Please drive responsibly.
I always grive responsibly. I never use anti-gravity while operating a vehicle.
@@danieldonnert3747get into an empty parking lot and just try anti-grav sometime. It is pretty fun.
Never drive alien spacecraft on the highway, you may scratch the paintjob.
Make sure to maintain sufficient levels of blinker fluid for maximum overgrift enjoyment

People often use the term 'far right' alongside grifting. This relates to your starting position on the road, you want to as far on the right side as you can be to maximise the depth of your grift and preserve as much momentum as possible.
Lmao driving on the left side in some places can cause accidents and issues
Well said. We need more experts like you speaking up.
Now i finally know what far right and grifting means 🤯 thanks my dude :) but.. why are these people not telling me wich car is the best to grift profesionally? 🤔 i mean.. if they talk about grifting so often then why is no one telling me *wich car* is the best to do these *hella sick drifs* with?? It’s really confusing i would highly appreciate it if you could tell me wich person i need to ask to give me the best grifting advices 😊 thanks in advance - Meguca 🙂
And the reason why not many know about the far right is the fact that in most other countries, the driving actually takes place on the left side of the road.
@@andrewroy9263
Most other countries? ... pretty sure the only ones NOT driving on the RIGHT way are UK and Japan... maybe Australia, but kinda expect them driving upside down any way.. :P
There’s another internet term that people use called “fascist” which is just a combo of the words “fast” and “shifts,” wherein the driver shifts using frame-perfect precision to achieve maximum speed and efficiency. It’s quite the meta tactic!
Frame perfect shifting. Oh yeah. It eliminates the end lag.
My grandpa was using this method on famous Auschwitz raceway back then.
@@libor2010 He must have been quite the -raci...- er... racer.
@@libor2010 That was right next to the swimming pool and pizza ovens right?
@ i think next to Public showers.
another term often used on the internet is "nazi". the acronym stands for "Nitros Assisted Z-axis Inclination". when engaging the nitros, the vehicle will experience a great elevation in power, resulting in the front of the car lifting, thus touching the ground with only the two back wheels. it is often described as "wicked cool".
People always underestimate the importance of the Z axis.
Grifting is any time any one on the internet says something I don't like, but I don't have any substantive reason to discredit them.
It's easy to identify a grifter, but the process of exposing the truth isn't worth the effort.
The only platform it's worth the effort is on Twitter's community notes. There's receipts.
Anywhere else there is a very high probability your posts or videos are going to disappear.
I can think of a lot of popular people right now off the top of my head who are genuine grifters. What is there to gain by discrediting them? Absolutely nothing.
Just because people don't put in the effort doesn't mean it isn't true.
If someone is called a grifter it's one of two things; a dog whistle or a warning. Which it is depends on who uses it. Pay attention and make up your own mind on a case by case basis.
@@TallulahSoie Or call things by their names and don't parrot the trendy words for no reason. It doesn't help. grifter = scammer or liar. Just use these perfectly fine words everyone knows.
In short:
What is "not" a grifter:
-A person who has differing opinion then changed his mind but still principled
-A person who has controversial opinions
-A person who has politics that doesn't cater to you
What is a "grifter":
A person who flip-flops his own opinions just to gain clout either positive or negative
How does this relate to driving? I'm confused that I might do it wrong next time.
When he said "opinions", he meant "vehicles". @@ilari90
Grifting involves conning people out of their money, no?
@neotalin7238 Yes, but it often refer to as "scammers"
@@neotalin7238 no that's scamming
Jerrel takes off his game dev hat, his archaeologist hat, his social commentator hat, his antiquarian hat, and his fashion hat for a moment so he can put on his philologist hat.
So deep. So drift.
You are the Bob Newhart of the youtube gaming space. I love it.
That's an incredible compliment.
Lol this never occurred to me but I totally see it now that you've said it.
@sungrandstudios It is deserved good sir.
We need more of these definitions. I'm so confused by today's vernacular.
Heart starts pounding, going to drift and eurobeat music starts playing...... gotta love Initial D. Makes me want to rewatch it. Thanks for reminding me
I want to rewatch it now too.
This respectful gentleman, which one may call a "Bro" or "Dude" or most appropriately "GigaChad", showers us with content while working his buttocks off. BRAVO once again my fellow sir, youre nothing short but exceptional!!!
Hahaha thanks for having fun here at the channel with me.
Scandanavian flick on an incline = grifting. Love it.
No joke the ad right before this video was for a stud finder and as soon as it was over up pops Jerrel. The thing clearly works!
Gravity Drifters actually kinda goes hard.
Would be a good space travel movie. Maybe even a new sport based in space 🤔 we got some ideas cookin
Thank you for the clarification. I thought it was a combination of Drift and Graft, where the aftermath of a failed drift requires skin grafts. I feel much more informed now.
Wow, yikes. That's a stay in the hospital for sure.
I never know what is going to come out of this channel next and you know what, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! Thanks for finally explaining the lingo that all the kids are using these days. 😂😂😂
Thanks for enjoying the channel! I suppose I can help explain more of these trendy cool new words.
I was surprised in a positive way to find this informative video on a channel that is otherwise mostly dedicated to video games. The only thing I would maybe add is that performing multiple grifts in a row is sometimes called deja vu. But you could make an argument that this is outside of scope of this straight to the point video. Again, I'm very happy to see content like this on this channel and hope it's just the first of many to come.
Fun fact, Brother Jerrel is a national Grifting champion.
Well, there's way better drivers than me out there
@@sungrandstudios Modest 🤣
By gods! Your jokes are subtle but hit like a truck 😆 UA-cam was missing such a well mannered humor. You are fantastic ❤
Thank you for sharing a laugh with me today! I'm glad you enjoyed the video.

I'm one of those people who just smile at even the funniest jokes, but this video made me laugh out loud so that the neighbors came to check if I was okay.
Haha thanks for enjoying a laugh with me today.
This is exactly why I don't use the work "woke" nor "grifter" to describe swindlers and slanderers in the industry or the media. Instead I call them EXACTLY AS THEY ARE: Swindlers, corrupt con-artists, revilers, slanderers, blinded-bias, etc.
I use EXACT negative-adjectives that perfectly describe them.
You know negative -adjectives can be used wrongly right? Woke is abetter term if you consider its timely structure while for example slanderer can be used at anytime to call any one slanderer. The 'woke' ( you know what i mean) is using the words like facist and nazi to dehuminize people while the people they call nazis are cant be further ffrom the nazis. There is no way to universilly describe people like this
As one who drives manual, grifting pretty much becomes second nature, it's much easier to do with manual than with automatics, and the incline doesn't even have to be particularly steep, with a manual, I just have to shift down to a lower gear, and as such I don't lose either momentum or speed.
That is respectable. I'm not great at driving manual so grifting is much more difficult for me.
So your telling me I can only properly drift on sloped granite for a “Granite Grift” so to speak buy turning right to turn left using gravity effectively? I understand completely. Thank you for the lesson Professor Dulay.
Oh if it's on Granite, it's "G Grifting" or "Double G-ing". Quite advanced tech. Props if you can do it.
"Grifter" was a positive term in the 1970's - a tough hard worker. There was even a cool bicycle from Raleigh called The Grifter, related to their hilariously named Chopper model.
If you had a Chopper you were instantly the coolest kid on the block! I had a second hand Grifter and it was hard work to peddle, was faster to get off and push.
@@CyberDunk2077 I did have a Chopper but it was the softy safer Version 2!
Grifter was my favorite WildC.A.T.s character. It's a comic book from back in the day before the WMV infected Jim Lee and he was still able to draw proper women like Voodoo.
Thank you sir. I now feel hella informed.
I feel hella glad for that.
Thank you for the clarification.

Beautiful words.
Why Would Anyone Grift When They Could Just Mow A Lawn?
Gravity Drifting is way faster than lawn mowing.
Thank you so much for teaching me how to drift. Great explanation on the technique of drifting. I need to practice and become a better drifter now.
Thank you for clearing the etimology of that one! As a foreigner I couldn't get a grip on the meaning all those messages on Twitter have...
If I'm a grifter, I'm godawful at it.
But you are great at your UA-cam channel!
fake anti-woke grifters , your dont call out the gayness even its optional , you grifters probably think baldurs gate 3 , cyberpunk , rdr 2 is not woke lol
bro your wit is something else
For advanced 'drivers' the grifting manuever is also done on a wide stage, which is why it is referred to in social media as 'performative'. Just as an actor has a stage, a social media grifter has an online audience, where performative acts of grifting can both shock and confound their audience through their audacious usage of techniques such as the 'shameless plug', which is often used when grifting in water (one must drain the plug for the shame of the water to sink down the drain), the 'insincere apology' (where the grifter, as an expert driver and performer pretends to apologize to other grifters for what is known as 'schooling' on them inappropriately), and the 'opportunistic cash-in', where the grifter, almost defying gravity, seeks to overtake other drivers through an enticing financial instrument placed in the pit stop. The opportunistic cash-in, much like weapons in Mario Kart, are left behind only to harm other grifters and amuse the audience, though sometimes, like an errant red Koopa shell, it also hits members of the audience, relieving them of their money.
Some grifters are also known to 'school' their audiences and may target them directly, but this is frowned upon by other grifters, who will then initiate a recursive 'shameless plug' as the grifting race turns to outright melee.
Always a pleasure to listen to the Professor.
In Canada, Grifter also means "Gifted Drifter". Close enough.
I just enjoy seeing all these wonderful cultural differences. Thank you for sharing that.
I'm impressed that these youtubers have taken suddenly to these advanced driving techniques

We all are going to keep feeling older and older. Haha.
"Grifter" is a word used when someone feels threatened and they want to let everyone know
I appreciate these fireside chats. Very informative.
Thanks for coming to hang out and have some fun.
Grifting is when a huge number of culture war gaming channels latch onto Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 as their next big thing, pretending they played the first one, and then get mad they were 'lied to' because its 'woke', because elements/characters from the first game are still in the second game, outing themselves as never having played the first one at all.
Ironically, grifters are often the ones calling for 'gatekeeping' hobbies they were never a part of either.
Hahaha. Honestly I have never even heard of the first game. There are so many new games to keep track of.
@@sungrandstudios It is worth checking out, imagine one of those older 'sim' games like Thief or System Shock but set in medieval eastern europe. The combat has a learning curve but its a world you can really lose yourself in quite easily. Lots of mechanical depth. Or just check out the sequel, looks like they've made a lot of QOL improvements to how the first played.
One thing it isn't, is 'woke' lmao
they made established character gay , and these grifters are okay with it , only man who calls out this synthetic man , KINGDOM COME 2 IS WOKE , they added a black dude despite director saying there were no blacks in medieval bohemia back in 2015 , if you deny that you are r-tard , and not actually against woke , if you accept no matter how small the wokeness is , they will keep doing that "oh its just optional for henry to be gay" , "oh its just one black dude" , "certain" group try to normalize all of this behavior , and its not okay
kingdom come 2 is woke , period. They gave a established character gay option, added a black dude despite director saying there were no blacks back in 2015 ,and this npc talks about how they treat women better in Africa , if you deny that , you are not actually anti-woke , but a fake one
@ lol okay madam
My mind just grifted while listening to this and didn't even know it. The grifting is strong with this one...
I’ve been grifting for years now, just never knew they had a word for it!
Every day is a school day…
I think the word grifting is derived from "lifting", rather than "drifting". It means that content creators "lift" the number of clicks on their videos by spinning a drama out of any little piece of information in order to please their viewers. And in order to make the channel "gr"ow by getting new viewers. Thus the combination of "lifting" and "growth" to "grifting".
I love how this turned into a lesson on drifting 😂😂😂
Great educational video XD Also I like your moustache, it suits you :D
Thanks for enjoying the video!
Oh my lord, the deadpan delivery cracks me up. "Hella sick."
That Black Friday sale for 35% off is fantastic!!!
Lol, thank you for the actual meaning. So many people use slang terminology in place of English and have no idea what they are saying lol. A conspiracy theorist is also a popular one people commonly mistake. They do not understand they are taking a slang form of a meaning and changing it, or, furthering the slang form of the word. This is why English is so difficult to learn for foreigners as most Americans do not speak it themselves lol.
Thank you for this. Im currently dissecting what is wrong with my dishwasher (think its the inlet valve is needing a clean) and needed a nice break.
Your explanation is very good.
Thank you for share your knowledge, and I mean it 👍
PS, just for curious out there, these kinds of words/terminology are not very common or even non-existing in spanish language - as far as I know - and that makes it even harder to learn about them (words and hobbies and what have you 😅).
The kids are bringing back "hella?" I feel so YOUNG again! 😊
As an English teacher and hardcore gamer, I approve this message. I have thus realized that I frequently grift in video games like _Grand Theft Auto._
Thank you for your endorsement. Now let's see which of our favorite games having grifting mechanics!
My great great great great grandmother was a horse chute manufacturer. The chutes today are now mass produced overseas and lack the embroidery of the old ways.
I am saddened by how we've cut out the genuine people who really care about horse chutes and have been outsourcing the manufacturing.
My nephew about died so many times trying to drive like that
Sir, you are a treasure, have a wondefull weekend!
I really appreciate that. You have a great weekend too.
From what I remember, grifting is easiest performed on slippery slopes.
Grifting is the gift that keeps on giving once you cross the rift of lies by gaming journalists and astroturfing modern audiences.
'Initial G' is an all time favorite classic.
Instructions unclear: Ended up with multi-million dollar streaming deal but cancelled due to sex scandal(s).
Who needs grifting when you have family. The recent controversy surrounding Assassin's Creed Shadows has prompted Japan to start filming a sequel to one very famous franchise. It will be titled The Woke and the Hysterical: Tokyo Grift
Here I thought I was being educated but I think I fell into the trap of sarcasm.
Drifting/grifting is something Th3Birdman can't understand or grasp without an online dictionary (which he uses all the time). Also, I *do* a load of grifting at every Mario Kart game from Nintendo in their store, from 64 to 8. The center *will* always move to the left or right.
I'm learning so much.
Sick moves by the way 😎
The easiest way to define Grifter is to show a picture of Al Sharpton
I thot than Grifting was like lying (or something similar), NOW I know what it really means, Hell! I still remember original meaning of "Dank = Wet", but now it means Dark (I don't know why)..., why do words change meaning with the passage of time?..., SORRY, sorry, sorry, I'm rambling, this video was really fun.
Hahaha fun comment. Words are crazy.
It sucks how often dumb people misuse words they hear to sound clever. Not agreeing with someone's opinions means that person doesn't actually believe in what they're saying somehow. Labels only have impact if you're not handing it out for every occasion.
To all the people attempting a grift the important part is to use your brakes at a decent speed to transfer weight to the front tires and offload the rear during corner entry and then quickly adjust to delicate throttle control and counter steering, keep grifting bros
Thanks for sharing those specific details. We could all use a tutorial like this.
The greatest races of all are high octane grift races. I hear the next Fast and Furious movie will be called "Fast and Furious: Hollywood Grift."
I'm gonna grab some popcorn!
You made me fart laugh at the gravity reveal 😂😂
Good explanation but you forgot to metion that theres a grading system for example: if you are not listening to Initial D while executing the chances of your drift to be classified as grift are near 0
Oh you are right. There's also if you have a cup with water in the cup holder.
Best explanation of this term ever! So many people use it and have NO idea what it actually means.
Now we all know.
Would like to do a video with you going over the overused, abused, and colossally misunderstood term narcissism. This word has been beaten to an absolute pulp, has lost all meaning, and all seriousness in every way shape and form. That's the American way.
"I don't get it."
Its rather genius really, he essentially demonstrated what a 'grift' is. Its gaslighting using pattern recognition to get people to believe 'information' that's loosely based on truth, this case being drifting vs. grifting, when drifting ALREADY uses gravity, so the entire point is moot because he just made up something to get you to believe in something that isn't real. Grifting is also a state of being, trying to make it seem like the grifter is part of groups that they have nothing to do with in order to facilitate support from said groups: ex. Elon Musk being a gamer. You can use grifting to make dog whistles so the actions of an individual can be blamed on an entire group and propaganda to conditions people's thinking pretty easily, its been around for awhile, grifting's just a new term. The oldest term I like using is 'False Apostle'.
Well shit, I didn't know I was a gravity drifter. Just call me DK! Drift King!
Grifting is starting to lose a bit of meaning. It's supposed to be an egregious situation. People who flip opinions on a dime for the sole purpose of making money would be an example. Or people who are doing something and take opinions they care less about just to make money. Doing something and trying to make a living doing it is called hussling usually. Like in the past when people with CD burners at home sold music cds to people at school for money.
Today I was told that my grift will not last longer than 6 more months. Jokes on them, my grift is only beginning! You haven't even seen my ultimate grift form!
Yo that vehicle is low-key fire. It’s got bones n shit
Grifter: someone you agree with but I do not.
That whole video was hella sick dawg 💯
All I could think was BioWare sure failed their attempt to grift.
As a young person I must say this video is hella sick
Don’t forget about DEI. Which we all know is the acronym for Drive Enhanced Inversion.
So what makes these "Chad Dudes" (or "Chuds" as their fans have lovingly dubbed them) uniquely talented at Gravity Drifting?
So was this for mad max or mario kart?
Both!
@sungrandstudios awesome
ask nascar once was enough
It's broadly applicable to any ground vehicle which relies on traction, so pure A-Grav drive vehicles (which aren't generally considered ground vehicles but sometimes get used as such) can't make use of it.
Finally an expert opinion from Sungrand.
Jerrel is a guy that pretends to be a game designer, but he's never actually worked in the industry. Despite all his videos pretending to be.
He's a guy that downloaded the nintendo developer kit that lets you publish games to Switch. There's a reason you've never played his games, you aren't missing anything.
He talks about this on a 'podcast' thats still up on youtube, that its his first project, a solo project, and before that he was cosplaying as a photographer.
Also, this guy is Australian. Yeah sure he spent a bunch of time growing up in the US/SoCal. But this is not the accent I expect from a dude from Australia.
He put on a suit, added a green screen, pretended he worked in the games industry and said the things you wanted to hear, and people ate it up? It must be so exhilerating for Jerrel. You pretended to your friends for so long that you were doing game development. Now you've managed to lie your way into looking like you have credibility.
I will say a video on how to use grifting really is right up your alley. The important thing is to never make a game ever again, you dont want to draw people's eyes to actually creating a new game lest you catch a professional's attention who points out the mistakes that amatuers dont even make anymore.
"grifting on a slope"

I remember you saying that you strive to learn as many skills as possible because you find every moment of life to be precious. That said, I have yet to see you perform the "grifting" maneuver you talk about. Are you perhaps suggesting that there ARE certain skills that aren't practical to learn, such as "grifting"? If you were to nominate someone for the best grifter of our time, or even of all time, who would they be?
Well to be honest I don't actually watch that much racing so I don't know who the world's best grifter is. Grifting tracks also vary around the world as well!
Am I the only one who do not know the meaning of "grifter" even now?
I want to know more about parachutes for horses!
