a break or two. The Buckeye run game will control the game and make playaction open big plays. This will mitigate MSUs one strength, pass rush. Not sure their strengths are suited to keep it close.
