squeak squad was lowkey my favorite Kirby game, and nobody ever seems to talk about it. I mean the thing was a masterpiece; between the tons and tons of unlockables, color palettes for Kirby, excellent level design and mechanics, and some of my favorite power-ups in the whole franchise, this game is always fun to play, no matter what. so why is is so friggin underrated?
Just a Snail most people complain that it was too easy, that the story was meh or that it was too short While yes, Dark Nebula was disappointing, yet there are still some challenging bits in this game (Dark Daroach, Mecha Kracko) The story is okay, it mainly builds on coincidences which might come over as lazy, but I really enjoyed the characters it introduced, especially Daroach I don‘t think that the game is too short, it has the optimal length imo Doesn’t change the fact that it is also my favourite, I could also be blinded by nostalgia since it was my first Kirby game

I thought the inclusion of scrolls and the bubble system set it apart from other games, and sure, while it isn't the biggest game, the amount of collectibles between chests and the ghost token are pretty incredible for a handheld game, especially for the time. we even saw some exclusive powers like Magic, one of my favorites in the whole series. I understand if people were bored of the formula, but I think it certainly earns its place among the other titles and is far from bland.
big leggy squeak squad doesn’t have nearly as good level design as later games like robobot. Forcing the player down a split path with no indication of which path leads to a collectible is bad level design, and as someone who always 100%’s every game I play, it’s incredibly annoying. The abilities are also extremely unbalanced, with some being absolutely useless, like metal and. cupid. While others are ridiculously OP, like tornado and hammer. The soundtrack (imo) is a lot weaker than earlier & later games in the series. The final boss is also incredibly underwhelming and is the worst final boss in the main series games. Couple that with a story that doesn’t fit kirby’s character at all, and you just have a game that’s simply not as good compared to most games in the series.
I love how this game feels like being dropped into a giant sandbox and told "you can do things however you want, have fun with it!" It gave the player an amount of freedom never quite seen before or since, and I think the ability bubbles had a lot to do with that.
I unlocked it today and seems to be very bad in my opinion, because you can't run with some enemies or be immortal while ghost, also most of enemies are just a nerf of powers that kirby can get

The way squeak squad handled copy abilities is weird. Some abilities have detailed movesets, like sword and fighter, but others just had one single move, like parasol and ice.
The developers probably used the same assets as Nightmare in Dreamland and The Amazing Mirror because they were too lazy to change the movesets as Nightmare in Dreamland was a remake of Kirby's Adventure, the first to have copy abilities.
Lol dude, I loved how you added the details such as the ice tornado, the flaming wheel, the bubble and the ufo etc. Most of the other channels just show some basic stuff :)
You know. I really like this artstyle for Kirby games a lot more than the 3D one. Also, I love that some of them have idle animations, like Fighter and Ninja! Bring that back!
I'm actually relieved that Magic now can deal damage/have a damaging moveset and still keep it's random hidden power from amazing mirror. I gotta replay this game again, too bad smash and missle was literally removed since they overpowered. And the fact that Flame and Fire are mixed into one.
Ghost Ability actually had me hyped the first time i heard it from the playground but the biggest and most annoying thing is that, you can only get it late in the game. And it's not much that strong or useful. Considering most enemies die in one hit, just use something else, but if you're doing it for fun. It is fun. But remember that you can't climb down ladders. Also only a quarter of the manipulatable enemies are useful and only one third of the manipulatable are ranged, if you manipulate a melee enemy e.g: waddle dee, the user will also take recoil damage.

And I also have a physical copy of Kirby Mass Attack, Triple Deluxe and Planet Robobot. That's my Kirby collection.
good news animal got an upgrade in forgotten land its called drill and although he doesn't bite or eat enemies face off he does drill underground also much faster as for ghost I don't think there gonna do that again for one keep in mind this was developed by flagship a bunch of Capcom employees although I do think ghost kirby was planned and made by both Hal and flagship I can tell that since those Capcom employees worked on many horror games resident evill silent Hill etc they probably were like that's a cool idea let's use it
Something I’ve noticed The 3 abilities (Angel,UFO, and Ghost) grant Kirby automatic flight, instead of inflating. UFO and Ghost Kirby have no feet (Ghost Kirby has feet underneath his sheet as shown in the transformation but they never touch the ground). Although it sucks that that’s the case of not going ladders it at least makes half sense. Angel Kirby can still go down ladders but his feet need to touch the ground.

[PengyN15] it's actually pretty easy to master, even if you don't you can still steamroll (literally) most bosses with it. Remember the annoying Mega Titan from Amazing Mirror? Well with wheel you can, it also has the mighty Wheelie Rider from Superstar and it's remake

I loved being able to make fire/ice/spark swords and bombs. It was a cool idea. I also really like the way Magic was turned into a proper ability in this game. Really wish they'd bring it back in a new game.

Iirc, charging up as Ninja on water also has an elemental effect, but it's really just for the sake of novelty, than anything remotely useful for unlocking secrets.

Fun fact: when fusing Copy Abilities in your inventory, try moving them around before letting them give you random abilities. This will make the bubbles whirling around them change color, making it easier to gain certain Copy Abilities since each color specifies which Ability you'll get.(No idea how to get elemental weapons though, if you know please tell me. I'd appreciate it!)
Everybody shat on this game but this game was the second kirby game (first was kirby n64) to do ability combinations like ice bombs and fire sword and icy tornado and I wish they would do something like this again :(
i love this game bc is like a mix of two of my favorites Kirby games, Crystal Shard and Amazing Mirror. Lot of different copy abilities and the mix of some.

Easily one of my favorite Kirby games. Lots of abilities and lots of bosses. Also the combo ability idea is genius.
And it basically returned in star allies! Heck, A butload of forgotten gimmicks made a comeback in star aloes!
If you’re standing on water while using the Ninja ability, and you use your fire move it will instead dispense water.
Ghost was always my favorite because I loved possessing enemies and using their moves.

My favorite ability was ghost, the idea of controlling enemies just looks so danm cool
Amazing Mirror and Squeak Squad fighter will always be a favourite. The moveset is very Smash besides the actual Smash ability.

Elemental base ability like Flame Sword,Electric Sword and Bomb will alway give correspond elemental if you mixed correct
Just mix the element you want with sword or bomb. I THINK you need to collect a scroll first to allow this feature though

Everybody shat on this game but this game was the second kirby game (first was kirby n64) to do ability combinations like ice bombs and fire sword and icy tornado and I wish they would do something like this again :(
God i hated using sword in this game cause of that good damn ding sound Everytime you use a attack.
I spent hours in this game even after beating it over and over again cuz it was simply so fun
