There is nothing angry except in the title. The waves seem peaceful, and with that many people on the scene, it would seem they knew what to expect, and seem to have worked a way to surf in a crowd. that's life in the big city. the street getting there was jammed too.
Im currently in Bali at Medewi point. Had the beach break to myself today prob a little worse than this but nobody. I would rather save, travel and avoid crowds thats mental worse than my local

Lots of beginners and people actually grabbing and pushing around other people's boards. I could stand it for a while. After thirty years of surfing Florida, Northern California, and the Outer Banks, I can say it's something I never experience anymore. If you were to ask me what I liked about the overcrowded spots I would say I can't remember anything. I allways find better places to surf now. Must be spoiled.
300,000 to 400,000 people drown every year. Only about 5-20 people are killed by sharks annually. And that number has remained constant since such records started being kept… in the 1500’s. Y’all worry about the most ridiculous things.
Whatva pathetic state surfing is in these days. Makes me sad. I am so blessed to have been so fortunate to start surfing in 1975. Soul surfing was real then. Now its a war zone filled with kooks,yuppies,housewives and tourists.🤮

Glad I surfed in early to mid 60's. To have awesome days with just a couple of friends, those are great memories.
I learned to surf at Topanga in the late 70s I see nothing has changed !!

I surfed all over Southern Cal for 20 years and never bothered with Topanga. This video shows why. It's a great wave at times but way too crowded.
