12:06 The reason the DTM Astra is reminding you of the Opel Astra X-Treme from Blur is because the Astra X-Treme was intended to be a street legal version of the DTM car, complete with a 4L V8 Engine, Sequential Gearbox, RWD and Gullwing Doors. They built a one-off Prototype and presented it during at least one of the big car shows in the early 00´s. Opel did plan to have a very limited production run of it and even had a few pre-orders for that, but for whatever reason it just never happened. Kinda sad if you ask me, because the thought of a illusive Opel Astra of all things that reportedly was capable of achieving a top speed somewhere between 310 - 330 km/h sounds so insane that you just want it to be a real life thing.
Astra DTM is completely underrated.
What happened at the start with the save states is the reason why you NEVER map a button to the controller, always use it from the keyboard XD
I don't even map load state to a keybind i'm so paranoid about brushing my keyboard and losing 4 hours of progress.
Me too. Seems like save states in GT4 Randomizer is way different.
With Save states: If the game ever autosaves, NEVER load a state that goes before said autosave, else you get the memory card issue. Basically only use states where the game doesn't save (license tests, in between races in championships or during a race).
(Take the next bit with grain of salt, not 100% on this): Should you have any save states that are during a championship OR a License test/race and you quit the emulator; When you boot the game next time DON'T let the game load the last autosave. Make sure you instantly load your save state else save ded.
Just don't use save states on this game really or if you do, use sparingly or rebind to keyboard. You can also semi remove autosaves in GT4s Misc options menu. I say semi as it will still save when you switch cars and I think you have to turn it on each time you load the game in.
Thing is, its actually fairly easy to remember at which points the game loads/saves the game. The main screen for gt mode.. the map. And for licenses its where you choose the test. Plus, the emulator will display a text saying "memory card inserted" if you load a nolonger valid savestate.

@@RainbowPuschel Yeah it's not hard to remember where the game saves, and you can turn off all of those by turning off autosave so it's just switching cars that triggers a save. Truely though, the game makes a lot of saves so you really don't have to save state everything (and shouldn't be your main source of saving for any game). You practically only need them to skip waiting on license test restarts, mission mode timers and during endurance races; the game does the rest for you.
It always happen to me when i play on aethersx2 and using save states XD but atleast my memory card are able to save data after i find the problem
Your reliance on save states is whats ruining the save file. It doesn't help you have it bound to a button on your controller so you keep accidentally hitting it so it will just eventually bork your save.

Those .298 times for medals are probably acquired by first setting the Gold time and then doing percentages off from the gold time; I think it works in a similar way for Trackmania

the difference with Trackmania however, is that there is a ghost that actually drives the track with that pace, so someone must have actually gotten that time. Gran Turismo has no ghosts as far as I'm aware, so percentages are a good guess.
Interesting, it appears this mod also changed the sound effects of the cars. The Ford GT LM had a V6 esque sound originally but now it was swapped over with a proper V8. Same with the Camaro LM. I don't know why the devs thought it was a good idea to give these cars those V6 sounds originally.
Also, new favorite Kuru edit moment: "Bull...... AAAAAAAAAA- *cuts*". I laughed for a solid 5 minutes at how silly that was. 🥴
The randomizer is based off the Spec II mod made by the same author, one of the things it does is replace the engine sounds, so that's why.

I'm pretty sure if you have saved the game, went back in time with save states, and then saving the game is how you bricked your save
Only use save states in-between actual saves is right way to do it
IB6 and IB7 tests are different. IB6 has you driving with traction control on. In IB7, you have traction control off.

(Joke's aside I'd recommend getting a controller that has paddles on the back so you can map your save states to there, or if you're adamant on having them set to the main buttons; map the functions they replace onto the paddles)

from what i understand this game's save files corrupt easily if you use save states too often so your computer is incidentally punishing you for cheating too much
Cizeta is a company made up a bunch of Lambo engineers that got fired. they said they can make a better competitor to the diablo and thats what they came up with

I ever got Shioriko Mifune's Mazda 787B after only completing A License, then getting the C9 Sauber from Ayumu Uehara after winning ONLY THE SUNDAY CUP! But.... I somehow only got the VW Lupo GTi Cup Car for winning the 24hrs Of LeMans Race I! 😅

If you buy the street variant of the R390 in the classic Nissan showroom, then it has better handling than the GT1 racing variant because you can slap a spoiler on it. That R390 street car is enough to beat the GT world championship.
If you don't factor in how unstable and wheelspin ready it is.

The save file can be fixed by just deleting it in the emulator settings. Then the game writes a clean one and should work again.

Easy answer if it's on console with this mod it would be on PS2 through a softmodded memory card and a hard drive either USB (if slim model) or internal HDD (if fat model) if it's emulator then it's PCSX2 probably PCSX2 since he has Save States great emulator but you need a really powerful PC to run it at full speed alongside a few fixes for graphics and/or gameplay it also supports racing wheels so if you wanna play that way you can
