Big longtime Yankees fan here. Did you see that 3 error 5th inning? Omg. They deserved to lose. Was pulling for the tigers too. I spotted one red oak on one of the 3 properties we have. That’s it ! I’m white pine rich though lol. Have a great day Jerry
@@terryatpi terry, I did see that game. It all started with Aaron judge dropping that fly ball. Then not covering first base Little League issues right there. Oh well. I didn't want the dodgers to win either. I will trade you all the red oak you want for a few White pine logs LOL. Have a great week my friend
Safety Sally’s head is exploding 😂. The band wheels looked like they were running true. Nice looking white Oak. I started turning the logs 90 degrees, I believe I get less flitches to edge that way. Have a good day Jerry
@@AppalachianFarmstead interesting. I just find it hard to get it square when I do that. I also don't like cutting bark. Thanks Mike. Happy election Day lol. Fingers crossed
@ It is harder to get the log square, I try to keep the log stops square, which is a pain the butt sometimes. Especially with a large log. Fingers crossed my friend, I have little confidence in our government anymore. It’s why I do what I do. Stay safe Jerry, the real circus starts now.
Great view of the band wheels. "Safety Nazi"😀 Love it!!!! I wish I had white oak on the farm. Just Red. I'm told that deer and bear prefer white oak acorns over red or black because the white has less tannin. I believe it. Red oak acorns are super bitter.
That's correct about the acorns. Unfortunately most of my red oaks in my 75 acres of forest are dead from oak wilt. I'm hoping the white oaks do better now. I planted about 50 chestnuts 2 years ago and a good majority made it. Thanks Jim for the continued support. PS I too have tried an acorn...they suck lol
Neat siding Jerry! I'd be curios to see how much cup it gets in it over time. You've milled just about everything one could imagine except bevel siding. You ever think about building a jig for that? Have a great week. Ed
@@jbarlazye911 Ed, I have made beveled siding using a stick under the cant. I only did it for a few boards just to see what would happen. As for the cupping and crowning I always go by the saying, Bark side down crown bark side up cup. Hopefully I got them all laid up the right way LOL. You have a great week as well.
Surprising how something looking fine could be so deceiving. Hell to the safety sallys watching this, whats wrong with putting your head in there for a peep about 🤣 Nice job on the boards though, its funny that you mill that and say theyre odd sizes but i mill that kind of stuff for my bread and butter stuff 😀 Keep it going buddy, great work 👍
Something I've never asked you Nick, does your mill have a metric scale or a quarter scale. I'm talking the OS27. I know you put a Dro on it. Yeah you know what happened in a couple of videos later LOL. Thanks for watching in the comment as always buddy.
@@BigelowWoodcraft Hey buddy, sorry im just getting back to your comments now. @@rodneyslone5797 it liked pretty good to me as well. I do have a video that has a catastrophic bearing problem lol. It's coming soon. I was suspecting something. Thanks Rodney. Have a great week my friend
Wheels seemed to run very smooth, blade didn't seem to jump or jerk at all, if anything maybe a little belt slap on the drive belt, but I think that much is pretty normal! Really couldn't see anything that looked out of the normal!
@@timscartoys9321 Tim, in a couple weeks I have a video that comes out. The bearing situation was pretty interesting. Definitely I don't want to spoil the video but let's just say a bearing went out catastrophically. I was expecting something going on. And if it didn't go out I would assumed everything was running well by the video as well. Have a great week. Stay tuned
@@royhuett4892 I think you're seeing it correctly. The weld on that blade was bad too. You can really see that as well. The bearing on the drive wheel failed catastrophically on the next video or two coming out. Have a great week Roy nice chatting with you yesterday.
We would appreciate it if you would subscribe. It really helps the channel. Thank you.

That blade walking out like that is a sure sign a wheel bearing is getting ready to go.
