To think that ~50% of the chunk of overseas viewers came because of the the 1st gen, i must thank you for staying, even though the first 2 years were probably the hardest for you all. So thank you, for having faith on us, and making our lives somewhat brighter in the situation of the world.
I won't deny this, as my first hololive girls started with Matsuri, to Risu, and down the rabbit hole, but you have to give a lot of credit to the clippers too. If not for them, nor the experience/guide to hololive videos, I dont think many of us would have found hololive when we did.
I don’t think the number is around 50% anymore. Given Gura, Pekora, and Korone’s subscriber counts I’d imagine 1st gen would only be responsible for like 25% of current overseas viewers-which is still a lot. But that’s not to undermine the fact they paved the way for subsequent generations to be as successful as they are now
@@lildyo in Gura's case, being one of the HoloEN members, im pretty sure she's attracted a huge following from those outside of Japan. But I don't think that translates well to the exposure of the other girls though. Not everyone finds content entertaining regardless of the language. Nor are there viewers who would branch out on their own to learn about the rest of hololive. Or Vtubers in general. 1st gen definitely paved the path for hololive, and laid the foundation that make the new generations so successful. But with attracting overseas viewers, its the eccentric and unique personality of every one of them that pulls us in deeper and brings us together in this rabbit hole.

What does BokuHika Mean?

I like how in the 1st verse, they made use of their names into lyrics. I love it when artists are able to do that.

Fubuki's line used the word for Red, for "Akai" Haato, Haato has the word Festival for Matsuri, Matsuri references a "rose" glass for Aki Rosenthal, Aki's line has "meru" for Mel, and Mel references the color white for "Shira"kami Fubuki

To think that ~50% of the chunk of overseas viewers came because of the the 1st gen, i must thank you for staying, even though the first 2 years were probably the hardest for you all.
So thank you, for having faith on us, and making our lives somewhat brighter in the situation of the world.
I won't deny this, as my first hololive girls started with Matsuri, to Risu, and down the rabbit hole, but you have to give a lot of credit to the clippers too. If not for them, nor the experience/guide to hololive videos, I dont think many of us would have found hololive when we did.

I don’t think the number is around 50% anymore. Given Gura, Pekora, and Korone’s subscriber counts I’d imagine 1st gen would only be responsible for like 25% of current overseas viewers-which is still a lot. But that’s not to undermine the fact they paved the way for subsequent generations to be as successful as they are now
@@lildyo in Gura's case, being one of the HoloEN members, im pretty sure she's attracted a huge following from those outside of Japan. But I don't think that translates well to the exposure of the other girls though. Not everyone finds content entertaining regardless of the language. Nor are there viewers who would branch out on their own to learn about the rest of hololive. Or Vtubers in general. 1st gen definitely paved the path for hololive, and laid the foundation that make the new generations so successful. But with attracting overseas viewers, its the eccentric and unique personality of every one of them that pulls us in deeper and brings us together in this rabbit hole.
