hi everyone! after finals week, i went on a solo trip to san juan, la union. aka elyu! it was not my first time going to elyu, but it was my first time going alone. in this trip, i tried the food i wasn't able to try before. i ate at kermit, sabong, coco mama, and fatwave 🏝️ (i also bought bagnet with egg at silong)!
i also tried surfing for the first time and now i want to go back again for more surfing lessons 😅
in this trip, i still had work but i am very grateful i can do it anywhere, and anytime😌

Guys, San Juan, La Union is one of those places where you can travel to, alone, relatively safely.
but as always, vigilance is your protection.
And ideally, may reservations na kayo for your lodging. else, magpapalipas kayo ng gabi s 711, like what I did before 😅
Surf instructors are all friendly but Esquivel surf camp is highly recommended. 🏄
Pwede din kayo sumakay ng habal papuntang Tangadan falls.
PRO tip: I eat in San Fernando because the fast foods and the market are there. 😅

@@SlowDownMoments sori po. before, I just take the Partas bus bound for Ilocos. ngayon, I travel by motorbike to LU 😅
pero s Facebook, I see some posts sa mga travel groups offering LU tours. You could start there.

Tip #1. Its easy to walk long distance in Baguio than short distance. Baguio is not like Tagaytay na Flat na may bangin. Mangangalay ka. Nasanay ako sa Metro Manila na grid or contour ang roads.
Mas madaling maglakad ng malayo than maiksi pero matarik.
2. Try mo maghanap ng transient na mura lang. Yung akin kasi sa Brgy. Salud Mitra, Baguio City.
3. Pumunta ka ng first or Second week ng January. Pag February kasi medyo painit na. January is colder naexperience ko 13 degrees.
4. Gumising ka ng 3am para masulit mo yung lamig.

San Juan, La Union is one of those places where you can travel to, alone, relatively safely.

tips: do your research (esp where to go, what you want to do, policies in the municipality), stay safe, if sasakay ng tricycle, you can ask first for their fare so you can decide if it's within your budget
where to eat: would recommend sabong (it's around great northwest) and coco mama (for desserts)
my budget was around ₱8k since i tried restos and activities i wasn't able to try when i first went in elyu :)

hi! haven't tried any hotels yet but you can try to check po sa airbnb :) there are also hostels available. in my case, i stayed at a transient house (more budget friendly) and i just found it from an fb group :)
