    Sounds good. I was stationed at Spangdahlem AFB from January, 1961 to 1964, and I saw a lot of people riding bikes of this size. There was not a lot of money in that part of Germany at the time, and people were glad to have them. I assume that the standard for personal transportation these days leans more to expensive BMW and Audi cars. I am glad to see it.

      Small bikes are the biz. Heaps more fun, going fast on a slow bike, than slow on a litre bike. I wish I kept my china girl 150. Properly aspirated and geared, it would do the ton easy. (It did the 140 on the clock, with standard gearing, and breathing properly, easily). This thing is really pretty. Nice bike hombre.

    I had a two speed, light green colour with from memory a cream colour as well in the 1960's, I once rode it from Melbourne to Adelaide, which is about 750km's and had to pedal up all the steep hills; took me about a week to do that trip.

    Had one in 1960. Very good. Bought it for 18 guilders ( Netherlands ) . Lots of fun with this NSU.

    Similiar model was available in India which was known as Laxmi, with 2 gears and big diameter wheels it was fun to drive around in the leisure mode. Usually almost all shopkeepers and milksellers used to have this bike or cyclobike quite handy to move goods and packets.

    I Love the NSU quicklys my Favorit Models are the T and the s23 or the F because in the F you could Put the Seat Up but i can't afford those they are expensive as hell Like 500€ for one that can go to the junkyard and 900-1000€ for one that can Drive but Looks horrible i have bought two Parts for the quickly for 5€ because i got an engine for free but then the prices we're rising so i don't know what to do with it repairing the Engine Costs about 300€ so yeah i don't think i am rebuilding one 😅 somody actually gave me an Mofa a few months ago for free sadly a few parts are Missing and the Piston Rings we're Broken too so i need to replace them and a few small Things Like de-rusting the Tank and replacing a few wires and then it should Run i believe it was called an Victoria "Vicky" with an m51 engine by the way i am 12 and i want to become an mechanic when i am 18🤣

    Can you tell me the size of does tyres???

    • @peterkbz
      @peterkbz  Рік тому

      Hi Joao, you have two choices of tyres for Quicklys, original moped tyres or bicycle tyres.
      -Continental moped tyres size is 2-22 / 26B and a good price for a tyre and inner tube is about 40euro
      -Bicycle tyres size is 26×2.125 and you can have 2 tyres and inner 2 inner tubes for 40£.
      Do let me know if there is anything I can help with?
