- This is a tribute and retrospective on Lara Parker's portrayal of Angelique the witch on the classic horror soap opera Dark Shadows. #darkshadows #horror #classichorror #classictv #halloween #witch
RIP Lara, you had the most beautiful, mesmerizing eyes I've ever seen!
I had met Lara Parker several times at the many Dark Shadows Festivals held in Los Angeles over the years. She was such a sweet and lovely woman. Rest in peace beautiful lady.
RIP . You stole my heart as a teenager when you were on the show.
Rest in eternal peace Lara; you were the absolute consummate witch. Oh my goodness what an original laugh.
Lara Parker also played a witch on an episode of Kolchak - The Night Stalker (1975).
REST IN PEACE LARA.
R.I.P Lara Parker who passed away On October 15 2023. You will be missed.
Her stare was unnerving. She had the Evil Eye for sure.
To me, Angelique was one of THE most infuriating villains in fiction, not just television, played to delicious perfection by Lara Parker! She was always trying to keep Barnabas and Josette ( my 1st crush) apart; Oh, the joy I felt when I saw actual terror in Angelique's beautiful eyes, as the time travelling Spirit of Josette tried to take her revenge on the witch, at long last!
I believe a heroine only becomes great when challenged by great obstacles or villainy, and Angelique was a quite a villain!
Rest well, Lara, your legend lives on!
Lara Parker was a phenom. Very convincing in her role as Angelique. Happy birthday Lara.
I agree, she made it seem so real, i love her Angelique!!

@@jayanz7387 that's great she was a wonderful lady.
She really was the greatest witch. I even loved Laura playing the witch in "The Trevi Collection" episode of the Kolchak: The Nightstalker series
I did too !! She’s my favorite witch !!
R.I.P. Lara Parker
Awesome video birthday tribute for a beloved actress and TV character. :)
Thank you so much !!! Your always such a great supporter !!
Thank you.
I know next to nothing about Dark Shadows, and this was an informative and engaging video.
And Barnabus is Daniel Craig's father.
You're awesome bro. I love everything that you review and follow.
Thank you so much! That is so nice of you!!
RIP, Lara Parker
I met her once, at a book signing, with Kathryn Leigh Scott, years ago. She was nice, but she is very intimidating.
Haha that’s how I felt too , it’s nothing she did , she was super nice , but it was a little scary haha
Lara Parker also played Laura Banner, the wife of David Banner in the Hulk TV series, whose premature death in a car crash spawned her husband's obsession "to tap into the hidden strengths that all humans have." Which ultimately gives birth to The Incredible Hulk.
Lara was absolutely delicious as Angelique. I loved it whenever she appeared on the series.
That’s so cool , she has two iconic roles !!
I loved Lara Parker as Anglique on Dark Shadows too...I had such a crush on her when I was 12...haha...I'm a original fan...your luckey you got to meet her...I have 3 autographed stills from her...I did meet David Selby & Kathryn Leigh Scott here in Houston...I wrote to Jonathan Frid in Dallas in the '80s at a hotel...He sent me a autographed pic & typed me a letter...I have all the Gold Key comic books & all the paperbacks too
She was absolutely beautiful!❤️
Good job, Bobby!
Thank you so much !!
I'm waiting for a signed photo and copy of her latest book I ordered from Lara on her website. Nice review.
Oh cool!!! I haven't read her latest book, what is the title?
Angeliques descent. I sent check payment to her po box but it hasn't been cashed yet. Over a month ago. May follow up with email. Ordered it through her website. The book is print on demand so that may be holding up my order.
Lara also appeared in an episode of Kolchak the night stalker tv show of mid 70s.
I did not know before today that Lara Parker (whom I loved meeting at a convention) and I share the same birthday (as does Teddy Roosevelt). Cool.
That’s so cool and happy birthday!!
2 weeks before her 85th birthday, in LA, yet buried in Memphis. Say Hello to Jonathan Frid & Elvis ! My Favorite TV actress.
Born in 60 always thought she was beautiful
Oh cool!!! So you were watching when it was originaly on! That's awesome!!
@@DustyOldMovies Got to remember we came from a generation that well at least I was only been able to watch The Blob ,I remember when I went to sleep sealing under my bedroom door ,but the other day ran into u tube on the characters and there were many even outside COLINSWOTH,( spelling?) anyways it was a kinda suspenseful slow show that would let all of us hanging what would happen last minutes on Friday to want to watch on Mondays ,LOVED IT
Is this series available on DVD?
I watched it back in the day, too.
Yes it is , they sell it volumes or you can buy a big coffin box set !
Una bruja guapisima
You should interview her!
Do you think she would say yes ?
There was a timeframe when she was THE VAMPIRE meaning the most feared character
I love her as a vampire !!!
in one of the episodes you can catch someone walking in scene scratching his junk look for it iv see them all
Is that the legitamit oil painting from the set?
sorry she died today at 84
I couldn't stand Angelique, maybe because the writers never created competition almost equal to hers and also because she made Barnabas so miserable.
Is it not pronounced “Lara” where the “lar” is like “car”? I’ve always loved that both her character name and her real name are unusually intriguing. “Laura” just seems ordinary because I’ve known 5 Lauras in my life (so no disrespect intended).
Dude, you are sooooo farrrrrr out of her league😂
i know haha
@@DustyOldMovies Me as well! 🤣
@@DustyOldMovies Do you have any autographed merc from her?
